Ethereum surpasses $2,000 as the network approaches the Merge Event.

The Merge is coming up in September, and Ethereum supporters are displaying their excitement by purchasing ETH.

According to CoinMarketCap data, Ethereum (ETH) resumed its bull run and recovered the $2,000 barrier late Friday night for the first time since May.

The second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization was up to $2,014 at the time of writing, up 7% in the previous 24 hours and 17% in the previous week. In the last month, it has roughly doubled.

According to Coinglass data, more over $152 million in Ethereum short bets have been liquidated in the last 24 hours. According to Beaconscan statistics, 13.2 million ETH has been staked on Ethereum 2.0, a new all-time high for the metric.

Samsung partners with Theta lab for upcoming NFT ecosystem.

Theta Networks will distribute Galaxy NFTs as part of a
new initiative to provide innovative consumer
experiences to Samsung users, including access to
virtual events via ThetaPass.

Samsung Electronics has reached an agreement with
partners, including Theta Labs, to operate an NFT
ecosystem for its upcoming Galaxy mobile phones.

"Samsung Electronics encourages user experience
innovation by connecting non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in
the internet virtual world to offline actual benefits."

Samsung aims to use NFTs to provide "practical
benefits" such as customer discounts and an
authentication tool; further specifics will be revealed at
a phone revealing event on August 10.

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Spain's two most successful soccer teams, have submitted a joint Metaverse trademark application. The teams intend to offer virtual reality games and cryptocurrency transaction management software to their followers.

The Spanish colossuses are not the only ones in the soccer world to make such a move. The English Crystal Palace requested permission to develop non-fungible tokens (NFTs), virtual apparel, and crypto marketplaces in June.

Despite being strong competitors on the soccer field, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have decided to collaborate in the realm of cryptocurrency. The clubs applied for a Metaverse trademark about a week ago, but the news was only just confirmed by attorney Mike Kondoudis.

According to the United Nations trade and development organisation UNCTAD, over 7% of Indians owned bitcoin in 2021. UNCTAD also noted that the use of cryptocurrencies worldwide, including in poor nations, has expanded dramatically during the COVID-19 epidemic.

The agency recently looked at the factors that contributed to cryptocurrencies' quick adoption in developing nations, including, among other things, the ease of sending money home.

While cryptocurrencies can make remittances easier, they may also make it possible to evade taxes and avoid paying them through unauthorised transfers, much like to a tax haven where ownership is difficult to trace.

"Recent market shocks involving digital currencies imply that holding crypto has privacy dangers, but if the central bank intervenes to safeguard financial stability, then the problem becomes a public one," it stated.

Uses of OBV:

A great way to look for resistance breaks is to consider the closing prices that are the main players in the OBV realm.
A trend reversal in the bullish or bearish direction can be predicted through divergence signals. They are based on the idea that volume always comes before price (similar to OBV).
