Fatwa no. 21778
Q: The habit of lightening eyebrows has recently spread among women; they lighten the hairs below and above the eyebrow, so that it resembles Nams (removing hair from the face/eyebrows). This habit is an imitation of Western countries. The lightening substance is also medically harmful. What is the ruling of Shari
ah (Islamic law) on this deed? Please advise. May Allah reward you! It is worth mentioning that most women request a written Fatwa (legal opinion issued by a qualified Muslim scholar), and refuse to abide by verbal ones. May Allah make us benefit from it and preserve the religion of this Ummah (nation based on one creed). Indeed, He is the One able to do so.
Ans:
It is not permissible to lighten above and below the eyebrows in the way that was mentioned, as it entails changing Allah’s creation and resembles Nams which is prohibited, being in the same sense. It is even more prohibited if it entails imitation of non-Muslims, or if it is harmful to the body or hair. This is because Allah (Exalted be He) says: …and do not throw yourselves into destruction The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

Marriage becomes dangerous when couples start keeping score.
“I did this.”
“You never do that.”
“I sacrificed more.”
A healthy marriage is not a competition.
The goal is not to beat each other.
The goal is to beat life’s challenges together.
Be a team.

Fāṭimah رضي الله عنها was so modest that when she became ill and her death was near, she said to Asmā’ رضي الله عنها:
“When the time comes for my janāzah, do it at night so that no one can see my figure. And when you bury me, bury me at night so they cannot see my figure.”
This is one of the greatest women to ever walk the earth. She is from Ahlul-Bayt, from the people of Jannah—rather, she is the leader of the women of Jannah.
The Modesty of Fāṭimah رضي الله عنها vs. the Women of Today… Allāhu’l-Mustaʿān.
Umm Jaʿfar bint Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar reported that Fāṭimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, said:
“O Asmā’, I am repulsed by what is done to women when they die—how they merely place a cloth over the body that still shows the shape.”
Asmā’ replied, “O daughter of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, shall I not show you something I saw done in Abyssinia?”
She then brought some palm branches of clover, bent them, and covered them with a cloth.
When Fāṭimah saw it, she exclaimed:
“How lovely and beautiful! This distinguishes the woman from the man and does not reveal the body shape. When I die, I want you and ʿAlī to wash me. Do not allow anyone else to enter.”
[Reported by Abū Nuʿaym in al-Ḥilyah and al-Bayhaqī.]
Just look at the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ—how she hated and found it shameful that even in death, the cloth might reveal the shape of a woman’s body.
So what about the women of today—who expose themselves in tight clothing while alive? Is that not far worse?
Let the Muslim women of today reflect. So many go out in clothes that reveal their breasts, their waist, their buttocks, their legs, and every curve of the body. Then let them seek forgiveness from Allāh تعالى and repent sincerely.

CAN A WOMEN WEAR MAKEUP OUTSIDE HER HOUSE?
Question: “Is it allowed for the woman to put on make-up if she leaves her house wearing the hijaab?”
Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah) answers:
“It is not permissible for the woman who does not wear hijaab, let alone who wears hijaab, to use the makeup of the disbeliever, the make-up of the rebellious and disobedient (to Allaah). When were you aware of some women’s adornment called by a name for which Allaah did not send down an authority: ‘make-up’? This is a word that we don’t know, not us nor your forefathers from before. Rather, it is a foreign word expressing an adornment for the rebellious and disobedient women of Europe; and our women – except those of them whom Allaah protects – unfortunately imitate decorating themselves with this adornment which the Islamic society is being affected by, namely make-up. So it is not permissible for the woman. And this reality is one of the strange ironies: in the road we see a woman wearing a decent hijaab (but) I don’t say the Islamically legislated hijaab; she ties what they call the ‘ishaarb’ – or khimaar which is the (correct) Arabic word – covering her hair, her neck and so on, but she has face powder and lipstick on. This (wearing the hijaab) is against this (wearing make-up): two contradictory, conflicting matters that do not go together. What is the reason (for this type of occurrence)? It is one of two things: either ignorance and heedlessness of the Islamically legislated ruling or it is due to the women’s following of the temptations of shaytaan.
Therefore, we firstly remind the women who suffer from this make-up. Then secondly, we remind the guardians of women such as a father or a husband or a brother, due to the fact that (the Prophet) (‘alayhi ssalaat wa ssalaam) said: ‘Everyone of you is a shepherd and everyone of you is responsible for his flock. So the man is a shepherd and he is responsible for his flock-’[1] to the end of the hadeeth. Thus, the Arabic or general proverb states: ‘The horse is from the horseman.’ So you, the husband of the woman, it is not permissible for you to allow her to go out in this manner which puts to trial the middle-aged men, let alone the young men! And you, O man, O father, O brother, are supposed to be very jealous. Why? Because the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) used to say: ‘A duyyooth will not enter Paradise.’[2] Why? Who is a duyyooth? He is the one who does not guard his womenfolk jealously.”

Polygyny
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
Polygyny in this time is more needed than in previous times, due to the large number of women, the abundance of fitan, and women’s need for someone to preserve their chastity.
Many scholars held the view that polygyny is better than remaining with only one wife.

The Marriage with the Greatest Blessing is that with Lesser Financial Burden
Question:
What is your opinion of the large dowers and expensive parties and honeymoons that cost a great deal of money? Does the Shariah approve of such things?
Answer:
Having very expensive dowers and extravagant wedding parties is something that goes against the Shariah. The marriage which has the greatest blessing is the one with lesser financial burden. Any time the burdens are lessened, the blessings are increased.
This is a matter that is many times caused by women. Women are the ones that often insist upon their husbands to set very high dower [for their daughter]. If a lesser dower is offered, they will say their daughter is deserving of such and such. Furthermore, expensive and luxurious wedding parties are prohibited by the Shariah. They fall under the command of the verse.
”But be not extravagant. Verily, He loves not those who are extravagant ”
(Surah Al- Anam 7:141)
Again, many times it is the women who force their husbands to do such things. They say that so and so’s party they had this and that. However, such gatherings must be according to the Shariah .The person should not spend what is beyond his means. He must also never be extravagant for Allah has prohibited extravagance.
”Verily, He loves not those who are extravagant.”
(Surah Al- Anam 7:141)
Honeymoons are worse and even more evil. This is because they are an imitation of the non-Muslims. They are a waste of lots of wealth. It also leads to people being lax with respect to their religious duties when such honeymoons take place in non- Muslim areas. The people come back with customs and behaviour that are harmful for them and for the Muslim community. This is something that is to be feared for the Ummah. However there is no harm, Allah Willing, if a man travels with his wife to make Umrah or to visit Madinah.

*Righteous wife*
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
A righteous wife will be with her righteous husband for many years, and she is the one who is meant in the hadeeth in which the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“This world is temporary conveniences and the best of its comforts is a believing wife, who when you look at her she pleases you and if you tell her to do something she obeys you, and if you are away from her she protects you with regard to herself and your wealth.”
This is what the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) enjoined when the Muhaajiroon asked him which kind of wealth they should acquire, and he said: “Let one of you acquire :
- a tongue that remembers Allaah,
- a thankful heart, and
- a believing wife who will help him with regard to the Hereafter.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
She may offer the love and compassion that Allaah speaks of in His Book, and the pain of separation may be harder for her than death in some cases, and harder than losing wealth or leaving one’s homeland, especially if one of them is fond of the other or they have children together who will be harmed by separation.

"Why do you want to marry him? I want to marry him because of the Deen."
This statement is so deep than the way we take it. We should by now know that there is a big difference between religiosity and compatibility. The deen for some people ends with the appearance of the person they want to marry, while others think once you can copy and paste Qur'an and Hadith or recite, then you have the Deen.
We have to differentiate between knowledge and understanding of the deen, most times, we fall for the knowledge of the intending partner, but pay less attention to understanding of it. This is a big mistake. There are Muslims you cannot marry, not because they are bad, but due to the level of their understanding of the religion, if you go ahead and tie the knot with them, you might have problem.
The individual wearing the appearance is more than important, look out for how he or she relates with people, then you will understand what you are going to. The real character of your wife is the one she shows to the house help, you can see how derogatory she goes while talking to other people, obviously, the favour she gets from you might determine the way she currently honours you.
You have to search for a man of character, not the one that wears the appearance without proper understanding. When a man wants to catch a 'lady', he pretends, but after the game, he shows you the red card. Today, we are seeing Niqabite sisters dancing to hip hop on TikTok. We have recently seen a person who traveled to the holy Land, dancing in front of ka' bah.
Remember, the character of the brother or sister you intend to marry must mirror the religion. The problem is that, intending partners tend to pay attention to appearance and neglect character, the result of this error is in the public domain.
Always pay attention to details.

CAN A WOMAN BOYCOTT HER HUSBAND?
Advice to Spouses from Shaykh ‘Ubayd Al-Jaabiree حفظه الله
Question: May Allaah reward you with good, our Shaykh; this is the 6th question. The questioner from Morocco says: Is it permissible for me to boycott my husband when a misunderstanding takes place between us? By boycott I mean not speaking to him and preventing him from touching me.
Answer: The poor girl. Why, my daughter? We do not know that a woman from the female Companions or those who followed them did the likes of this action. The best of that which I can advise you with—you and your husband—intending the Pleasure of Allaah, is that it is obligatory upon each of you to have a firm belief that the other party is a trust that is (binding) upon your neck (Translator’s note: i.e., Each is responsible for the other and will be questioned regarding treatment of the other) and it is a must that each fulfills the other’s rights completely; and that one does not transgress against the other with regards to his/her rights. This is the first.
Secondly, I advise each of you to overlook and pardon the other with regards to that which emanates from the other from shortcoming. So if the woman falls short then her husband is advised to pardon her and not punish her for that. If the husband falls short then the wife is advised to pardon him. For perfection is (only) for Allaah.
You and you husband must beware of the dissension (caused by) Shaytaan. I will remind you with this verse:
وَقُل لِّعِبَادِي يَقُولُواْ الَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلإِنْسَانِ عَدُوًّا مُّبِينًا
And say to My slaves that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaytaan, verily, sows dissension among them. Surely, Shaytaan is to man a plain enemy. (Al-Isra 17:53)
So you and your husband beware of the dissension (caused by) Shaytaan.

Beware of Istidraaj: When Delayed Punishment Becomes a Trial
بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم
Brothers, beware of istidraaj — when Allaah allows a sinner to continue enjoying ease, success, status, and concealment while steadily increasing him in sin until destruction overtakes him unexpectedly.
Look at Fir‘awn. He was granted kingdom, power, authority, wealth, and influence until his very last moments. Yet he oppressed his wife, slaughtered innocent boys, humiliated women, enslaved a nation, and — greater than all of that — arrogantly rejected the clear signs brought by the Messenger of Allaah.
His worldly success was not honour. It was a rope being extended.
So do not be deceived when Allaah conceals your sins. Do not imagine that because punishment has not yet arrived, you are safe. A man may oppress his wife, betray trusts, nurture hidden hypocrisy, persist upon secret kufr, mock the limits of Allaah in private, and still wake up every day with provision, health, and reputation. That concealment is not always mercy. Sometimes it is a test. Sometimes it is abandonment.
Do not think you can spend the beginning of your life playing games with your Lord, then conveniently repent at the end when your desires weaken and death approaches. Allaah is not unjust, and evil plots only encircle its planner.
Even the grandfather of the Prophet ﷺ spent years protecting and supporting his grandson, defending him against harm and standing beside him in difficult times, yet he did not die upon Islaam. Good deeds alone do not guarantee a good ending. Nearness to righteousness is not righteousness itself. Lineage, service, intelligence, activism, reputation, or sacrifice cannot save a person if sincerity and submission to Allaah are absent.
So be humble.
Rush toward tawbah before the door closes. Increase in righteousness while you still possess strength. And constantly beg Allaah for steadfastness, because the greatest karāmah is not wealth, influence, intelligence, or admiration from people — it is to die upon guidance and sincerity.
A beautiful ending is not owed to anyone. It is granted by Allaah alone - And Allaah is not unjust!

A beautiful ending is not owed to anyone. It is granted by Allaah alone - And Allaah is not unjust!

"In a marriage, there will be a time when physical beauty loses its meaning, the body becomes frail and returns to the earth, and love is no longer synonymous with romance. At that point, the strongest bond is faith. Therefore, in addition to choosing someone who appeals to your heart and eyes, choose someone who is willing to learn and nurture your relationship with God's guidance.
This way, no matter how intense the trials that spark anger may be, the ultimate refuge will be His pleasure. For if what we strive for is His pleasure, not only will we achieve sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah, but marriage will also become a reflection of paradise.
Faith is that important, even if we still struggle to perfect it and sometimes do it half-heartedly. Still, prioritize it over love. Because eventually, a heart that fears Allah and is allowed to be attached to you will no longer worry about human matters, let alone worldly concerns.
For that heart will not look at anyone else, nor will it submit to anyone else but Him. This is the meaning of the verse 'Litaskunu ilaiha' - that you may find tranquility and peace with her."
Atau bisa juga diterjemahkan sebagai:
"In marriage, a time comes when looks fade, bodies weaken, and romance wanes. Faith becomes the strongest bond. Choose a partner who shares your commitment to nurturing your relationship with God's guidance.
With faith, trials become manageable, and His pleasure becomes the ultimate goal. Prioritizing faith over love may be imperfect, but it's essential. A heart that fears Allah and is drawn to you will find peace, free from worldly worries.
This is the essence of 'Litaskunu ilaiha' - finding tranquility and peace with one another."

Loosing virginity before marriage has become kind of common. No I'm not talking about rape. That's totally a different topic. By this topic I mean girl and boy both of them willing to have haram sex. Astaghfirullah
After the haram sex most of the time the girl and boy act very innocent. They'll be like 'you know I didn't mean to do it but it just happened'.
Seriously? It just happened? Whom are trying to fool? It's obvious that you know what you were doing. It's not like you were unconscious and it all happened cuz of some sort of magic.
The truth this that you couldn't control your desire. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Said: “No man is alone with a woman but the Shaytan is the third one present.” You should be aware of it.
Just imagine your husband/wife had sex with other person. How would you feel? Doesn't it hurt? If yes then how could you do the same thing? How could you cheat your future husband/wife? Are you that heartless? Don't you fear Allah SWT?
It's too late I already had haram sex. What should I do? Regret and repent to Allah SWT before it's too late. Before the punishment comes to you. And don't do it again!
Note: Before marriage relationship is called Zina. It’s haram prohibited in Islam. A real man will offer you (halal) marriage Nikkah, A loser will offer you (haram) Zina. Don't be so stupid to choose a loser. Remember Allah SWT Always watching at you!
May Allah SWT forgive us, guide us and protect us from doing major and minor sins. Ameen 🤲

!! Has our trust become so cheap !!
Everyone can be an Angel online, because you never lived with them, never traveled or did business with them or have real references from people who truly know them and are not biased to them, so in-fact the the person behind the screen could be anyone!
Sadly in these realities young sisters are getting married online, brothers are sharing their personal details with strange females online
Sadly in the end in many cases there is only regret!

A righteous wife is not created by beautiful words alone. She blossoms in the presence of a husband who fears Allah in the way he treats her.
A woman’s peace is often a reflection of the mercy, patience, and kindness she receives at home.
The man who lowers his voice, softens his heart, and honors his wife for the sake of Allah is building more than a marriage—he is building a home filled with barakah.🤍

Quitting Porn and Masturbation
Two things can not remain simultaneously with a muslim; strong eemaan (faith) and addiction to sin. Some sins are so detrimental to eemaan that a muslim does not remain a muslim while in the state of committing the act. So the faith of a muslim while he is committing zina (fornication/Adultery) or stealing for instance leaves him and hovers above him like a cloud and only returns to him after he stops the act! Imagine if he died in that state!
So, does the one who watches porn realise the urgent need to quit the filthy act? Does he not think that Allaah is oft-forgiving (forgetting He is also severe in purnishment)? Does he even fear he could die in that state? What a disgraceful end that would be!
Untill a muslim realises the need to maintain a strong eemaan he would continue to find sins fair seeming! While the one with a strong eemaan feels saddened and remorseful when he falls into sin and hastens to repentance, the one with a weak faith finds excuses to justify his sins and delays repentance!
What follows are just suggestions which are hoped will help the one who genuinely wishes to quit porn addiction (and masturbation) by Allaah's will.
1. Some need therapy.
Some porn addicts need professional counsel and monitoring. They may have lost the self control and discipline to stop on their own. Such are those whom if they find internet access (or any other source) and privacy, there is a 95% certainty they will view pornographic material! Such need medical help or the help and guide of a scholar with experience in dealing with such .
2. Eliminate all links and triggers.
Links are people, things, places and actions that increases your tendency to watch porn. It is important to mention here the need to keep the company of the pious; people who remind you of Allaah and what is good, rather than those who make fitnah and haraam seem attractive and call you to it. If you are trying to quit porn addiction, you have to quit bad company!
Triggers are things that may cause you to relapse back to watching porn after having tried to quit. Chief among triggers are movies with sex scenes and nude displays. They may also include erotic novels and magazines, sex chats, free mixing with opposite sex, keeping girlfriends - anything that is likely to incite your urge and cause you to seek for a way to satisfy the urge unlawfully!
3. Get Married at the earliest convenient time.
There is nothing more beautiful than being able to satisfy your urge in a halal manner! Once, the prophet peace be upon him informed the companions saying "it is considered charity for a man to have sexual relations with his wife"! The companions were stunned beyond words! So they asked if a man gets rewarded while he satisfies his urge (through intercourse with his wife)? And the prophet peace be upon him replied "أرأيتم لو وضعها في حرام أكان عليه فيها وزر ؟ فكذلك إذا وضعها في الحلال كان له أجر "
"Do you think if he had satisfied his urge by unlawful means he wouldn't have had a sin for it, such it is that if he satisfies it by lawful means, he gets a reward!"
Allaahu akbar! It's a win win for the married man! He satisfies his urge and he gets a reward, but the unmarried one who resorts to porn and masturbation gets a sin instead and may be disgraced if he doesn't stop. May Allaah make marriage easy for those who need it.

Title: Kitaabun-Nikaah (The Book of Marriage) from Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan’s explanation of Buloogh al-Maraam min Adillatil-Ahkaam of Al-Haafidh Ahmad Ibn
الثَّيِّبُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِكْرُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ وَإِذْنُهَا سُكُوتُهَا
“A previously married woman has more right to her person than her guardian. The virgin must be consulted [prior to marriage], and her silence is her consent.”
Reported by Muslim, no 1421, 67.
And in a report:
لَيْسَ لِلْوَلِيِّ مَعَ الثَّيِّبِ أَمْرٌ وَالْيَتِيمَةُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ
“The guardian has no authority to command a previously married woman. And the orphan girl must be consulted (before marriage).”
Reported by Abu Dawood, no. 2100. An-Nasaa’ee, 6/85. Declared to be authentic by Ibn Hibbaan, no. 4089.
986: Narrated Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu
لَا تُزَوِّجُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ وَلَا تُزَوِّجُ الْمَرْأَةُ نَفْسَهَا
“A woman cannot give another woman away in marriage, and she cannot give herself away in marriage.”
Reported by Ibn Maajah, no. 1882. Ad-Daaruqutnee, 3/227. All the narrators are trustworthy. The narration is authentic with this wording.
Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) said:
Explanation:
This hadeeth just like the previous one proves that a woman cannot give herself away in marriage, she cannot marry herself off. That is because the contract of marriage is the right of the guardian. And were she to marry herself off, then that marriage would be invalid and void, as previously stated. And this is position of the vast majority of scholars. Furthermore, if it is the case that she can cannot give herself away in marriage, then likewise she cannot give another woman away in marriage either, because of the fact she does not have the right over the marriage contract; rather that belongs to her male guardian. Meaning that cannot marry off, for example, her daughter, her sister, or a near or far relative because she is not considered to be the guardian in marriage.
Alee Ibn Hajr al-Asqalaanee (Born 773H, Died 852H). Shaikh Al-Fawzaan’s tremendous explanation is entitled Tas-heel al-Ilmaam bi-fiqhil-Ahaadeeth min Bulooghil-Maraam and is printed in seven volumes. The following is a translation of this important and very enlightening chapter, adapted in places for brevity and simplicity. The following is from volume 4.
Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullaah) said:
