Clearly, it was an active year — and through it all the Bavarian Football Works community was there. Sure, the staffers here did the writing for the site and the yacking on the podcast, but it was the great group of people here that made 2023 another fantastic year. Things definitely did not always work out well for Bayern Munich on the pitch and we all had our fair share of disagreements, but the important things was that BFW — as a community — was here to be the sounding board, the counselor, the (sometimes) battleground, and — most importantly — the place where we can all meet up and chat about Bayern Munich. On to 2024 and much more of the good things we had here in 2023 (and hopefully less of the bad!). Kimmich to...Saudi Arabia? There were only talks with the player’s entourage. Danso is likely to stay at Lens until the end of the season. Bayern have contacted Olympique Marseille about Jonathan Clauss, but Marseille don’t want to let him go in the winter. With Eric Dier in house and Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele looking like he could be on his way to Bavaria, Bayern Munich’s backline situation might be solved. Kimmich not going to Saudi Arabia (@RudyGaletti)As expected, those rumors linking Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich to Saudi Arabia do not appear to be a serious issue for the player, nor the club.
