The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched its ๐๐ง๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐๐) to facilitate the online submission of project reports, dissertations, internship reports, field work and other prescribed academic assignments.
The system was formally launched by ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฅ, ๐๐จ๐งโ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ, ๐๐๐๐๐, marking another step towards strengthening the Universityโs digital academic services and streamlining student evaluation processes.
Developed by the ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐), ๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐-๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, OPMS provides a structured digital platform for academic submissions. Integrated with the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฅ, it allows learners to access the submission facility using their existing student login credentials.
The system incorporates features to safeguard the integrity of submitted documents, including the automatic insertion of relevant student and submission details on each page of the uploaded report.
The launch programme commenced with a welcome address by ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐, ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ซ, Student Evaluation Division, IGNOU, followed by the Vice Chancellorโs address.๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐, Additional Director, SED, IGNOU, demonstrated the student submission module. Representatives of ๐๐๐๐๐-๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ also highlighted the importance of technological collaboration in advancing digital solutions for higher education.
