The SDF/PKK burned all bridges when they released the ISIL detainees and launched a massive PR campaign filled with misinformation. Even the U.S. DOW officers—many of whom are holdovers from the Obama/Biden era and had been staunch defenders of the SDF—couldn't do so today after defending the SDF/PKK till the recent days.
The PKK's actions exposed a critical truth: the so-called SDF lacks a proper chain of command. To make matters worse, they abandoned the ISIL prisons without any prior coordination, adding insult to injury.

Like in 2024, Hezbollah sustains significant losses in the ongoing conflict with Israel.
The group doesn't disclose its losses, but a scan of Lebanese social media provides a glimpse into the high pace of fatalities.
Identified profiles include commanders, elite members (Radwan), ATGM operators, artillery personnel and many of them were veterans of the war in #Syria.
Hezbollah fighters face airstrikes in all their strongholds but also on the Southern front, where the group deploys its most experienced troops in small squads to target Israeli soldiers.

First Russian Pilot and #Syria veteran killed in Mali identified.
Captain Lobanov, co-pilot of a Russian Mi-8AMTSh , was killed when his helicopter was shot down near Gao during last month's insurgent offensive.
While several Wagnerites who fought in Syria were already killed in Mali, this appears to be the first confirmed Russian Army Officer slain there (who was also a veteran of Syria):

The systems are claimed to be Türkiye-made SİPER or HİSAR air defense systems, although the exact system has not been independently confirmed.
