29 January 2026 - 0115z
There is now activity around Robert Gray Army Airfield/Fort Hood, with one of the diverted C-17's arriving on the 28th. I'm starting to record C-5 flights as well, with two from 28 January being added.
There hasn't been any movement of the GOLD tankers from Pease ANGB yet. I expect these may move today (29th).
Note: All the information in these posts is obtained via public sources (FlightRadar24/ADS-B/ACARS), and discrete movements are omitted.
Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III 1x
#AE2FA3 08-8191 - REACH 635 (Moody AFB)
REACH 635 from Moody AFB has now arrived in Jordan. Reminder that Moody is, among other units, home to the 71st Rescue Squadron flying the HC-130J Combat King II. This suggests that KING 40/41 flight will eventually end up in Jordan.
Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar
Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy 2x
#AE0572 86-0021 - REACH 4010 (MacDill AFB)
#AE0562 85-0005 - REACH 4005 (MacDill AFB)
I'm going to start recording C-5 flights, there aren't as many - mainly due to the size of the fleet. Two flights, REACH 4005 and REACH 4010 departed MacDill AFB, with REACH 4005 having arrived at Al Udeid alraedy.
Unknown Final Location
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III 2x
#AE1461 06-6163 - REACH 127 (Rota NAS)
#AE1464 06-6166 - REACH 867 (Offutt AFB)
Two C-17 flights with unknown final locations currently. There is a flight from Offutt AFB currently on the ground at Ramstein, likely carrying further equipment for the RC-135 which flew to Al Udeid on Wednesday.
Other Aircraft
Bombardier E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN)
#AE54B4 12-9506 - BLACKWOLF 01 (Robins AFB)
BLACKWOLF 01 appears to be making its way to the Middle East, having arrived in Souda Bay on Tuesday.
Summary
My eyes are still on tanker movements. To recap, there are eight KC-46 tankers positioned on the U.S. East Coast.
For CORONET East 035:
- GOLD 81/82
- GOLD 71/72
For CORONET East 037:
- GOLD 31/32
- GOLD 41/42
037E moved six E/A-18G Growler's from Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station to Oceana Naval Air Station, with the tankers continuing on to Pease ANGB, rather than returning home to McConnell. This suggests they will be making the journey across the Atlantic at some stage.
Any additions or corrections please let me know. Thanks!

27 January 2026 - 2000z
Second update for the day. The main focus being CORONET East 037 involving E/A-18G's, as well as HC-130's and additional C-17 flights.
Note: All the information in these posts is obtained via public sources (FlightRadar24/ADS-B/ACARS), and discrete movements are omitted. The noted date is the arrival date of the last stop. For previous flights that aren't shown, please browse back through this thread.

Boeing KC-46 Pegasus 4x

#AE5E08 17-46027 - GOLD 31 (Homestead ARB)
#AE5FA6 11-46059 - GOLD 42 (Cecil Airport)
#AE5F97 18-46044 - GOLD 32 (Cecil Airport)
The two KC-46's that moved to Homestead Air Reserve Base yesterday as GOLD 31 and GOLD 41 today flew towards Puerto Rico to collect six E/A-18G Growlers as TABOR 51-53/61-63 flight from Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station, and took them to Oceana Naval Air Station. GOLD 31/41, along with GOLD 32 and GOLD 42, all moved to Pease Air National Guard Base. It looks that these E/A-18's are bound for the Middle East and will most likely move in the next 24-48 hours.
Aside from this, CORONET East 035 is still positioned at Homestead as GOLD 71/72 and GOLD 81/82. There has been no movement on these tankers yet.

SFB)
#AE690F 18-5906 - KING 40 (Patrick SFB)
As noticed by @DefenceGeek, two HC-130's departed Patrick Space Force Base and have made their way to Rota Naval Air Station in Spain, and appear to be headed further East. The HC-130 is the Air Force combat search and rescue aircraft, with AAR capabilities to refuel helicopters.
Tanker Activity
Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker 1x
#AE0149 57-1468 - REACH 037 (Moron)
One of the four tankers that positioned at Moron has returned back to Al Udeid after almost a week. The reason is unknown, and there are no ACARS for REACH 037.
Airlifter Activity
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III 2x
#AE0808 99-0062 - REACH 814 (Charleston AFB)
#AE2FA3 08-8191 - REACH 635 (Moody AFB)
Two notable C-17 movements since this morning. Particularly REACH 635 from Moody Air Force Base, home to two A-10C Thunderbolt II squadrons, as well as the 41st Rescue Squadron operating the HH-60W Pave Hawk, and the 71st Rescue Squadron, operating the HC-130J Combat King II.
Given the movement of two HC-130's eastwards, it's likely this flight is related to those.
Summary
Based on the current movements it looks that the United States are looking to begin moving the required combat aircraft into position, aside from the Fort Hood flights that are *still* stuck on the ground.
E/A-18's were used extensively in the lead up to the operation in Venezeula, as well as deployments of HC-130's. The next stages of the build-up I expect to be those Fort Hood flights finally making a move, and the deployment of fifth generation fighter aircraft.
Given the flights from Hill AFB, I believe the most likely candidate now for deployment is the 388th Fighter Wing, operating F-35A's. Although, like with the last two operations in Iran and Venezuela, I believe we will see a deploymnet of F-22 Raptor's a few days before the strikes are launched.
Any additions or corrections please let me know. Thanks!
