🚀 Israel’s Space Front Against the Huthies
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
The war Israel has been embroiled in since October 7 is often referred to as a "seven-front war," but this is a misconception. There is an eighth front, the final frontier: the space front.
For decades, several countries have been preparing themselves for when warfare expands into space — the US, China, India, and others have tested weaponry designed for threats beyond Earth. This included missiles fired into space and intercepted in controlled scenarios.
But Israel became the first country to move space warfare out of the realm of tests and theory and into actual practice— even if unintentionally. 🛰
On October 31, 2023 — less than a month into the war with Hamas, which would later expand — the Houthis in Yemen fired a ballistic missile at Israel.
The missile was a Qadr, manufactured by Iran, and it went higher than any before: above 100 km, past the Karman line — the official boundary between Earth and space. ☄️
"Israel’s interception of a ballistic missile in space is impressive," but it confirms that ballistic missiles are capable of spaceflight, making them an even greater threat.
Since 2023, Israel has had to defend itself from barrages launched from Yemen and Iran — a new era in missile warfare.
And this isn't just about missiles: space is now a battlefield for intelligence gathering, satellite coordination, and surveillance — all vital in modern warfare.
