Android 15 deve ser lançado entre fevereiro e março de 2024

Entre os meses de fevereiro e março de 2024, o Google deverá lançar a primeira prévia de desenvolvimento do Android 15, de codinome "Vanilla Ice Cream."

Por enquanto, não há muitas informações sobre quais serão os planos com o novo sistema do Android, mas certamente o Google já tem sim, seu cronograma detalhado de recursos e inovações que devem vir.

Os gestos inteligentes ou preditivos, é algo que começou a ser implementado lá no Android 13, com promessa de versão final no Android 14. Pixel Launcher e possibilidades de personalizar a tela de bloqueio devem ser melhoradas no Android V.

VanillaIceCream disponível para Redmi Note 8/8T

Sim, é o que você tá lendo mesmo. O Redmi Note 8 só não roda iOS porque não existe source.

"Ah, mas como isso é possível?" Foi explicado na primeira versão nas notas. Este projeto é baseado na versão AOSP pura do VanillaIceCream, geralmente sempre é liberado uma versão mais "simples" do próximo OS. VanillaIceCream, é na verdade o Android 15, caso você ainda não saiba.

Google faz build AOSP Master no Android CI, e uma das últimas que temos, é direcionada e referente ao Android 15 (VanillaIceCream), mas como sistema puro, apenas a construção dela é gerada.

É esperado que a cada lançamento de uma nova versão do #Android, o suporte a uma versão mais antiga do kernel Linux seja descontinuado. Por exemplo, o #Android14 exigia o Linux 4.14 ou superior, enquanto o #Android13 requer o Linux 4.9 ou superior.

A #Google realiza testes e disponibiliza uma tabela com as versões do kernel suportadas em cada lançamento do Android. No entanto, essa tabela ainda não foi atualizada para refletir os requisitos do Android 15.

O Linux 4.14 tem uma data de encerramento de suporte prevista para janeiro de 2024. Isso significa que os dispositivos que suportam apenas o Linux 4.14 não receberão uma atualização para o próximo sistema operacional, pelo menos é o que parece indicar.

Since the development of Android 13, this feature has been in the works, even in the Android 14 betas. You can activate it by going to Settings » System » Developer options.

But why isn't it available in the stable version of Android 14?
According to Mishaal Rahman, Google is giving developers more time to implement and adapt the feature in their apps.

So, it seems that the feature will likely be fully functional and enabled by default in Android 15 (VanillaIceCream).

Between February and March 2024, Google is set to release the first Development Preview of Android 15, codenamed 'VanillaIceCream.'

The Predictive Back Gestures are something that began to be implemented back in Android 13 and now on the A14 QPR betas. This includes additional clock options, new Pixel Launcher features integrated with Google widgets and services, and, of course, the power of artificial intelligence.

Currently, there isn't much information available regarding the specific plans for the new Android system. However, it's certain that Google has a detailed roadmap of features and innovations in store.

For years, Android has maintained those horrible status bar icons without any changes. But it appears that with Android 15 slowly being redesigned, the status bar will gain new icon formats, with the battery icon now in horizontal orientation.

- Do you like this change? I'm glad they're finally going to tweak it. Now they just need to improve the Quick Settings (yes, I hate the Pixel QS too).
