The Discipline Behind the Dream: Ethiopian Doctors on the Road to the USMLE Match
Ethiopian doctors are known for their resilience and determination. Many have made remarkable sacrifices, saving from limited resources, investing close to a million birr, and dedicating their time, energy, and focus to prepare for the USMLE and secure a residency match.
I would like to sincerely congratulate the 2026 USMLE Matched applicants who have achieved this milestone after such a demanding journey. For those still in Ethiopia, I truly wish you a smooth and successful visa process without obstacles.
This path is not easy, but it remains a powerful source of motivation for others walking the same road. Once again, congratulations. 👏👏
