Inquired from Bayazid Bastami:
What is the sign of God's love?"

Bayazid replied:
He whom God loves bestows upon him three qualities:

Generosity like the generosity of the sea.
Affection like the affection of the sun.
Humility like the humility of the earth.

Ayatollah Fatemi-Nia:

The son of one of the great scholars once asked his father, "You, who are a sea of knowledge, if you were to give one piece of advice, what would it be?"

He lowered his head for a while and then said, "Do not take away someone's dignity!"

My dear ones, Islam wants to preserve the dignity of individuals! Let's not easily tarnish the dignity of others! The sin of dishonoring others is so vile that its perpetrators sometimes cannot even repent!

🔴 During the three years he was the custodian of the shrine, if you asked him where he lived in Mashhad, he would say, "Bab al-Jawad, Saray Iran." Despite numerous attempts by officials to arrange a suitable house for him, they were unsuccessful. He lived in one of the suites on the sixth floor of an administrative building belonging to the shrine. He brought only a few essential items from his Tehran home, just enough to have some basic amenities for the late nights when he finished his work at the shrine and went home.

🌹 During the Fatimiyyah commemorations (peace be upon her), he personally handled most tasks— from sweeping to serving tea.

Once, we had hired workers to clean the restrooms of the Bait al-Zahra (peace be upon her) venue. When he found out, he immediately went downstairs, stopped the workers, and sent them all away! He locked the door and began cleaning himself.

After a while, he came out, took a deep breath, and said with a smile:
"Finally! I was able to offer some service to the mourners of Lady Zahra (peace be upon her)."

Martyr General Qassem Soleimani:

"If in any elevation or status a person attains—whether it be a position of authority, material wealth, or knowledge—there is no humility, no self-effacement, then it breeds arrogance, pride, and rebellion (Taghut)."

Key Lessons:
1️⃣ Elevation without humility leads to destruction.
2️⃣ Power + Ego = Taghut (Tyranny).
3️⃣ True greatness lies in servitude, not dominance.

🌟 The First Act of Rebellion: Iblis vs. Adam (AS) 🌟

Once upon a time, in the heavenly realms, God created Adam (peace be upon him). As Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrates, Adam remained in a sculpted form for forty years before being fully completed. During this time, Iblis, the cursed one, would pass by and murmur to himself: “For what purpose has he been created?” (Al-‘Araf 7:13; Farat al-Kufi, p.56)

When Adam was fully formed, God breathed the soul into him. As the soul reached his mind, Adam sneezed, saying “Alhamdulillah” — a moment met with God’s mercy: “May God have mercy on you” (Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq, Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.11, p.141).

Then God commanded the angels: “Prostrate before Adam”. The angels obeyed, but Iblis refused. When asked, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” he arrogantly replied:
"I am better than him; You created me from fire and created him from clay" (Al-A‘raf 7:12).

This was the first act of rebellion, and as Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq explains, pride became the root of disobedience. God then said: “Descend from here; you have no right to be arrogant here. You are among the despised” (Al-A‘raf 7:13).

Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq further clarifies that God elevated Adam above Iblis just as He granted preference to the Five Pure Ones (Ahl al-Kisa) and their true followers. Iblis would never gain authority over them or their devoted Shi’a. This exception is why the cursed one boasts that he will mislead all except God’s sincere servants (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.5, p.42; Farat al-Kufi, p.56).

Moreover, Imam Sadiq emphasizes the peril of comparing worldly or spiritual matters with one’s own reasoning: Iblis’ first mistake was his wrongful analogy, thinking fire is superior to clay. If he had understood the divine essence within Adam, he would have recognized the greater light and purity within him (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.11, p.147).

Even scholars like Abu Hanifa were warned against relying on personal analogy in religion, as the first comparator was Iblis himself, who erred gravely by saying: “I am better than him” (Wasail al-Shi’a, Vol.27, p.55; Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.2, p.288).

This story reminds us that obedience, humility, and sincere devotion to God are above all forms of pride and false comparison. It also connects us to the divine guidance and the chosen family of God, whose followers are protected from Iblis’ deception.

🌿 The Prophet’s Five Eternal Sunnahs 🌿

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated:

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
There are five things I shall never abandon until my death:
eating upon the ground with servants,
riding a donkey with a simple saddle,
milking the goat with my own hands,
wearing garments of wool,
and greeting children —
so that these acts remain a Sunnah after me.”
(Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 5, p. 76 | Mustadrak al-Wasā’il, vol. 12, p. 62)

🌸 These are not mere gestures — they are the Prophet’s (ﷺ) lifelong lessons in humility, simplicity, and love for all creation.
To eat with the lowly, to ride simply, to work by one’s own hands, to dress modestly, and to honor the innocent hearts of children — these are signs of a heart truly near to Allah.

💫 True greatness is not in power or luxury, but in humility and compassion that reflect divine light.

🌿 The Hidden Chain of Vices

When a person becomes entangled in immoral traits and vices, each one opens the door for another. One evil quality gives birth to the next.

For example, arrogance often leads to stinginess.
A proud person, overwhelmed by self-importance, begins to believe that what he owns belongs solely to him — that others are not worthy of sharing in his blessings. He sees himself as superior, even in material things.

In Islamic narrations, we find that “the stingy one is even stingy with his greetings.”
You may have seen such a person: when you approach him, he waits for you to say Salam first. If he is forced to reply, you barely hear it — perhaps just a nod of the head. This is a subtle form of miserliness, rooted in arrogance.

To break the horns of pride, one must initiate greetings with everyone, regardless of their status.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for this — no one ever greeted him before he greeted them first.

This simple act of saying Salam is a powerful cure for arrogance and a path to humility. 🌸

🌿 True Greatness Lies in Grace, Not in Power 🌿

It’s not an honor if no one can outsmart your tongue,
or challenge your arrogance, cunning, or strength.
That’s not greatness — that’s ego.

✨ True honor is when no one can surpass your wisdom,
your modesty, your kindness, and your grace.
It’s when your humility speaks louder than your pride.

To live in a way that you don’t hurt others —
that’s a rare art, a true power,
a gift not everyone possesses.

Remember: 🌸
God watches how you treat His servants —
and treats you the same way in return.

Honor and disgrace both rest in His hands.

So be gentle, be kind,
because whatever you give,
will come back to you — unfailingly.

🕰️ The A'raf: The Full Assembly & The Final Distinction | Part 4 🕰️ In this part, we explore the complete assembly on the A'raf and address a profound theological question. --- 👥 The Complete Assembly on the A'raf The narrations specify the exalted individuals…
🎯 The A'raf: Your Eternal Destiny & The Call to Action | Final Part 🎯

In this final part, we conclude our profound journey into the meaning of the A'raf, drawing practical lessons for our lives today.

---

🌐 The Six Groups of Humanity

Imam al-Sadiq (as) provides a comprehensive overview of humanity's fate:

"People are of six categories, which ultimately boil down to three: Faith, Disbelief, and Misguidance. They are the people of the two promises (Paradise and Hell) – the believers and the disbelievers. Then there are the Mustad'afun (the oppressed and weak), those left awaiting Allah's command, those who confess their sins having mixed good and bad deeds, and the People of A'raf."

This clarifies that the scene on the A'raf is for a specific group whose scales are balanced, awaiting the intercession of their Masters.

---

⚖️ The People of Balanced Scales

Imam al-Sadiq (as) defines the "Companions of A'raf" precisely:

"They are a people whose good deeds and bad deeds are equal. If He admits them to the Fire, it is due to their sins; and if He admits them to Paradise, it is due to His Mercy."

This is the ultimate manifestation of Divine Justice intertwined with Divine Mercy. Their salvation hinges on the connection they built with the Ahlul Bayt (as).

---

🤝 A Warning Against Hasty Judgment

The encounter between Imam al-Baqir (as) and Zurarah is a powerful lesson. When Zurarah presented a rigid, binary view of faith, the Imam (as) corrected him by listing the various groups from the Quran who don't fit this mold, including the People of A'raf, the Mustad'afun, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled.

💡 The Lesson: We must avoid judging people hastily and writing them off. Only the Masters of A'raf have the ultimate authority to recognize and judge. Our duty is to love, invite, and hope for Allah's mercy for all.

---

🌟 The Most Honorable of Creation

When asked, "Who are the people of A'raf?" Imam al-Baqir (as) gave a sublime answer:

"They are the most honorable of creation in the sight of Allah."

This is the highest status. They are not merely judges; they are the most beloved and honored servants of Allah, stationed at the most critical junction of the Hereafter.

---

🕊️ The Mark of the Humble

Imam al-Sadiq (as) connects this cosmic reality to a personal virtue:

"The humble people have a mark that the angels in the heavens and the knowers ('Arifin) on earth recognize. Allah says: 'And on the A'raf are men who recognize everyone by their marks.'"

🔄 The Connection: The "mark" that the Ahlul Bayt (as) will see on the Day of Judgment begins to form right here in this world. True humility and love for them etches a luminous mark on your soul, a mark that the angels and the pure in heart can perceive even now.

---

🏁 Conclusion: The Final Triumph & Our Responsibility

The scene concludes with the ultimate triumph of the lovers of the Ahlul Bayt (as). As the Ahlul Bayt (as) address their enemies in the Fire, they declare:

"Are these not my Shi'a and my brothers, about whom you used to swear in the world that Allah's mercy would never reach them?"

This is the final victory. The love you hold in your heart today is the very thing your enemies mocked. On that Day, it will be your salvation and their utter humiliation.

Your takeaway is clear:

1. Strengthen your recognition of the Ahlul Bayt (as) through knowledge.
2. Nurture a sincere, humble love for them in your heart.
3. Avoid arrogance and hasty judgment of others.
4. Live in hope of Allah's mercy and their intercession.

Build your connection to the Masters of the A'raf now, so that on that Day, they will recognize you by your mark, take your hand, and lead you across the Sirat into the eternal peace of Paradise.

The series on the A'raf concludes. May Allah include us among those recognized by Muhammad and his Pure Family. 🤲

🔸The Correct Method of Managing Subordinates from a Religious Perspective🔸

In #Religious_Management, you must first accustom your subordinates to #Respectfulness—in such a way that the more respect you show them, the more their obedience increases. In the Islamic system, a manager must enhance the capacity of their subordinates to accept respect. This is the Islamic method of management.

In the first year of a child’s life, eating a single pomegranate seed might cause diarrhea! Yet, the same child, who initially couldn’t digest even one seed, will, after some time, be able to eat an entire pomegranate without any discomfort.

If we operate based on a system of #Belittlement, the first time we try to deviate from this approach and adopt correct principles, we will naturally face resistance. When we show respect to someone unaccustomed to it, due to its novelty, it may lead to arrogance, and subsequently, disorder. However, if we familiarize and acquaint them with this "nourishment," just as a single pomegranate seed once disrupted their temperament, they will eventually reach a point where even eating two whole pomegranates will have no adverse effect on them.

At first, respect may instill #Pride in someone who has never experienced it. But for someone accustomed to such treatment, it not only does not foster pride but rather cultivates #Humility! Therefore, we must not fear taking the first step in showing respect, as it is natural for the initial steps to have such effects.

🔺 Two Meters of Calico!
▫️Hojatoleslam Sheikh Mahdi Ansari
recounts:

🔹 One morning, I went with Allamah Jafari to buy bread 🍞. A porter came, put down his load, and said: "Gentlemen, could one of you help me lift this onto my shoulder?"

🔸 The late Jafari stepped forward and lifted the load. The old man bowed his head and said: "Place it a little higher so it rests on my head."

▪️ Mr. Jafari said: "Your head, like mine, has no hair. This load will put pressure on your head."
▫️The porter replied: "What can I do? God has willed my livelihood and worldly life to be this way... It's alright."

▪️ Mr. Jafari told him: "Put the load down." Then he took off his own turban and placed it on the porter's head, saying: "Now put the load on your head!"
▫️The porter said: "Sir, this is your turban!"

▪️ He replied in his Azeri accent: "Go on, dear! This is just two meters of calico—where was the turban? May God purify the heart."

🌀 I took off my own turban and gave it to Mr. Jafari so his head would not be bare.

🔻 He said to me: "You are young, and such temptations may come to you. We have passed that stage, and God had mercy on us—and may He continue to bless us until the end."

An unforgettable lesson in humility, compassion, and true dignity.
