, 📰 The Gaza Starvation Index: War by Hunger, Peace by Blockade

💭 “His treatment is food and water.”

— Clinic staff to the mother of 18-month-old Mohammed al-Mutawaq, diagnosed with severe malnutrition

📊 When Kids Die for Flour
• At least 111 starvation deaths, 81 of them children, have been recorded by Gaza’s Health Ministry.
• Doctors describe a sharp rise in malnourished children, many previously healthy — like Siwar Barbaq, now under 9 pounds at 11 months.
• One-third of Gaza’s population hasn’t eaten in days, per the World Food Program.
The war’s new frontline isn’t made of rubble — it’s the empty stomach of a child in a tent.

💼 Aid or Optics? Who’s Starving Whom?
• Israel blames Hamas for looting trucks and running “famine theater”.
• Hamas and aid groups blame Israel’s siege and shoot-to-disperse tactics around food convoys.
• Meanwhile, a new private American-Israeli aid consortium handles distribution — and most shootings, UN says, occur near its sites.
It’s not just about food anymore. It’s about who controls the camera when the bread is dropped.

📋 Systemic Collapse, Surgical Starvation
• Gaza’s hospitals report children dying for lack of milk, IV fluids, or just calories.
• Medical staff are treating patients while hungry themselves — surviving on spoons of plain rice.
• Entire families live under tarps, trying to survive on charity kitchens that often run dry.
• Israel counters with footage: Hamas fighters eating fruit in tunnels, pallets of uncollected aid.
This is not a natural famine. It’s a man-made algorithm of siege, chaos, PR — and plausible deniability.

🤔 If every side blames the other for hunger — who’s keeping score of the dead?
