❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 About the missile attack on Crimea and Sevastopol by the AFU

As we suggested yesterday, the Ukrainian forces attempted to strike Crimea again a day later. This time, the AFU approached the attack more prepared: in anticipation of the raid, the aviation moved to several bases to divert attention.

🔻At around 16:20, five Su-24M bombers and two MiG-29 fighters took off from the airbases of Starokonstantinov, Myrhorod, and Kanatovo. They launched Storm Shadow cruise missiles and several ADM-160 MALD decoys in the direction of the peninsula.

▪️ The first missile was shot down over Uyutny near Yevpatoriya. The debris from Storm Shadow caused minor damage to infrastructure, but no casualties were recorded.

▪️ Two more “Storms”, rounding Cape Fiolent, attempted to attack air defense units in Sevastopol. The missiles were not shot down, but they did not reach their target - the military personnel of the 31st division continue to work.

▪️ The crew of the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system destroyed several more air targets (the attacks were a combination of cruise missiles and decoys) over Pesochnaya Bay near Tauride Chersonese.

▪️ And a couple of “Storms” were shot down in the vicinity of the Fedyukhin Heights and at the Balaklava CHP. From the flight path, it appears that the target could have been an important energy facility.

🔻In total, Russian military personnel shot down ten missiles, most of which were Storm Shadow. The nature of this raid indicates the enemy’s tactics in attacks on Crimea.

In the initial stage, the AFU actively targeted ships and objects of the Black Sea Fleet, forcing them to stay close to their own bases. Now, the enemy is attempting to destroy the air defense on the peninsula.

And the next stage, based on the trends, is likely to involve attacks on the Crimean Bridge. It doesn't matter that it won't provide any tactical advantage. The main objective is the PR effect, as well as reputational losses for the Russian leadership.

Meanwhile, fighters of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense Division are currently repelling a drone attack, after which a missile attack is possible.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Offensive West of Donetsk: Liberation of Vodyanoy
Situation at the end of March 31, 2024

Since the end of 2022, Russian troops have been engaged in fierce battles for Vodyane. Today, the village was successfully liberated by soldiers of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on this development. However, online footage clearly shows the DPR flag flying over a house on the western outskirts of the village.

Vodyanoy itself comprises only Gagarin Street, lined with dilapidated buildings on both sides. The offensive in this area faced significant challenges due to the AFU's control over the neighboring village of Pervomaiskoye.

To prevent a counterattack from Ukrainian forces in the south, Russian troops destroyed the bridge between the two settlements. The liberation of Vodyanoy will also intensify pressure on Pervomaisky, complicating the enemy's position there.

❗️Two weeks prior, Russian Armed Forces units had already expanded their control zone in Pervomaisky, nearing the ruins of the Pershotravnevka-35 substation at the village center. However, due to insufficient personnel, determining the exact frontline configuration in the populated area remains a challenge.

🔻Success in this front section has brought Russian military personnel closer to commencing the battle for Netailovo and advancing further west. The primary objective is to push the frontline away from Donetsk as much as possible to safeguard its residents from ongoing enemy attacks.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Combined strike on Crimea

🔻Last night, the AFU carried out a new attack on the Crimean peninsula after several days of pause. Ahead of the strike, Ukrainian unmanned surface vessels were spotted near Crimea.

Around noon, two drones were destroyed west of Sevastopol by Ka-29 and Mi-24 helicopters. In the evening, another USV was detected and shot down by an Mi-8 crew northwest of Cape Tarkhankut.

🔻But the main events unfolded after midnight.

▪️First, eight ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles were fired from the Mykolaiv Region towards Kerch. Units of the 31st Division successfully shot down all targets. However, due to the use of a cluster warhead, some debris fell in the area of the Kerch Port, damaging two ferries, but greater damage was avoided.

▪️Simultaneously, up to six USVs were detected near Chornomorske, and fire was opened on them. Two of them penetrated the Uzka Bay. One (the video of which is already online) struck a boat at the pier, while the second was destroyed nearby, slightly damaging a nearby boat.

At the same time, a Ukrainian drone from the Odesa Region was operating slightly northwest of Chornomorske, monitoring the situation on the peninsula.

❗️An important point is the enemy's tactics. The USVs were at a distance until the missile danger alert was announced for Crimea. At that signal, all the boats began entering the bay, and the boom barriers were briefly opened.

And at that moment, two drones managed to penetrate the bay, taking advantage of the lifting of the nets that covered the entrance to the Black Sea Fleet and FSB border service base.

That is, the attacks were not only geographically separated - one in the east of Crimea, the other in the northwest - but also carried out simultaneously for a reason. The entrance to the bay was open, and there were fewer personnel due to the missile strike threat.

🇷🇺🖍 Happy Airborne Forces Day!

On August 2, 1930, during exercises near Voronezh, the first parachute drop of a group of Soviet paratroopers took place. This day is considered the founding date of the national Airborne Forces.

Over the 94 years, the Airborne Forces have been through the crucible of almost all the wars and armed conflicts that Russia has faced, often being at the forefront. Since the start of the Special Military Operation, there have been many more glorious pages added to the history of the "winged infantry".

Soldiers in blue berets landed in Gostomel and Voznesensk, liberated the LPR, and held the defense near Kherson. They are clearing islands on the Dnieper, advancing in Chasiv Yar, and fighting in the Kharkiv region. There is no strategic direction where the paratroopers have not made their mark.

The current realities are forcing a revision of many pre-SMO assumptions and concepts, requiring certain changes. And may these changes in the case of the Airborne Forces lead to an increase in their combat capabilities and potential.

In Kursk Region, a decrease in the intensity of attacks by the enemy, who has focused efforts on holding occupied territories and engineering the fortification of positions, is observed.

The official purpose of the trip was to participate in commemorative events honoring the victory on the Khalkhin Gol River. During the trip, the Mongolian and Russian sides also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. Agreements were signed in the field of petroleum product supplies, aviation fuel and other documents.

▪️For many media and various commentators, two issues overshadowed the other results of the negotiations - the "Power of Siberia-2" gas pipeline and Mongolia's non-compliance with the provisions of the Rome Statute and the demands of the ICC.

Since the project is of particular importance, the topic of the gas pipeline was discussed at the Russian-Mongolian negotiations. This is confirmed not only by the statements of Vladimir Putin, but also by the interview of the President of the Russian Federation to the Mongolian publication "Onoodor" - in it he mentioned the possibility of Mongolia using transit gas for its own purposes.

🔻For Mongolia, Russia is one of the important foreign policy priorities. This is evidenced not only by the statements of politicians, but also by the economic situation. Ulaanbaatar has long been dependent on supplies of Russian fuel.

Against this background, Mongolia is actively implementing the so-called "third neighbor" policy, that is, developing relations not only with traditional partners such as Russia and China, but also with other countries that do not border Mongolian territory. We are primarily talking about the USA, South Korea, Japan and the EU.

There is a real struggle for Mongolia's resources, of which there are indeed many, on the part of Western and East Asian countries. This is also due to the demand from Mongolian enterprises that are actively seeking inflows of foreign investment.

Given the speed with which Western NGOs, politicians and businesses are spreading their influence in the country, the possibility of implementing plans to develop cooperation between Mongolia and Russia may soon be under threat. And perhaps the visit of the head of the Russian state will give impetus to correcting the current situation.
