Sanyang is expected to help bolster the Bayern Munich U-19 squad, which will likely see some roster turnover as players are promoted or depart. In what can be described as yet another move to create organizational depth, the Bavarians see Sanyang as an impact player at the U-19 level according to campus manager Jochen Sauer.“Mamin is an extremely fast and dangerous outside player,” Sauer said. “We see it as an ideal reinforcement for our U-19 team and are very happy that he will wear the Bayern jersey in the future.”#FCBayernCampus-Leiter #Sauer: „Mamin ist ein pfeilschneller und torgefährlicher Außenbahnspieler. Bayern Munich shuffle youth coaches following Miroslav Klose’s promotion
Bayern Muenchen U19 v Tottenham Hotspur U19 - UEFA Youth League Photo by TF-Images/Getty ImagesMartin Demichelis remains with the U-19s, while Danny Schwarz takes over the U-17s.Back in May, Bayern Munich announced that they had re-signed Miroslav Klose to an improved coaching contract. With the new deal, he would be moving from the being the club’s U-17 head coach straight into being Hansi Flick’s assistant with the first team. The move, however, left a big hole at a crucial development stage for Bayern, so the quest began for who would take over the U-17s?The club has decided that the best option is an internal candidate. Danny Schwarz will be the new head coach of the U-17s. He will be assisted by Stefan Meißner who is making the move to Munich after spending ten years in the youth teams at FC Kaiserslautern.Schwarz spent the last season as co-head coach of Bayern’s U-19 side with Martin Demichelis. The former Bayern centerback will remain the head coach of the U-19s with Stefan Buck as his assistant.VfB Stuttgart v 1. FSV Mainz 05 - Bundesliga Photo by TF-Images/TF-Images via Getty ImagesIn a far less expected move, Bayern also announced the signing of Halil Altintop to be the top assistant to Alexander Moj with the club’s U-16 side. Altintop was appointed the head coach of TSV Schwaben Augsburg in the Bayernliga last September but will leave that post for this new opportunity with Bayern. Halil’s identical twin brother Hamit played for Bayern from 2007 to 2011.There were also some promotions from even younger teams. Maximilian Kauer moves from Bayern’s U-14 team to the U-15 team following Peter Wenninger’s retirement to focus solely on his role as the Sporting Director of the club’s U-9 to U-15 sides. Raphael Sonnweber takes over the U-14 side after a season in charge of the U-13 team, and Philipp Deppner making the same transition from the U-10s to the U-13s.#FCBU19 Martín Demichelis & Stefan Buck

Since Barcelona, Benfica, and Dynamo Kyiv are all participating in the Youth League this season, that’s who Bayern will face since they were drawn in the same Champions League group.U-19 head coach Danny Galm said the following about the draw:“With Barcelona, Lisbon and Kiev, we have three very attractive opponents. It’s a very interesting competition. It will be extremely exciting to compete against FC Barcelona from La Masia. With Benfica we meet a club that is a top address in youth football and where more attractive football is played year after year. And Dynamo Kiev also proves that they train strong talents again and again. There are three great opponents.”

Der 17-Jährige war 2017 von Nürnberg an den Campus gekommen und gehörte zuletzt zum Kader der #FCBU19.

Alle Infos https://t.co/yb5pxvwqa3#MiaSanMia pic.twitter.com/UzVZJCweS5— FC Bayern Campus (@fcbayerncampus) February 17, 2022Marcel #Wenig changes from @FCBayern to Eintracht Frankfurt after the season. The 17-year-old came to the campus from Nuremberg in 2017 and was part of the #FCBU19 squad.Bayern Munich midfield prospect Marcel Wenig could be on his way to Eintracht Frankfurt.According to a report from Sport1, both Die Adler and Borussia Dortmund were linked to the talented 17-year-old, who has played six games as an attacking midfielders, four games a a central midfielder, and one game as a defensive midfielder for the Bayern Munich U-19 squad so far this season. With his contract set to expire in June, it appears Wenig is ready to move on and avoid all of the organizational roadblocks ahead of him.Wenig’s plan is to assert himself at the top! Eintracht prevailed against other Bundesliga teams in the race for FC Bayern’s talent, and Borussia Dortmund was also close to him.As SPORT1 knows, there is already an agreement between the club and the player. Wenig fits exactly into the scheme of Frankfurt, where he wants to make his breakthrough as a Bundesliga professional. The planned reintroduction of the second team also plays into the hands of the Hessians. That part is key for Wenig. The youngster will be able to jump right int Eintracht Frankfurt II, when it reforms this summer. Still, it seems the chance for an opportunity outweighed the tradition of Bayern Munich:Eintracht Frankfurt has lost a lot of talent in the past because there was no reserve. This is to be brought back to life for the 2022/23 season. Wenig can therefore mainly train with the first team and slowly mature. If there are initial difficulties or an intermediate low, the Hessians can offer match practice in a second team in this case.If you were wondering about the accuracy of the report, well, Fabrizio Romano jumped in with this as well:Bayern talented midfielder Marcel Wenig will not extend the contract and he’s gonna leave the club as free agent - he’s prepared for Bundesliga first team chance next season. #FCBayern

Now, though, the Germany international says he is ready to return to his normal spot in Julian Nagelsmann’s starting XI.While Goretzka thought he was ready to go against Inter Milan, but was talked down by the coaching staff, who want to bring him along more slowly. Now, though, the 27-year-old wants to start against VfB Stuttgart.“It was explained to me in an understandable way. I think after 8-9 minutes against Union, the leap to the starting XI would’ve been too big. But now I got more minutes and training sessions and I’m ready to start,” Goretzka said. This situation is going to be very difficult for Nagelsmann to deal with. The club has invested heavily in Goretzka with his contract and his leadership role on the squad, but Marcel Sabitzer has been outstanding in filling in for the German.Joshua Kimmich is a madman and seems unlikely to accept a day off and any time soon, so Nagelsmann will probably have to make a choice between Goretzka and Sabitzer this weekend — and maybe going forward. FC Ingolstadt 04 - SpVgg Unterhaching Photo by Armin Weigel/picture alliance via Getty Images One last attempt to save the club from relegation Back in December of 2024, Bayern Munich officially announced the partnership struck up between them and SpVgg Unterhaching. One of the many facets of the partnership was the ability for up to 3 Bayern players to join the 3. Liga side on loan and gain experience at a higher level than the FC Bayern Campus could allow. In Gibson Nana Adu and Maximilian Hennig, two Bayern players are on loan. But now a third has joined, via the FC Bayern Campus’ official twitter account:Good luck in Unterhaching, Jason! #FCBU19 Striker Jason #Eckl will be loaned until the end of the season.Striker Jason Eckl has had a difficult season with the U-19s, struggling to establish himself as the main striker. The decision to see him jump to the 3. Liga is therefore certainly a gamble, though he does still have the talent to succeed. Still, how good of a place of development is Unterhaching at the moment? Sitting rock bottom of the 3. Liga, 7 points from safety and facing major managerial upheaval, it is a pretty safe bet that Bayern’s partners will drop back down to the Regionalliga next season. Hopefully, none of this turmoil will prevent Bayern’s youngsters from developing. Is Bayern Munich setting the bar too low for itself with some of the decisions that it is making? Where does Bayern need to to improve the roster now...and in the future? Should the club just stay quiet about Joshua Kimmich’s contract situation? We think so!
