Zina takes everything from you. It is one of a few sins the Quran calls pure filth. Zina is a chain reaction, it starts with a glance, then a smile, a message, a meeting until one day your heart has already crossed the line and the body simply follows. That's why Allah didn't say don't commit zina, Allah says do not go even near it. Because the paths leading to Zina are as destructive as Zina itself.
By the time the body sins, the heart, mind, and discipline are already compromised. That's why people feel emptier after, not relieved. Something leaks out of them, focus, self respect or barakah. Zina didn't just break religious rules it kills your ability to bond deeply and slowly normalizes self betrayal.
Zina strongly activates the dopamine. It makes a normal life feel boring, work feels heavy and the focus drops. Over time, self control becomes weak. You know something is wrong, but stopping feels harder. It also creates emotional bonds in the brain. When intimacy happens without commitment, those bonds break again and again. The brain learns not to attach deeply. People start feeling emotionally numb, distant, or unable to truly connect.
When you commit Zina the body stays in a stress cycle. Sleep, energy and mood get affected. Anxiety and restlessness increases. Mentally and morally it creates an inner conflict. You act against your values. Guilt and secrecy slowly eat confidence and peace. Zina is always an exchange. You give time, focus, discipline, biology and you get distractions in return. With Zina, you don't just touch a body, you inherit a mess. Other people's chaos stick to you.
Halal intimacy does not damage a person because it happens inside safety, clarity, and responsibility. In marriage, there is no secrecy, no fear of exposure, and no inner conflict. The Quran allows intimacy only within marriage because it protects dignity and emotional stability. When a person acts in with their values, the mind stays calm instead of divided, so guilt and shame do not poison the experience.
Scientifically, halal intimacy works with the brain, not against it. Oxytocin and bonding hormones strengthen attachment instead of being broken repeatedly. This builds trust, emotional security, and long-term satisfaction rather than emotional numbness. The brain learns that intimacy is safe, stable, and meaningful, not something to chase and hide.
In today’s age of constant stimulation, casual relationships, and instant pleasure, halal intimacy protects focus and discipline. It does not drain energy or scatter attention. Instead, it supports routine, emotional balance, and personal growth. Rather than weakening self-control, it strengthens it. That is why halal intimacy adds peace and stability, while zina slowly takes them away even when it looks harmless on the surface.

One of the biggest mistakes married couples make is allowing everyone else to have a voice in their marriage.
Parents have opinions, friends have opinions, workmates have opinions, social media definitely has opinions.
Before you know it, your marriage has ten advisers and zero communication between the two people who actually said, "I do."
Protect your marriage from unnecessary outside noise.
Seek wise counsel when you genuinely need it, but don't let strangers, gossip, or viral relationship videos dictate how you treat your spouse.
A marriage built on public opinion is doomed to fail.
The strongest marriages I've seen are the ones where the husband and wife don't listen to other people outside the marriage.

In today's world, genuine love, sincerity, and mutual respect seem less common than they once were. In many relationships, love is no longer cherished and nurtured but is instead used to serve personal interests.
When a woman is loving, compassionate, and kind-hearted, her qualities are sometimes taken for granted or exploited rather than appreciated. Likewise, when a man is sincere, caring, and selfless, his devotion is sometimes mistaken for weakness and used for someone else's benefit.
True love is built on protecting each other's feelings, dignity, and trust not on taking advantage of one another's sincerity. Love flourishes where appreciation, honesty, and mutual respect exist.

House chores
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:
“When a person is at home then it is from the Sunnah, that for example he makes his own tea, cooks if he knows how to and washes up that which needs washing, all of this is from the Sunnah.
If you do this then you get the reward of following the Sunnah, with imitating the Messenger ﷺ and in humbling yourself for Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic.
This also brings about love between you and your wife. When your family sense that you help them in their chores they will love you and your value to them will increase, therefore, this will end up being a great benefit.”

On the Quiet Harm of Careless Matchmaking
A reflection occasioned by an online Salafi marriage platform's refusal to entertain clarification about a prospective suitor.
It is worth noting, at the outset, that the majority of scholars have not looked favorably upon these online marriage platforms — only a few have offered them qualified endorsement. Perhaps this caution itself deserves more attention than it receives.
There is a difference, after all, between vouching for someone whose reality you know and vouching for someone whose digital persona you have merely observed. A polished online presence — fluency in translation, proximity to a shaykh's channel, an appearance of affluence — tells you almost nothing about a man's character.
In an age of AI-generated personas and internet fraud, such markers are easier than ever to fabricate, and harder than ever to verify. Matchmaking, by contrast, was always meant to rest on testimony from those who actually know a person to exist as he presents himself — not merely to perform himself.
When a platform dismisses a sincere, firsthand testimony — from someone who has truly dealt with the man, traveled with him, shared close company with him — in favor of an internet impression, something quietly serious may be happening.
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb asked about a man (when someone praised him). He asked: 'Are you his neighbor? For the neighbor knows best the character of his neighbors.' The man said: 'No.' He asked: 'Have you accompanied him on a journey? For journeys reveal the true nature of people.' The man said: 'No.' He asked: 'Have you had business dealings with him? For the dirham and the dinar reveal the true metal of men.' The man said: 'No.' He asked: 'Have you only seen him in the masjid, moving his head while standing and sitting (i.e., in prayer)?' The man said: 'Yes.' ʿUmar said: 'Then sit down, for you do not truly know him.'" end quote.
I say: What if you did not see his head moving in the masjid?
Thus, an innocent soul's life may be placed at risk. And beyond that individual, the broader reputation of Salafiyyah itself is put in harm's way, as outsiders begin to associate the name with negligence and deception, or even worse, with fraud.
If a marriage is built upon such deception, then — Allaah ta'aalaa knows best — those who enabled it through silence or dismissal may bear a portion of that burden.
“They will bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and also of the burdens of those whom they misled without knowledge. Evil indeed is that which they shall bear!” Surah An-Nahl (16:25)
“They will certainly bear their own burdens and other burdens along with their own, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to fabricate.” Surah Al-‘Ankabut (29:13).

Brother!
Don't marry a woman simply because she's fun to be around.
Fun is important, but marriage is built for far more than holidays, date nights, and good times.
Life will test you.
There will be financial pressures, family challenges, disappointments, setbacks, health issues, difficult decisions, and moments when you question yourself.
That is why you should marry a woman who strengthens what is weak in you.
A woman who sees your blind spots before they become your downfall.
A woman who tells you the truth when everyone else tells you what you want to hear.
A woman who believes in your dreams and helps you build them.
A woman whose intuition, wisdom, and sincerity become an asset to your future.
A woman who brings solutions instead of drama.
A woman who stands beside you during the storms, not just the sunshine.
Most importantly, marry a woman who fears Allah.
Because when a woman prioritises Allah, she will strive to be fair even when she is upset, fulfil your rights even when it is difficult, protect your honour in your presence and absence, and encourage you towards what pleases Allah.
The quality of your life will be heavily influenced by the person you choose to share it with.
Don't just ask yourself:
"Can I have fun with her?"
Ask yourself:
"Can I build a life with her?"
"Can I face hardship with her?"
"Can I trust her with my future, my children, my weaknesses, and my dreams?"
Because marriage is not a test of how well two people enjoy the good times.
It is a test of how well they navigate the difficult times together.
Choose the woman who will help you become the man Allah created you to be.
Don't marry the woman who only makes your happy days better.
Marry the woman who helps you suvive your difficult days.

The difference between Ajwa Al Alia and Ajwa Al Madinah
__
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Indeed, in the Ajwa dates of Al-Aliyah taken early in the morning, there is a cure or an antidote."
_
It is one of the most sought-after dates among date lovers, especially given the high spiritual and nutritional value of this luxurious type of date associated with Madinah. The important distinction between the two lies in the fact that Ajwa Alia is considered one of the rarest and finest varieties, while Ajwa Medina enjoys a widespread presence and great popularity among consumers.
But the most important question is: How can I identify authentic Ajwa dates amidst the plethora of them available in the market? The answer lies in knowing the distinguishing characteristics of each type, understanding the differences in taste, texture, and source, and purchasing authentic Ajwa dates from a trusted store.
Distinguishing between Ajwa Alia and Ajwa Madinah is important for anyone seeking authenticity and quality, as each has its own distinct characteristics in terms of source, taste, texture, and even price. Here are the most notable differences:
Ajwa Aliyah dates are a premium variety of Ajwa dates grown exclusively in the Al-Aliyah region southwest of Al-Madinah, Saudi Arabia, near Masjid Quba, a historical region known for its abundant production of the finest dates. Ajwa dates, on the other hand, are grown in various orchards and farms in Madinah, making them more widely available and diverse in terms of quality and source.
Ajwa Alia has a deep flavor and balanced sweetness with a firm texture, making it a premium choice for date lovers. Ajwa Madinah, on the other hand, has a milder flavor and a softer texture, making it suitable for everyday consumption and a variety of tastes.
Ajwa Alia fruits are typically larger and darker, almost black in color, giving them a distinctive appearance. Ajwa Madinah fruits, on the other hand, are relatively smaller and lighter in color, yet retain their distinctive flavor that distinguishes them from other types of dates.
Due to their rarity and high nutritional value, Ajwa Alia is considered the most expensive in the market and is often classified as a luxury item. Ajwa Madinah, on the other hand, is relatively lower-priced and more affordable, making it an accessible option for a wider range of consumers.
Thus, it becomes clear that the difference between Ajwa Alia and Ajwa Madinah is not limited to taste alone, but also includes location, physical characteristics, and even market value.
Average price: the Aliyah can be found at 70 SR/kg and the standard Madinah Ajwa for 20 SR/kg (prices may vary on produce).

🆕 Allah Tests Us So that West Can Grow: Reframing Hardship & Trauma with Sound Islamic Beliefs
🖊️Imam Ibn Al Qayyim (d. 751 AH رحمه الله) said [in al Fawā’id]:
• إِذَا جَرَى عَلَى الْعَبْدِ مَقْدُورٌ يَكْرَهُهُ؛ فَلَهُ فِيهِ سِتَّةُ مَشَاهِدَ:
"If a servant experiences a predestined event that he dislikes, he has six perspectives regarding it:
أَحَدُهَا: مَشْهَدُ التَّوْحِيدِ، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الَّذِي قَدَّرَهُ وَشَاءَهُ وَخَلَقَهُ، وَمَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ.
1️⃣ First: The perspective of monotheism, recognizing that Allah is the one who decreed, willed, and created it. Whatever Allah wills happens, and whatever He does not will does not happen.
2️⃣ Second: The perspective of justice, recognizing that His judgment is carried out in it, and His decree is just.
3️⃣ Third: The perspective of mercy, recognizing that His mercy in this predestined event outweighs His wrath and vengeance, and His mercy permeates it.
4️⃣Fourth: The perspective of wisdom, recognizing that His wisdom, Glorified be He, necessitated this. He did not decree it in vain, nor did He judge it arbitrarily.
5️⃣Fifth: The perspective of praise, recognizing that He, Glorified be He, deserves complete praise for it from all aspects.
6️⃣ Sixth: The perspective of servitude, recognizing that he is purely a servant in every respect, subjected to the judgments and decrees of his Master due to his status as His property and servant.
He is directed under His (universal) decrees (of predestination) as he is directed under His religious commands; he is a locus for the operation of these judgments upon him."

🆕 Allah Tests Us So that West Can Grow: Reframing Hardship & Trauma with Sound Islamic Beliefs

Marriage used to be about lifelong vows - till death do us part. Unless there was abuse, violence or infidelity, couples used to be patient with each other, and grew together.
Feminism destroyed this beautiful institution by brain washing women. They made women believe that having a happy, stable family life was not enough. When you start to think that the grass is greener on the other side, you kill your own happiness.
And now marriages are breaking for reasons which are neither abuse, nor violence, nor infidelity. Here are some of the reasons, which has been implanted purely by the feminist ideology.
1. 'I felt bored and wanted excitement.'
He was loyal, a great provider, treated her like a queen, and never cheated but after a few years the daily routine felt flat to her.
Feminism taught her that marriage is supposed to be an endless romantic movie full of butterflies and adventure. So, she started looking outside for the thrill instead of building deeper connection with the solid man she already had.
2. 'I lost myself in the marriage.'
She had stability, kids, a nice home, and a husband who supported her, but she claimed she no longer knew who she was.
Feminism drilled into her brain that being a wife and mother is oppressive and that she must 'find herself' even if it means blowing up her family. So she left to chase 'personal growth' while destroying the home that actually gave her identity and security.
3. 'He was too nice and predictable.'
The same qualities that made him marriage material - calm, consistent, responsible, and non-dramatic suddenly became boring in her eyes.
Feminism romanticizes chaotic bad boys and 'excitement' while telling women that a stable, strong leader is beta and unworthy. She craved drama and challenge instead of appreciating the peace a good man provides.
4. 'My friends said I deserved better.'
Outside voices played a huge role - single girlfriends, online therapists, Instagram influencers, and feminist content constantly whispered that she was settling.
Feminism conditions women to always keep one eye on the upgrade instead of investing in and protecting what they already have with their husband.
5. 'I wanted to be independent and focus on my career.'
Even with a husband who supported her dreams, she felt marriage and family were holding her back from 'living her best life.'
Feminism sold her the lie that career success and solo independence are more fulfilling than building a legacy with a good man. Many regretted it later when the corporate world proved colder than home.
6. 'The spark was gone.'
No abuse, no major fights - just normal life after years together with kids and responsibilities. Instead of working on reigniting attraction, polarity, and intimacy, she bailed because feminism tells women that when the initial feelings fade, you should leave.
7. 'I needed to be happy and put myself first.'
This was the most repeated answer. Feminism turned marriage from a sacred team covenant into a personal happiness dispenser.
If it stopped making her feel constantly excited or fulfilled, she felt justified to walk away even from a 'perfect' husband. Selfishness disguised as self-love destroyed these homes."
8. 'I thought I could do better on my own.'
Hypergamy in full effect. They believed single life or a new man would be an upgrade from the loyal, providing husband they had.
Feminism removed any shame around breaking vows and destroying families. Most later realized the grass was not greener, but by then the damage to their children and ex-husband was already done.
Modern women are leaving good men not because of mistreatment, but because feminism has poisoned their minds with entitlement, unrealistic expectations, and zero loyalty.

Inside The Mind of a Striving to be Righteous Salafi woman:
Just a small piece of advice to any brother that's looking for a salafi wife, when you have a lot of females on your friend list it's a turn off to the righteous salafi woman that is. When you're following women on social media and most of them are single, it's a turn off. When you are married but you hide your marital status on social media, it's a turn off. When you go back and forth with women on social media, it's a turn off. When you DM women with small talk, it's a turn off. When you're constantly posting pics of yourself, it's a turn off. When your post are distasteful it's a turn off. When you don't dress Islamically, it's a turn off. When you use foul language, it's a turn off. When you make posts pertaining to your single status so all the single women on your page can like, love, and comment, it's a turn off and I'm sure the flipside is the same for a righteous salafi man so sisters be mindful of being guilty of this as well. Brothers step up your game if you're looking for a righteous salafi wife and be mindful of these actions and vice versa. You will only attract the wrong type of woman or man by your actions and you will have no one to blame but yourself. If a sister is interested in you or sitting with you and you are on social media, know that she will go through your page with a fine tooth comb! She will investigate you better than any private investigator. She will investigate you even more than her wali or wakil because women have learned to be an advocate for themselves. Times have changed and sisters are not trying to be caught out there with the wrong brother. They are being extra cautious and one wrong move on your part may be considered a red flag. Just think of your actions on social media like you are auditioning for a part not just for a spouse but for your own soul because you'll be held accountable for your misdeeds. Cover you faults and stop exposing them on social media and you may just find that righteous salafi spouse of your dreams!

Nothing raises the status of a woman like chastity. It's a strength, a dignity, and a reflection of inner purity and self-respect. Guarding one's chastity is a commitment to personal values and a choice that honors oneself. This choice is about embracing a life of integrity and purpose, knowing that one's worth comes from within, and virtue is a source of strength. Those who remain chaste are promised Allāh's profound forgiveness and immeasurable reward in the ākhirah.
“And they who guard their chastity [means, those who protect their private parts from unlawful actions and do not do that which Allāh has forbidden; fornication and homosexuality, and do not approach anyone]. Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -” — Qur'ān, Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr (Abridged), Sūrah al-Mu'minun 23:5-7
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:
Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him."
[Sahīh al-Bukhārī 6474]
Only Allāh ﷻ possesses perfect knowledge.

"I was married to a student of Islamic knowledge, yet he constantly reminded me of my illness and made me feel like a burden. That experience taught me one lesson: never be deceived by titles, appearances, or reputation.
Look at a person's character, for that is what you will live with every day."
You do not need more than a sensible husband with good character, who establishes the five daily prayers, earns from halal sources, and has a connection with the Qur'an and worship.
Remove from your list the conditions that social media has filled your mind with.
There are homes filled with oppression, abuse, and misery despite an abundance of beards, Islamic texts, certificates, and titles. And there are homes filled with mercy, tranquillity, and kindness among ordinary Muslims who may never have studied advanced Islamic sciences, yet understand what it means to fear Allah and treat others well.
A person's books, certificates, and reputation do not guarantee a successful marriage if they do not act upon what they know. So look first at their character, manners, and religion before looking at their memorization, status, or popularity.
The title of "
Knowledge alone will not benefit others if it is not accompanied by good character. A long beard will not show mercy if the heart is harsh and the tongue is hurtful.
A man is not measured by what he knows, but by how he lives. And the real test of a person's religion is often found in the way they treat those under their care when no one is watching.
Anyone can speak about good character. The real test is living by it.

ISSUES TO DISCUSS BEFORE MARRIAGE
No topic is off bounds when it comes to planning for marriage. If it is important to you, discuss it.
We are different so these issues will vary from person to person but here's a general guide.
Finance: This includes income, expenditure, plans, backup, contribution ratio, saving format, joint income.
Sex: Current status, expectations, limits and boundaries, handling disagreements.
Polygyny: Possibility of it, current status, limits and boundaries, acceptable terms.
Career: Dreams and desires, current status, limits and boundaries, time management, power of choice.
In-laws and family: welfare arrangement, accommodation agreement, structure, default united front, conflict management and resolutions, involvements, discussions and decisions, family traditions, current liabilities.
Conflicts and misunderstandings: Discussions, decisions, resolutions, acceptable third party.
Children: current status, desired number (as gifted), adoption.
Health: Current status and conditions, genotype and blood group. This, followed up by various medical tests including sex and reproduction tests.
Education and self development: plans and desires, current status, balancing with family.
Past: Very significant events from the past that can affect things going forward e.g. declaring a previously had child, significant records, anything you can be blackmailed with, etc
Religion: Current status, expectations and desires, limits and boundaries, procedure.
***********
This is not an exhaustive list, you can add as it applies to you. Way too many homes are getting lost because we are not taking the time to address these things upfront.
