Süle, though, is anything but that.Kevin Hatchard was there to dispel any of those notions:If anyone looks at Niklas Süle and writes him off as being slow, they’re getting it demonstrably wrong. He posted top speed of 33.7 km/h in the first half of the season, making him the sixth-quickest player in the Bayern squad. Strong, quick, technically sound. FC Bayern München v 1. FC Union Berlin - Bundesliga Photo by Marcel Engelbrecht - firo sportphoto/Getty Images Bayern Munich is on break...now, what? Bayern worried about Tel’s progress (Sport Bild’s Tobi Altschäffl via @iMiaSanMia)Rumors of Bayern Munich’s interest in a post-Harry Kane plan for striker have been swirling for about a week, but the genesis of the rumors is — allegedly — that the club is not feeling great about the development of Mathys Tel: One of the reasons Bayern are already exploring the market for a long-term Harry Kane successor is that the development of Mathys Tel has stalled. That’s why a loan move for Tel in January is a realistic option. The primary issue with Tel is that it is hard to figure out if he best fits as a striker, a winger, or something in-between, like a wide-forward. In reality, his best position might be as a part of a two-striker system, but it would seem doubtful that Bayern Munich would shift to that kind of alignment any time soon. So...then what? It seems like both parties are open to Tel going out on loan, which would serve two purposes: It would give Tel the necessary game time to continue his development. It would buy the Bavarians some time to figure out how they really feel about Tel and what position they see him playing in the long-term. Clearly, Tel is part of the mix for consideration for what happens after Kane, but he is just a small piece of that puzzle. Bischof’s future with Hoffenheim uncertain (@Plettigoal)At one point, Tom Bischof was one of the most heralded, young talents in all of Germany. Even Bayern Munich was kicking the tires on what it might take to get him. While not a bust by any means, Bischof’s development progress has slowed a bit and with Hoffenheim under-performing regularly, it might be the time for him to look to move on: The future of Tom #Bischof at TSG Hoffenheim remains uncertain, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich has made a formal offer to Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof. While earlier reports indicate that Eintracht Frankfurt could now be in the lead, Bayern Munich looks like it will do its best to convince Bischof of its plan for him: FC Bayern have made Tom #Bischof a written offer with a long-term contract!Eintracht Frankfurt also want the 19y/o, offering him a top contract until 2030. #SGEDiscussions with various clubs are ongoing. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim v Sport-Club Freiburg - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Bundesliga/Bundesliga Collection via Getty Images This is utterly diabolical timing from the management. I love it. After Bayern Munich completed a 5-0 Bundesliga thumping of TSG Hoffenheim in the Allianz Arena, they weren’t quite done ruining Hoffenheim fans’ evening.Mere seconds after the full-time whistle blew in Munich, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports DE made a simple statement. “Tom Bischof will join FC Bayern!”The young German midfielder is one of the league’s brightest players already at the age of 19, and after quite a few weeks of intense rumours, it’s now confirmed that Bischof will be joining Bayern at the end of his contract in the summer on a free transfer, and it’s been made clear that Bischof is not going to be loaned out once he is signed, signalling that he will immediately become a part of the midfield unit.
