RT @Antonio_Argo_KZ: How does Hamas think kidnapping a grandmother is a good idea?

Spitting on women's corpses...

Shooting up civilians as they drive by...

Prepare for what is coming to you. But I am afraid many more innocent people will suffer.

Hamas cannot exist no more. It's over.

#Palestinian militants have kidnapped an Israeli grandmother and are taking her to their territory. 🤬🤬🤬 - Aurora Borealis 🤫

Bibi's recent statements and rejections of a two-state solution/the establishment of a #Palestinian State are notable - not because they're new, but because they hint at his political strategy to survive.

Bibi has always been against the two-state solution, but he's been far less subtle these past days. There is a reason for that: He is betting on this to survive.

Bibi understands that in the "day after" there will be a lot of pressure on #Israel to go back to the table of negotiation, and to resume peace talks. He wants to position himself as the only leader in Israel who can thwart those pressures.

He knows that segments of the Israeli public will be even more reluctant to accept living side by side with a Palestinian state in the aftermath of October 7. He will make a very simple argument: We saw what happens when Palestinians are left to their own devices. When Israel withdraws, like it did in Gaza.

It's a simplistic argument that ignores many factors. But arguing the opposite - that Israel needs a Palestinian State to stop the violence - will be inaudible in segments of the Israeli population. By playing on fears, he can hope to bounce back, and secure the votes of those who still despise him, but may end up seeing him as the only leader capable of thwarting international pressure.

It's ironic that what Bibi is doing is basically coming back to his roots. To what made him successful in the first place (fighting Oslo).

Brace for Bibi from the 90s. It's going to be ugly.

Important view into the #Palestinian dynamics in Ramallah, as Abbas's appointment of Mohammad Mustafa sends mix signals regarding the PA's readiness for change and reform (or "revitalization")

I have interviewed Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Palestinian movement Fatah Jibril Rajoub, as Hamas rejects the new lineup of the government in Ramallah. Key insights on the rift, Oslo, future state and the Israeli occupation. Soon on @AlMajallaAR - Ahmed Maher

Is normalization dead after the October 7 attacks? Are we going to move away from the "management of despair" that has plagued the #Israeli-#Palestinian conflict and led to the situation we're in? Is there even room for hope?

These are some of the questions I try to tackle in my book, which is out today - so be sure to grab a copy either on Amazon.uk (though it seems they will soon be out of stock) or @HurstPublishers's website (they have a nice spring sale). hurstpublishers.com/book/hop…
