GOLD 02 (21-46088) was breifly re-assigned as HIFI 11 on the 22nd February.

Summary
Apologies for the short update. I need to take some time to refactor my spreadsheet before I go into more details on future flights.

We're now looking at almost 310 flights (C-17/C-5) into bases in the Middle East since the 15th January, according to @ArmchairAdml

#USAF United States Air Force - Middle East Activity
26 February Summary

We're now looking at almost 310 flights (C-17/C-5) into bases in the Middle East since the 15th January, and 16 pending flights for both Army and Air Force.

Additionally, the past 24 hours has also seen further tankers deploy to Israel, with 8 KC-46s headed to Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. We're now looking at around 66 tankers deployed to airports across Europe and Israel - excluding Al Udeid.

Twelve "HL" F-35As from Hill Air Force Base, and twelve "MO" F-15Es from Mountain Home Air Force Base arrived in the United Kingdom at RAF Lakenheath this evening.

Mildenhall is supporting these fighter movements with both visiting and based tankers. Typically, a Coronet would see tankers deploy to Mildenhall a few days before the movement. At the moment though, we're seeing tankers from the 100th Air Refuelling Wing supporting these movements.

There are still two pending Coronet missions. CE045 with "SJ" F-15Es has so far only resulted in two jets making it across the Atlantic, with the remaining 10 still at Seymour Johnson. CE046 saw tankers positioning from Beale AFB to McConnell AFB today, and their receivers are currently unknown - possibly more "HL" F-35s or "AK" F-22s.

I will post a summary of the Coronets in the update tomorrow, as I am once again in a hotel in Suffolk hoping for F-22 departures in the morning :)

There have now been at least 333 USAF C-17 and C-5 flights to the Middle East since 15 January, according to @ArmchairAdml

The US military buildup continues.

#USAF United States Air Force - Middle East Activity
27 February - Tanker/Airlift Summary

There have now been at least 333 C-17 and C-5 flights from U.S. Military bases in Asia, CONUS and Europe to the Middle East since 15 January. There are a further 5 pending Army-related flights, and 9 Air Force-related flights.

I've observed now a number of flights heading into the Middle East that aren't tracking on ADS-B/Flight Radar. As I've stated before, I don't include these on my list until their location is already public knowledge.

The flights are currently from a wide variety of origin bases, unlike earlier in the build up where we saw days of flights from a single base.

There are many whose ACARS messages originate from places such as Dover, Charleston and Bangor which leads me to believe they are masking their original location and not initialising on ACARS until they reach their first stop on their flight. This would be to prevent us seeing where they came from.

The flow of flights, if anything, is only increasing. This ADS-B Exchange screenshot is truly incredible.

The U.S. moved 12 U.S. Air Force B-1B "Lancer" strategic bombers out of RAF Fairford in England on Sunday over concerns about a possible drone attack ordered by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, according to U.S. and European officials briefed on the matter, speaking to The Wall Street Journal. The officials said it was part of a broader plot to hit the aircraft and kill personnel at the base, including American pilots.

The Pentagon declined to comment on the plot but confirmed all American bombers at the base have returned to the U.S. Vice President Vance said they were moved "out of an abundance of caution trying to protect our guys."

U.K. officials caution there is no evidence Iran could carry out such an elaborate operation against Fairford, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio said it isn't unusual for military aircraft to rotate around the world.

Six men arrested in connection with the case, including a dual U.K.-Iranian citizen, were released on bail. None have been charged.
