Today's Crypto Price: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Avalanche, and Polygon all increase by 15%

Major crypto tokens were trading higher, with the largest token, Bitcoin, trading above the $22,000 mark. Ethereum stayed over $1,500 levels.

However, market experts say it is too soon to assume that the worst is over for the crypto markets.

All crypto tokens were trading higher on Tuesday, with the exception of the dollar-pegged USD Coin and Tron. Polygon increased by more than 15%, while Ethereum increased by 9%. Avalanche gains approximately 8%.

The worldwide cryptocurrency market cap was trading at $1.02 trillion, up nearly 3% in the previous 24 hours. Total bitcoin trade volume increased by nearly 66% to $109.40 billion.

Singapore's Monetary Authority Will Announce Plans To Become A Crypto Hub

The Monetary Authority of Singapore has put out a press release regarding crypto regulations. In the press release, the managing director of MAS, Mr Ravi Menon, stated that Singapore was “at the forefront, with a clear licensing and regulatory framework”, and that the main focus has been to reduce money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
Mr. Menon then explained how Singapore will employ strategies to become a digital asset hub. He said:

“Next month, we will organise a dedicated Green Shoots seminar to share our strategies to develop Singapore as a digital asset hub. We will explain our position on cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, blockchains, tokenisation, smart contracts, digital assets, etc. – their risks and opportunities; shortcomings and potential.
We will set out how our developmental and regulatory approaches will work in harmony to achieve the vision of Singapore as an innovative and responsible digital asset hub.

Bitcoin and Ethereum gain ground, while MATIC maintains its strength.

Bitcoin's price remained above the USD 22,500 support level.
Ethereum has recovered and is almost above USD 1,600, while XRP is rising.
MATIC gained 12%, while SNX, APE, and CRV outperformed.
After extending its drop below USD 23,000, bitcoin was able to hold above the USD 22,500 support and rise higher once more. It is currently trading near USD 22,950 (03:50 UTC), up about 1% in a day and 12% in a week.

Similarly, the majority of big altcoins are showing symptoms of a new surge. ETH gained 5% and nearly retested the USD 1,600 barrier zone. XRP has remained above the critical USD 0.35 support level. ADA is seeking to break above the USD 0.50 level.

Texas GOP to include crypto in the state's constitution.

The Texas GOP platform calls for the state’s Bill of Rights to include a clause allowing citizens to own, hold and use whatever medium of exchange they choose, including digital currency.

“The right of the people to own, hold and use a mutually agreed upon medium of exchange, including cash, coin, bullion, digital currency or scrip, when trading and contracting for goods and services shall not be infringed," begins the clause Texas Republicans would like to see added to the state's Bill of Rights.

“No government shall prohibit or encumber the ownership or holding of any form or amount of money or other currency,” the platform continues. “Explicit protections [are needed] for the natural right of Texans to keep and exchange and store their wealth in the mediums of exchange of [their] choice.”
