You give tips when necessary, because you’ve got the experience in that position. But at the end of the day you have to work things out for yourself. You need to gain experience, work hard, never be satisfied and always try to improve and perform for the team. I hope they’ll be successful.I hope from the bottom of my heart they do, but it’s down to the them. They have a long journey ahead of them, but they have plenty of talent. When you speak about our positions with Serge and King [Coman], they’re two very good players. They want to improve, they want to prove themselves and they work hard. They’ve got great character, too. That pleases me. Bayern Munich offers Claudio Pizarro brand ambassador role upon retirement
SV Werder Bremen v 1. FC Nuernberg - Bundesliga BREMEN, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 16: Claudio Pizarro of Werder Bremen looks on during the Bundesliga match between SV Werder Bremen and 1. FC Nuernberg at Weserstadion on September 16, 2018 in Bremen, Germany. This would be exciting if Claudio does eventually accept the offer. Claudio Pizarro is a man who needs no introduction. The former Bayern Munich striker currently carries out his duties with Werder Bremen, who Bayern are about to play twice in the space of four days. Though he’ll be trying to foil Bayern’s push for the domestic double, he could be making a return to Munich after he retires and hangs up his boots for good.Per a report by Mein Werder, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already offered Pizarro a position as a brand ambassador for the club after he retires. His current contract with Bremen runs through the end of June, but he admitted that he very well could still have one more season under his belt because he “feels good” right now. Speaking about the offer, Rummeigge said:We have agreed with Claudio, if he really does stop his career, whenever that will be, that he can then return to Munich and take on an ambassador role with us. As far as I know, he still has a house in Munich and his family always felt very at home here.Currently, Bixente Lizarazu and Giovanni Elber are brand ambassadors for Bayern, and Hasan Salihamidzic also served as one before he took his position as sporting director. A big part of their job is to represent the club and the brand at publicity events across the globe, which Pizarro fits the billing for perfectly as such a lovable figure in Munich. In typical Pizarro fashion, after a brief chuckle he did say that he’s fully focused on thwarting Bayern in the two upcoming matches before he even thinks about accepting a brand ambassador role:It would be an amazing feeling for me to win these games, though I would feel Bayern’s pain a bit. In case you missed the history Pizarro made earlier this season: 40 years & 136 days.
Oldest goalscorer in Bundesliga history.
First player to score in the Bundesliga in 21 different calendar years.

Age is just a number for Claudio Pizarro! #werder pic.twitter.com/3huUtdc6go— DW Sports (@dw_sports) February 17, 2019It seems that this is more of a rhetorical question, but would you all like to see this beaming smile back in Bavaria after he retires from playing? SV Werder Bremen Training SessionPhoto by Roland Krivec/DeFodi Images via Getty ImagesThe youngster is earning himself a good reputation at Bayern Munich.Former Bayern Munich prospect Marco Friedl was caught up in a numbers game along the backline while with the Rekordmeister.Eventually, the Austrian took a loan to Werder Bremen, which would later end up being a permanent move. Now, the 24-year-old has matured and progressed to the point where he has been named the club’s captain:SV Werder Bremen has a new captain! Marco Friedl will lead the Green-Whites onto the field in the Bundesliga with immediate effect.“I’m very happy about the confidence of the boys. It is a great responsibility for me as the captain to represent this club on and off the pitch,” Friedl said of his appointment (per Werder.de).For Werder Bremen manager Ole Werner, Friedl represents many of the good traits he sees in his squad.“I think we have a team council that reflects the different characters of the team and where every player has a contact person. Together they will take responsibility and lead the team as a group. Marco has been chosen as captain. It’s certainly an expression of the confidence the players have in him. It’s definitely a new role for him, which I’m sure he’ll do well,” Werner remarked.Known mostly as a left-back during his time at Bayern Munich, Friedl played 22 of 28 games for Werder Bremen as a center-back last season per Transfermarkt.️ on taking over as captain:

"Of course I am young. But, already last year, I tried to take responsibility and to lead from the front. Now the team has chosen me and I will continue to do so, in constant communication with the team council."#werder pic.twitter.com/boNHpU4nuj— SV Werder Bremen EN (@werderbremen_en) July 29, 2022

FC Bayern Munich Training Session Photo by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty Images Could the Premier League upstarts swoop in and borrow a big talent currently not featuring at a richer club? Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel is struggling for minutes this season under Vincent Kompany, and that has not gone unnoticed around clubs in Europe hungry to add a dynamic attacker to their ranks.Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg reported on Monday that Premier League side Nottingham Forest, as well as Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, are monitoring Tel’s situation in Bavaria: Excl | #Forest are interested in FC Bayern’s Mathys #Tel and have already made contact ✔️However, the 19y/o winger currently still has no plans to leave Bayern on loan this winter. #Werder Bremen also have him on their radar, should Tel change his mind and signal a willingness to go out on loan, as was revealed last week.@SkySportDE Tel has appeared in just four of Bayern’s nine Bundesliga matches this season for a total of 114 minutes (via fbref). While the 19-year-old looks determined to make his breakthrough in Munich, his lack of playing time — and Bayern’s crowded attacking ranks, which currently boast Harry Kane up front and the likes of Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané and Michael Olise on the wings — could change the outlook by the January transfer window.Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s upcoming Champions League match with Benfica, along with a reaction to Bayern Munich drawing Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal?
