Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:

"Whoever narrates something with the intention of exposing the faults and defects of a believer, aiming to tarnish their reputation and dignity in the eyes of people, belittling and degrading them, Allah the Almighty will exclude them from His friendship and admit them into the friendship of Satan."

🌿 The Hidden Chain of Vices

When a person becomes entangled in immoral traits and vices, each one opens the door for another. One evil quality gives birth to the next.

For example, arrogance often leads to stinginess.
A proud person, overwhelmed by self-importance, begins to believe that what he owns belongs solely to him — that others are not worthy of sharing in his blessings. He sees himself as superior, even in material things.

In Islamic narrations, we find that “the stingy one is even stingy with his greetings.”
You may have seen such a person: when you approach him, he waits for you to say Salam first. If he is forced to reply, you barely hear it — perhaps just a nod of the head. This is a subtle form of miserliness, rooted in arrogance.

To break the horns of pride, one must initiate greetings with everyone, regardless of their status.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for this — no one ever greeted him before he greeted them first.

This simple act of saying Salam is a powerful cure for arrogance and a path to humility. 🌸
