𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐔) conducted a 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 through its 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥 across 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 at 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐮, 𝐁𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐫, 𝐃𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐧, 𝐌𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐢, 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐮𝐫 and 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐞 from 10 to 13 February 2026, creating large-scale job opportunities for IGNOU learners and alumni. Over 𝟕𝟎 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 from 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐚, 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐚, and 𝐔𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 secured placements with leading FinTech, IT, and BPO companies across multiple profiles offering attractive salary packages and incentives. 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 through on-site and virtual interviews, with large outreach campaigns and active industry interaction. Recruiters conducted direct HR rounds and shortlisted candidates across multiple job roles.



𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐔𝐦𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐥 appreciated the efforts of Campus Placement Cell, Regional Centres, and participating industry partners, noting that such Pan-India drives strengthen employability, expand career access, and advance IGNOU’s mission of inclusive, career-oriented education. The drives reflect IGNOU’s continued push to expand industry linkages and create structured employment pathways for learners nationwide.

A new chapter in educational empowerment begins in the tribal heartland of Odisha



The Foundation Stone of the IGNOU Regional Centre at Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj, Odisha was laid by Hon'ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 20th June 2026.



The occasion was graced by the august presence of Hon'ble Governor of Odisha Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon'ble Dy. Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Hon'ble Dy. Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida, and Hon’ble MP Shri Naba Charan Majhi among other senior officials of Central Govt. and State Govt.



The new Regional Centre will strengthen IGNOU's outreach and enhance access to quality higher education, skill development, and lifelong learning opportunities for the learners of Rairangpur in particular and the region in general.
