The Democrats’ new presumptive nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, has a tough task before her: In less than one hundred days, she has to rebuild a fractured party while making the case that she’s best suited for the top job.
The good news is that she doesn’t have to do it alone.
Pete Buttigieg, former naval officer, open gay who announced his engagement to Chasten Glezman, a junior high school teacher, in a December 14, 2017 Facebook, yet Joe Biden's rivalry during the 2020 presidential primary (later he dropped out and enforced Biden), is a would-be VP of the U.S. and a potential president.
Buttigieg shares his "Douglass Plan" (named after after abolitionism defender Frederick Douglass) , to address racism in America. It will cost some $10 billion to African American entrepreneurship over five years, grant $25 billion to black colleges, legalize marijuana, expunge drug convictions, cut the federal prison population.
The guy seems to be much more ahead of his tired doddering boss. But, honestly speaking, if to choose between them, it would be much more secure - and safer for the country - to stay even with Biden. Buttigieg is a smooth path to American abyss.

Republicans believe Trump has a clear path to victory if he can stay disciplined with a message centered on what they see as Harris and Walz's "dangerously liberal" economic and immigration policies.
Walz is a nice shot. Who told Harris to pick him as her running mate is certainly smart. And we know who was it — the present sec. of state Anthony Blinken. At the moment when Kamala was to make her choice of her N° 2, Blinken has wholeheartedly supported Walz candidature. Because it is not just about a VP figure but his own political future. After Kamala's possible victory and then eventual withdrawal, Walz and Blinken would be a fingerpointing match. They know it either.
