Fr. Simon Lau discusses with us how we might embody the spirit of Mother Mary and say yes to God no matter the trials and tribulations that line our journey. As Catholics, we must strive to be ready to take up the mantles God has provided for us, and follow in His loving light.

The Orang Asli are one of the more marginalized communities in our society today. As such, the Orang Asli Ministry was created to assist and support members of this community in a myriad of ways.

Our guest speaker, Joseph Lopez, sheds light on what the Orang Asli Ministry’s dire needs are and what assistance they require from laypeople to ensure their mission in supporting those beneath their care from day to day. We are called to say a prayer for the Orang Asli community and make a donation to their cause if we are capable of doing so.

Day 31 : How to Fast During Lent? Fr Martin Then. Light of Life : 40 Days Reflection

Fasting is a cornerstone in every Catholic’s Lenten practices. Yet what about those who find fasting difficult, such as children, the elderly, and pregnant women?

Fr. Martin Then brings us through Day 14 of our 40 Day Reflections by teaching us what those who fall into this category can do instead of fasting, and if it is indeed a sin not to fast during Lent. He also invites us to offer up our deed of fasting to those who cannot.

Palm Sunday - a day that marks Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, as prophesied in Zechariah 9:9. The waving of palms represents the joyous welcome that the people of Jerusalem gave to Jesus as he rode into the city on a donkey.

So today, let us join in the celebration of Palm Sunday. Look for palms for each member of the family to bring to Mass, and if you have extra, bring them for someone in church. As we celebrate the beginning of Holy Week, let us remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, and let us rejoice in the hope and promise of eternal life that he offers us. Join us in this beautiful celebration, and experience the joy and peace that come from being part of a loving and faithful community.

Repentance is a powerful act of acknowledging our wrongdoings and seeking forgiveness from God. Lent is a time of repentance, where we are called to examine our conscience and turn back to God.

During Lent, we are called to reflect on our lives and identify areas where we have strayed from God's path. This may include bad habits or behaviors that lead to sin. Through repentance, we can acknowledge these shortcomings and ask God for forgiveness.

So today, let us take a moment to examine our conscience and turn back to God. Spend 30 minutes reflecting on how we can change our bad habits and turn towards God with a new beginning. Through repentance, we can experience a transformation of heart and a renewed sense of purpose. May we all experience the peace and joy that come from being reconciled with God.
