Wayfarer is adding edits to the contribution page!
After announcing this 2 years ago, Niantic will finally list all of your submitted edits to the contribution page on Wayfarer. With this feature you will be able to see every title, description, location edit as well as every submitted picture with their current status. You will be able to upgrade these edits just like with new Wayspot submissions and, should they be denied, appeal to Niantic.
Niantic is also changing the number of available appeals to 2 in 20 days. These can be used for both new submissions and edits.
With the introduction of this feature, Niantic will phase out edit appeals via the Help Chat on May 15th.
Going forward, the only way to appeal a rejected edit will be through the management page.
This feature is expected to be online later today.

Niantic released Ingress Prime v2.141.1 to the App Store and Play Store!
In the changelog for this new version, the introduction of icons for the Attack, Inventory and COMM swipe gestures is mentioned, although we were not able to find any difference in these icons comparing this new update and the previous one.
Bugfixes for this update involve the retry logic for purchases in the in-app store, the new Beacon Icon in Kinetic Capsules and the display of long titles in the News Feed list.
The update is on rollout, so it might be a little while before it reaches your device.

This time the focus of this challenge are edits! Wayfinders will need to work together to resolve as many outstanding edits as possible to reach a global goal for rewards as well as to reach personal goals for personal rewards. The rewards themselves are not known yet and, although likely, the presence of an OPR Live badge tick among personal rewards has not been confirmed yet.
The countries that will be visited are Japan, USA and Germany which have the biggest backlogs of edits at the moment. While you'll still recieve normal nominations to review you'll see a higher number of edits than normal during the challenge.

A new episode of the Ingress Report has been released! Alicia Moyer was convinced to continue her cooperation with NotNianticLabs on new episodes after the overwhelmingly positive response for the first episode, posted at the start of April.
This episodes main topic is the Buried Memories series up until now and recaps the global operation as well as the two Shard Skirmishes that have concluded already. Other news can also be found, and we believe we can hear a familiar voice at the end of the episode...
