<b>Fiete Arp returns to full training</b>

The young center-forward has not had the easiest go since making the move to Bayern this year. First, Arp <a href="https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2019/9/23/20879494/bayern-munich-fiete-arp-still-gaining-fitness-after-sickness-joshua-zirkzee">had to miss games because he fell ill</a> and then he broke his wrist, which kept him out for months.Arp, who previously played with Arp, who transferred this summer from <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/bundesliga/teams/hamburger-sv-hsv">Hamburger SV</a> in the Bundesliga 2, showed glimpses of talent and promise this preseason when playing with Bayern. He was able to play against some of Europe’s top teams like <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/la-liga/teams/real-madrid">Real Madrid</a>, <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/epl/teams/arsenal">Arsenal</a>, and Tottenham in the International Champions Cup (ICC) and Audi Cup. Arp managed to hold his own and even swapped shirts with one of his heroes <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/epl/players/112133/harry-kane">Harry Kane</a>."I'm a big fan of Harry Kane at Tottenham."

If Lewandowski were to miss games, Hansi Flick may also decide in favor of <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/epl/players/221679/serge-gnabry">Serge Gnabry</a> or <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/bundesliga/players/110278/thomas-muller">Thomas M</a>ü<a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/bundesliga/players/110278/thomas-muller">ller</a> to Arp.After playing extremely well in the U-17 FIFA <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/fifa-womens-world-cup">World Cup</a> Fiete Arp has become considered one of the most promising young center-forwards in <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/fifa/teams/germany">Germany</a> and many are keeping close tabs on his development. Hopefully he will be able to stay healthy, get some game time, and continue improving.<a href="https://www.bavarianfoot…
Fiete Arp likely done for the Hinrunde after new injury
FC Rottach-Egern v FC Bayern Muenchen Photo by TF-Images/Getty ImagesArp’s bad luck followed him right back onto the training pitch. He suffered yet another fracture in his left arm after a fall.Fiete Arp’s season at Bayern Munich has been postponed yet again. Literally in his training comeback after recovering from a broken bone in his left hand that required an operation, Arp fell down hard and suffered a new injury. This time, the diagnosis is a “small bone fragment off the radius in his left forearm” (FC Bayern).Der #FCBayern muss erneut auf Fiete #Arp verzichten. Er hat im Training eine kleine, knöcherne Absprengung der Speiche im linken Unterarm erlitten.

Gute Genesung, Fiete!https://t.co/mZD6fg42au— FC Bayern München (@FCBayern) November 14, 2019Sport1 reports that the club is anticipating a recovery time of three to four weeks. Arp has to wear a cast (again), but this time he fortunately does not require an operation.Bayern’s last game this year takes place on December 21 against Wolfsburg, and Bayern II’s final game, against the Würzburger Kickers, takes place on December 22. If Arp’s recovery drags on even slightly more than anticipated, he could thus be done for the Hinrunde. It’s a fair question whether he’d play at all anyway, since he has virtually been unable to gain any playing momentum this season on account of a nasty sickness followed by his injuries. He has not played at all for the first team and just 69 minutes for Bayern II.Here’s to hoping! We wish Arp another speedy recovery and a happier 2020.Read more...
Fiete Arp left off Bayern Munich’s Champions League roster
FC Bayern Muenchen Doha Training Camp - Day 5Arp’s poor injury luck this season has resulted in his omission from Bayern’s Champions League roster.Fiete Arp has struggled with injuries for the better part of this season and it’s caused him to miss out on opportunities to feature for Bayern Munich’s senior squad. Now, unfortunately for the 20-year old, he also has been left out of Bayern’s Champions League squad for the second half of the season.Bayern next resumes Champions League action at the end of the month when they face Chelsea in the round of 16. Arp’s fellow Bayern U-23 youngsters Sarpeet Singh and Oliver Batista-Meier, however, were both included on the European roster, per Sport1. New signing Alvaro Odriozola was also included in the squad, despite the fact that he has not yet made his first appearance for Bayern.Nächster Rückschlag für #Arp: Er steht nicht im Champions-League-Kader für die Rückrunde. Mit dabei: Singh und Batista Meier. @SPORT1 #FCBayern— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) February 4, 2020Next setback for #Arp: he is not on the Champions League roster for the Rückrunde. Who are: Singh and Batista Meier. At this current juncture, Arp has still made only a total of 2 appearances for Bayern’s reserve team in the 3.Liga. He was, however on the bench for their 1-0 win over Hansa Rostock this past weekend, which is progress for him, even though he was an unused substitute. In Arp’s long term absence, Bayern II manager Sebastian Hoeness has relied predominantly on Kwasi Okyere Wriedt as his main striker and deputized Joshua Zirkzee before he was called up to the first team. Bayern considered potentially loaning out Arp during the winter transfer window, but nothing materialized.Read more...

Liga Photo by Mario Hommes/DeFodi Images via Getty ImagesLeon Dajaku had a busy day offensively in Austria.Bayern Munich II played a 120-minute friendly and picked up a 3-2 victory with Fiete Arp being one of the stars of the contest per FCBayern.com.First, Arp picked up an assist on a goal by Leon Dajaku in the 10th minute. Just 21 minutes later, Tiago Dantas found Dajaku with a terrific pass, which the 19-year-old forward sent over to Arp for a 2-0 Bayern Munich II lead at the 31-minute mark. After FC Liefering fought back to tie the game at 2-2 in the 105th minute, Christopher Scott, who typically played for Bayern Munich’s U-19 squad, delivered the game-winner in the 112th minute. Per Bayern Munich’s website, Scott “dribbled a good 20 meters through the opposing defense and scored with a wonderful shot.”Interestingly, Marc Roca started and played 60 minutes for Bayern Munich II as well today, which was a very curious move. Regardless, Bayern Munich II’s next 3.Liga game will be next Sunday at 1PM (local time) against VfB Lübeck.Testspiel-Sieg für die #FCBAmateure!#Roca von Anfang an, #Dajaku und #Arp treffen, Traumtor von #Scott Alle Infos im Spielbericht!

MSV Duisburg v Bayern München II - 3. LigaPhoto by Mario Hommes/DeFodi Images via Getty ImagesIt will not be easy, but Bayern Munich could fight its way out of a relegation spot.Bayern Munich II is entering a very important phase of season as it fights to stave off relegation.Bayern Munich II has eight wins, 12 draws, and 15 losses and is sitting in 18th place of the table after yesterday’s 2-2 draw with MSV Duisburg. Bayern Munich II has just three games left and is two points away from the safe zone. The young Bavarian squad needs to take care of its own business and hope for a little help as well.“The yield is, of course, not enough for us. After the last few weeks, when we took few points, played bad games, and had some bad luck, we played a really good game (on Tuesday),” said Fiete Arp to Magenta Sport (as captured by Tz).1⃣. Unterhaching (20th place), Munich 1860 (3rd place), and Hallescher (11th place) are the roadblocks on the way to the squad being able to avoid relegation.“In this phase of the season, it doesn’t matter who we play against. Whether at home or away, whether it’s tactics — no one cares any more,” Arp said, who scored the game-tying goal against Duisburg. “It’s just about taking the points with you somehow. It’s about pulling ourselves together, getting our bums on the pitch and winning the games.”

Bayern München II v SpVgg Unterhaching - 3. LigaPhoto by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty ImagesHopefully Fiete Arp can rediscover the form that made him such a desired prospect.Per an announcement from FCBayern.com, Bayern Munich prospect Fiete Arp will leave the club on a one-year loan assignment. Arp, still just 21-years-old, will head to Holstein Kiel for the 2021/2022 season, where he will attempt to rediscover the form that made him such a sought-after prospect in Germany just two years ago:FC Bayern has loaned striker Fiete Arp, 21, to second-division club Holstein Kiel for one year. “After discussions with Fiete and his management, we have decided to loan Fiete to Holstein Kiel for one season,” explained FC Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić. “Fiete has, unfortunately, not been able to show what he is capable of at FC Bayern so far, due in part to two lengthy injuries that cost him preseason in both his first and second year. At Kiel he has the chance for a change of air and we hope that he can develop his qualities anew. I would like to thank Holstein Kiel for the good exchange.”After a sensational start to his tenure during the 2019/2020 preseason, Arp suffered two long-term injuries and an illness that wrecked his campaign as he missed 22 games and 100 days.During 2020/2021, Arp’s form dipped as the team’s did. With a dysfunctional offense, a constantly revolving cast of characters, and a lame duck coach, the entire Bayern Munich II side was inconsistent at best. Before the start of last season, Arp met with then-senior team manager Hansi Flick and they mutually decided for the player to spend the whole season with Bayern Munich II rather than being a swing player and taking rotations on the first-team. That decision probably was ill-advised for the player, whose confidence and form subsequently suffered.Holstein Kiel wasted no time in getting the announcement out:Moin, Fiete!
