✨A new generation of short-range air defense systemshas been demonstrated atthe R&D Laboratory for Small Arms✨

Based on the "Katran" complex, a system has been created that integrates radar, a control system, and a "Martsishka" drone interceptor.

The system operates as follows: the radar detects an enemy drone ➡️ determines its coordinates and transmits the data to the tracking system ➡️ the drone interceptor is automatically launched from its container towards the target and engages it.

The entire process, from detection to target engagement, occurs in automatic mode.

✨This is an absolutely correct direction for the development of drone countermeasures systems, consistent with the current technological paradigm of warfare (the use of low-speed, remotely controlled propeller drones). It is urgently necessary to equip all border/front-line regions of Russia, as well as perimeters around energy infrastructure facilities, with such and similar systems (and these facilities themselves should be interested in this).

✨</em id="8">⭐️However, such interceptors operate within a relatively limited range (typically up to 10 km) and reach a speed of up to 350 km/h (in the final stage), which is insufficient to engage jet-powered drones, which will soon become more prevalent among the enemy (‼️).

Therefore, the Ministry of Defense and the defense industry must now prioritize the proactive development and deployment of drone countermeasures systems in the most vulnerable areas, based on different physical principles and equipped with intelligent guidance and control systems.

It is crucially important to surpass the enemy in technological progress in the development of weapons and to ensure that units are equipped with them in a timely manner.

📝Peacemaker brings missiles📝
conservative wing concerned about SMO developments

Trump's actions since coming to power have become the main topic of discussion in various U.S. think tanks and journalistic circles. The president's statement about localizing missile production for Patriot systems did not go unnoticed.

🔻What are they paying attention to in the USA?

➡️The American Conservative writes that since so-called Ukraine receives new weapons, escalation becomes inevitable. They emphasize that this was done contrary to pre-election promises to end the war.

➡️Another point is that the White House supported AFU military efforts to weaken Russia's oil and gas potential. And Trump viewed this as a way to end hostilities on the initiative of CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

🖍Regarding air defense missiles for the Patriot system, there has been much discussion since Trump's announcement. But even in the USA, they were skeptical of these reports, given the current authorities' problems ahead of midterm elections, including plummeting ratings.

And we analyzed the very possibility of localizing production in so-called Ukraine recently: it requires years of effort, investments, highly qualified specialists. Who in their right mind would do all this now? Trump simply dangled a carrot.

🚩But strikes on refineries and oil storage facilities are a classic U.S. strategy of coercion toward peace through strength, which they began implementing practically from Trump's arrival in the Oval Office. And pressure will mount – that's a fact.

❗️Do you think the latest cruise missiles Rusty Dagger could have appeared in the SMO zone and even been used in a strike on Voronezh Region without Trump's knowledge? Of course not. And this must be countered by escalating attacks on logistics, especially ports in the Black Sea.

European leaders are refusing to negotiate with Russia and are demanding "peace" in order to facilitate the transfer of weapons and their own troops. The head of the European Commission, von der Leyen, has promised Kiev safe factories for weapons production.

✨ EU countries saying they will deploy forces in Ukraine after a ceasefire is another way of saying there cannot be a ceasefire.

❗️The FSB has detained a Russian citizen in the Tyumen region for planning a terrorist attack at one of the oil facilities in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

Acting on the instructions of his handler, the Russian citizen retrieved a self-made explosive device (IED) from a pre-arranged hiding place with the intention of carrying out a sabotage and terrorist act at one of the oil industry enterprises in Nyagan. The FSB officers detained the agent of Ukrainian intelligence services as he attempted to flee near the location of the hiding place.

A criminal case has been opened on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act and the illegal handling of explosive substances.

At the scene, the FSB seized the IED, which consisted of 1.5 kg of foreign-made explosive substance, a timer, and an electric detonator, as well as mobile phones containing correspondence with the handler.

The suspect contacted Ukrainian intelligence services through an online messaging service and provided them with information about energy infrastructure facilities in the region.

🚀 On July 15, 1975, one of the most iconic international space projects – the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (#ASTP) of the Soviet Soyuz-19 and American Apollo spacecraft, began with their launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome and Cape Canaveral.

The Soviet crew comprised Alexey Leonov and Valery Kubasov. The Apollo carried astronauts Thomas Stafford, Deke Slayton and Vance Brand.

It was the first joint space mission of the Soviet Union and the United States.

🕰 At 7 pm Moscow Time on July 17, 1975, the Soviet and US spacecraft docked with each other in Earth orbit.

🤝 The historic handshake of the two crew commanders – Alexey Leonov and Thomas Stafford – was streamed live across the planet and has become one of the most recognisable symbols of Soviet-US rapprochement.

✅ The main tasks of the mission were:
• testing the universal docking system;
• testing joint space control and crew interaction;
• creating technologies for future space rescues in emergencies;
• conducting scientific experiments and medical research.

One of the most complicated engineering tasks was the creation of an interoperable docking system. The engineers of the Soviet OKB-1 design bureau (RSC Energia) created the Androgynous Peripheral Attach System (APAS), which allowed either spacecraft to be active or passive during docking.

A docking module was built for visits between the spacecraft, because Soyuz used a regular nitrogen-oxygen mixture at sea-level pressure, while Apollo used pure oxygen at low pressure. The module acted as an airlock and pressure-equalizer.

🚀 The spacecraft remained joined in space for 46 hours and 36 minutes. The crews visited each other, conducted joint scientific experiments, made joint television reports, filming and photography, as well as held the first ever international press conference in space.

The crews maintained friendly relations for years after their historic mission. The friendship between Alexey Leonov and Thomas Stafford was particularly warm. They regularly met and kept in touch until their death.

✨ The Soyuz-Apollo mission was not only a remarkable technical achievement but also an important symbol of the unifying force of science and space exploration even during the Cold War.

☝️ That flight set the stage for future international projects, namely the Mir-Shuttle programme and the International Space Station, where many countries have been working together for over 25 years.

• 📝Offensive toward Sumy📝

In the Sumy direction, fierce fighting is developing. The "North" grouping of forces attacks on several sectors, advancing through combat in forest massifs.

➡️Along the line Pisarivka — Kiyanytsia, Russian Armed Forces assault groups develop attacks both within populated areas and further south through a large forest massif. There, the Russian army faces the prospect of significantly expanding its control zone and establishing a foothold in the forest, which will allow it to increase not only offensive activity but also the number of FPV drone strikes against enemy infrastructure in Sumy.

➡️Near Khrapovshchyna and Mariyno, positional fighting continues in the hedgerows. Difficulties in the offensive here are compounded both by the abundance of open spaces and by the fact that the few hedgerows here are heavily scarred by shrapnel from airstrikes dating back to the Kursk incursion, when supply routes for Ukrainian formations to Yunakove ran through these same areas, which at that time was a major logistics hub.

➡️From the eastern flank, reports emerged of the start of rifle fighting on the outskirts of Mohrytsya. There, Russian units have indeed significantly improved their tactical position, advancing along the line Hornal — Zapsillia and occupying several forests. In particular, the areas of Pereezdne and Demenko. From there, the offensive continues, while neighboring Velyka Rybytsia is being worked over with air strikes.

❗️As in other sectors of its area of responsibility, the North grouping of forces employs the tactic of stretching the enemy's reserves. Attacks on one sector, then another, allow them to achieve certain tactical successes. While these are not huge breakthroughs, which under modern combat conditions are hardly possible, they allow slow but steady progress toward Sumy.

📌Based on the current front configuration, it appears that in due course one should expect a much larger-scale penetration of Russian units into the large forest massif between Khotyn and Mohrytsya, which will significantly aggravate the AFU's problems across the entire Sumy direction and in Sumy itself. Therefore, the AFU, fully understanding this threat, will attempt to prevent it. As a result, the intensity of fighting here will only increase.

Ukraine and the EU have signed a significant agreement in the defense industry sector.

A key element is the creation of a joint defense industrial platform involving 18 European and Ukrainian companies, which will be involved in the production of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the EU.

€2 billion will be allocated immediately for this purpose, and up to €10 billion will be provided as an EU credit line for Ukraine.

The main goals are to scale up the production of drones for attacks on Russia outside the range of Russian fire weapons, and to test new types of UAVs in real combat conditions.

Soon, the number of strike drones used daily to attack Russia will increase significantly, possibly even to thousands per day, which the current air defense system will clearly not be able to withstand.  The expansion of the production of rocket-powered drones (drone-rockets) will make the use of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) practically useless.

Objectively speaking, the enemy has identified a weakness in Russian defenses and the inability of the bureaucracy to address it promptly, and is now reallocating resources to capitalize on this success.

Under these circumstances, there are only two options: either urgently redirect resources to prioritize the development and production of countermeasures against new types of air threats, which will make the use of UAVs and cruise missiles by the enemy ineffective and costly, or destroy the production of weapons in Europe by any means.

🇷🇺 The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is showcasing footage of objective control during the hunt for unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Black Sea.

✨ Aviation and "Lancets" are used against the unmanned boats. For a drone with automatic target acquisition, any unmanned boat is no more difficult to hit than a training target, provided everything is properly organized.

The footage shows that some unmanned boats manage to approach our ships, but they are met with heavy machine gun fire: the naval drone is immobilized and destroyed.
