Northeastโs first visa application centre was inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Thursday.
The new facility will process visa applications for visits to 14 countries, including Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malta (D-visa applications), Morocco, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
It will also help with the processing of Schengen Visas which will allow travelling to 29 European countries part of the Schengen area!!
