🔆 Why Are Tropical Cyclones Largely Confined to South China Sea, Bay of Bengal & Gulf of Mexico?

📍 Context
Tropical cyclones are intense storms forming over warm oceans in tropical zones, causing heavy rain, violent winds, and storm surges.
They are regionally called:
✅ Hurricanes – Atlantic
✅ Typhoons – North Pacific
✅ Cyclones – Indian Ocean
✅ Willy Willy – Australia

📍 Why These 3 Regions?
✅ Located between 5°–30°N latitude — ideal cyclone belt
✅ Contain warm waters — primary fuel for cyclone formation
✅ Situated near the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) — convergence of NE & SE trade winds
✅ Shallow enclosed bays (e.g., Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mexico) — faster heating
✅ Affected by warm ocean currents from equatorial regions
✅ Coriolis force present — necessary for cyclone spin

📍 Impact & Way Forward
✅ Cyclones cause massive economic loss, displacement, and death
✅ Better forecasting, early warnings, and awareness can help reduce damage
