Sergio Ramos gets brutally trolled for wearing ridiculous matching blue outfit
It wasn’t just the Real Madrid players who featured in their humiliating home defeat to Villarreal that left the Bernabeu with their tail between their legs on Saturday afternoon.Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who missed the La Liga clash through injury, was also left red faced after being trolled on Twitter for donning a ridiculous blue outfit.Ramos took to Instagram to post a picture of himself wearing matching blue shoes, coat, polo top and hat inside an executive box ahead of the match.Sergio Ramos got trolled for donning a blue outfit as he watched Real Madrid lose to VillarrealBut his outfit didn’t go down too well and sparked photoshoppers and meme makers into immediate action with the Spain international at the brunt of the joke.He was photoshopped behind the desk in a hardware store, with a Batman logo on his jumper and working for Dominoes Pizza among many others. The 31-year-old would certainly not have been impressed, and equally so by what he was witnessing on the pitch. The Madrid captain was ruled out of Saturday's clash after picking up an injury in trainingThe defender was ruled out of Saturday’s tie after sustaining a calf muscle injury during a training session earlier on in the week. And so he was powerless as he watched Madrid slump to a second successive La Liga defeat at the Bernabeu. The loss to Villarreal leaves Madrid 16 points behind rivals and league leaders Barcelona but manager Zinedine Zidane refused to place blame on his players after the result. He said: ‘It is hard to explain. We tried everything. We had clear chances, but the ball would not go in. There is no explanation.‘This is a bad run that won’t stop and it is not good for my players. I can’t criticise them. This is simply a bad moment and a tough defeat to take on board because we didn’t deserve that.’😂😂😂 @SergioRamos #Zidane #RealMadrid http://pic.twitter.com/eyqOTfyZe2— Óscar Pino (@Pinosrz) January 13, 2018Jamás hubiese pensado que crearía tendencia con mi antiguo “look” de soldador! 👨🏼‍🔧@SergioRamos! Despite the increasing unrest at <a href="https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com">Bayern Munich</a> on the heels of three straight losses across all competition, the message from the club’s board and hierarchy has remained the same; they still want to stick with Thomas Tuchel as manager. There has been an unofficial call for him to be removed from his post from large portions of Bayern fans, as the club is eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table, already out of the DFB-Pokal, and 1-0 down on aggregate to Lazio after the first leg of the <a href="https://www.sbnation.com/champions-league">Champions League</a> round of 16.Per Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport (via <a href="https://www.football-espana.net/2024/02/18/zinedine-zidane-replace-thomas-tuchel-bayern-munich">Football Espana</a><em>), </em>Zinedine Zidane has been pegged as a frontrunner to replace Tuchel should the club decide to relieve him of his duties either before the end of this season, or this summer. The French legend has been out of a job ever since 2021, when he stepped down from his post as <a href="https://www.managingmadrid.com">Real Madrid</a> manager after a trophyless 2020/21 season. He collected three Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, two FIFA Club World Cup titles, two UEFA Supercups, and two Spanish Supercups during his time as Real Madrid manager, matching what was a well-decorated playing career when he played for them.<a href="https://x.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1759646244387930263?s=20">Tz reporters Manu Bonke, Philipp Kessler, and Vinzent Tschirpke</a> have denied the validity of the Corriere Dello Sport report, but Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg also released a tweet detailing Bayern Munich’s level of interest in Zidane: News <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Zidane?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Zidane</a>: FC Bayern wants to continue with <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Tuchel?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Tuchel</a> at least until the end of the season - as always reported!

Zidane would also be available immediately! @SkySportDEIt is no secret that Zidane has been in high demand since he has been out of a job. The United States Men’s National team approached him about becoming their manager after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but he declined that offer in early 2023. He also had ambitions of becoming the French national team manager, but the French federation gave Didier Deschamps a four-year contract extension last year, meaning he will remain manager through the 2026 World Cup for last year’s World Cup finalists and the 2018 winners.<a href="https://www.blackwhitereadallover.com">Juventus</a> and Paris Saint-Germain have also inquired about Zidane managing at either club, but nothing concrete at this stage has taken place for either club. His top choice would be the French national team, but that is not currently an option, so Bayern…

“Adesso Vinco Io - Marcello Lippi” Photocall Photo by Franco Origlia/Getty Images Is Bayern Munich in or out on Zinedine Zidane? According to a report from Spanish journalist José Félix Díaz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich might be thinking about having a conversation with former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane regarding the head coaching position in Bavaria: Bayern have contacted Zinédine Zidane’s entourage in recent days to express their interest and find out about his willingness to return to coaching. However, Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg does not think Zidane is an option...at least not yet: New rumors about FC Bayern and Zinédine #Zidane are wide of mark! ➡️ Been told there is no truth in reports that Bayern have contacted Zidane’s entourage in recent days. Zidane was discussed as a potential replacement when there were talks of Tuchel’s premature dismissal weeks ago. Now, Bayern are focused on #Nagelsmann as reported. De Zerbi remains on the list as well.Fabrizio Romano backed up Plettenberg’s information on the situation in his work for CaughtOffside (as captured by @iMiaSanMia): ‘Zinedine Zidane – Linked again with the Bayern job, but I’m not aware of something advanced involving Zidane at this stageBayern have considered many managers during the last months, top coaches like Zidane and Conte are free so it’s normal to discuss internally, but I’m still told that Julian Nagelsmann is the favourite candidate with Ralf Rangnick and Roberto de Zerbi still on the shortlist, based on what’s going to happen with Nagelsmann’It does seem as is Julian Nagelsmann is the No. 1 candidate, but anything after the German national team boss is up in the air? Could the Spanish media have the jump on the Germans for this story? It is doubtful, but you never know...Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s big draw with Arsenal FC in the Champions League, the iffy futures of Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, and Dayot Upamecano, and some admiration for the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm? Borussia Dortmund v FC Bayern Muenchen - Bundesliga Photo by Martin Meissner - Pool/Getty Images Paging Lucien Favre Bandwagon Driver. Bayern Munich’s next coach is still not dialed in. With top candidate Julian Nagelsmann extending with Germany and former coach Hansi Flick still not in the bag, the Bavarians are widening their search to include even former coaches from their apparent rivals:❗️Update Trainersuche beim #fcbayern: Mit Blick auf eine mögliche Übergangslösung fiel zuletzt auch der Name Lucien #Favre, mit dem Max #Eberl in Mönchengladbach rund vier Jahre zusammengearbeitet hat. Roberto #deZerbi and Zinedine #Zidane are no longer a hot topic ⚪️Favre’s name pops up due to his connection with Max Eberl at Borussia Mönchengladbach in the mid-2010s. The Swiss tactician also managed Borussia Dortmund and very nearly drove Bayern out of first place in 2018/19. He most recently managed Nice in Ligue 1.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of the aftershocks of Bayern Munich’s big win over Arsenal FC, plus a breakdown of what might happen this summer at the wing position in Bavaria? 1. FC Union Berlin v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Maja Hitij/Getty Images Who needs a coach, anyway? Reports that Bayern Munich was exploring the option of former Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre turned heads. Now, kicker journalist Georg Holzner has shed more light on why that may be the case.In something that has been speculated given the availability of some top candidates, Bayern Munich could be looking at a short-term solution for its coaching situation: ❗️Update Trainersuche beim #fcbayern: Mit Blick auf eine mögliche Übergangslösung fiel zuletzt auch der Name Lucien #Favre, mit dem Max #Eberl in Mönchengladbach rund vier Jahre zusammengearbeitet hat. Roberto #deZerbi and Zinedine #Zidane are no longer a hot topic ⚪️Could the Bavarians be looking only for a temporary replacement for Thomas Tuchel? The club has gone so far with a head coach with an expiry date, so what’s another year?BFW AnalysisSome day this club will be in better shape, but this is a right mess.Bayern is learning the very, very hard way that the grass is not always greener. It is the culmination of events set in motion by the sacking of Julian Nagelsmann — ripping up a project before it had a chance to bloom. No problem if the next guy comes in and saves everything, but Tuchel didn’t duplicate his Chelsea FC act and win the Champions League. Instead, he let things get so bad he got an immediate boot, at a time with slim pickings on the market. Now the club has brought in two new execs poised to make a decision they don’t seem to really want (even if it is a less “interim” option), for a coach who might only be keeping the seat warm for Xabi Alonso or Jürgen Klopp, and if results go further south it is not likely to recommend Max Eberl or Christoph Freund for longer stays, either.Bayern is too well-run financially to stay down for long, but will any of these names still be around when the Bavarians are back on steady ground? In the meantime, the final years of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, maybe even Harry Kane twist in the wind.

Germany v Japan - International Friendly Photo by Marvin Ibo Guengoer - GES Sportfoto/Getty Images Back to the grill again... Who needs a coach anyway? On the first unofficial day of Bayern Munich being coach-less (Tuchel’s contract runs until the end of June), let’s dig into the latest rumors on the street...err, on the internet. #FlickAroundAndfindOut is back? Maybe? According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is still waffling on what to do with its coaching position — but Hansi Flick could be back in play as a candidate:Bayern will now have new internal talks to discuss who can be the best candidate to replace Tuchel, whether to go for a young coach or - the most credible option - to go for an experienced coach. There are still people at the club who appreciate Hansi Flick a lot as a potential solution. At this stage, who needs this reunion more, Bayern Munich or Flick?Flick has also been loosely linked to FC Barcelona for what it is worth. Bayern, Ajax competing for Ten Hag?According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich and AFC Ajax are engaged in a battle for Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag: Erik ten Hag is reportedly being pursued by Bayern Munich and Ajax, with his future at Old Trafford yet to be confirmed.Manchester United conclude their worst ever Premier League season with a trip to Brighton on Sunday, though could salvage a trophy if they pull off an upset against Man City in the FA Cup final next week. Bayern Munich are on the hunt for a new manager after Thomas Tuchel confirmed he would leave the club.Zidane still on the outside looking inAccording to a report from Sport Bild journalists Tobi Altschäffl and David Verhoff, Zinedine Zidane is still not a serious candidate for Bayern Munich: Zinédine Zidane is still not an option for Bayern. The club is still unwilling to appoint the Frenchman even after all recent rejections. No talks have taken place.Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg backed up that report as well: ⤵️ Nothing has changed about that: #Zidane is not a topic at Bayern! @SkySportDE https://t.co/VF1S8teidm— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) May 19, 2024Sport Bild’s Christian Falk also had his own report: FC Bayern still searching for a successor of Thomas Tuchel
❌ Zinedine Zidane is not currently one of the candidates Bayern are talking to— Christian Falk (@cfbayern) May 19, 2024The language barrier for Zidane (he does not speak English or German) seems to be a major hold up.
