If choosing the right answer is an approach then reducing negative marks is also needed. How to reduce the negative marks?

I had a simple approach to know why I'm getting negative marks. What gets measured gets managed. So let's measure our negative marks.

Once you correct your mock test use the following table to mark the wrong ones

1. Lack of knowledge/content
2. Carelessness
3. Inability to take risk. (You knew the answer but you couldn't mark it)
4. Time constraints
5. Struck in two options and got wrong(eliminated two wrong options correctly)
6. Struck in three options and got wrong (eliminated one wrong option correctly)

Do the above marking for the questions that you've not attempted too. I'm sure once you do this you'll have a better picture of why you are getting negatives.

Let's try to make 2&3 = 0. No wrong marking, marking other bubble, didn't read the question or answer properly etc. In the exam nervousness you'll definitely make mistakes here which will cost you dear. So no careless mistakes.
Take calculated risk. If you've read something somewhere try remembering it and mark them. Don't mark fluke questions. This is not the place to test your luck.

Finally mark as many questions for which you know the answer. The cutoff in the past few years were 107, 116, 107, 98. So don't have an absolute number. The higher the better your chances. You'd be lucky if you get selected for forest service too.

So reduce your negative markings. Analyze your answers properly. Base yourself on facts. Goodnight

If choosing the right answer is an approach then reducing negative marks is also needed. How to reduce the negative marks? I had a simple approach to know why I'm getting negative marks. What gets measured gets managed. So let's measure our negative marks.…
1. Lack of knowledge/content - analyze this subject wise and revise where you get max of this
2. Carelessness - this is absolute blunder. Don't lose the focus
3. Inability to take risk. (You knew the answer but you couldn't mark it) - COURAGE and CONFIDENCE is needed. You can mark these
4. Time constraints - practice more
5. Struck in two options and got wrong(eliminated two wrong options correctly) - see what logic you are applying. Try alternate logic. At least 65% should be correct here
6. Struck in three options and got wrong (eliminated one wrong option correctly) - content deficit practice needed
