Ayatollah Fatemi-Nia:
The son of one of the great scholars once asked his father, "You, who are a sea of knowledge, if you were to give one piece of advice, what would it be?"
He lowered his head for a while and then said, "Do not take away someone's dignity!"
My dear ones, Islam wants to preserve the dignity of individuals! Let's not easily tarnish the dignity of others! The sin of dishonoring others is so vile that its perpetrators sometimes cannot even repent!

It has been said that: "Someone whose two days are equal has incurred a loss." Now, what about someone whose two years are equal? And what about someone whose this year is worse than last year? We must make a calculation of ourselves and see if last year was better than the year before or not, and where our faults have been.

πΈ God Places It Before You So You May See and Reflect πΈ
β€οΈ Have you ever seen a #lover and a #beloved? Have you noticed how they look at each other? Each one of them is so #careful, making sure they present themselves in such a way that if the other looks, they will see no flaw or fault. How much time they spend in front of the mirror to fix themselves! How much attention they pay to their clothes β the same person who once didnβt care much about how they dressed suddenly becomes someone else once they fall #in_love. They want to turn everything they have into something beautiful to wear, to put on fragrance, to polish their shoes!
β€οΈ Seeing these things is #important β because a person can #learn_something from them. These scenes and these relationships carry a message. God places them in your path so that you look at them β and suddenly #reflect and ask yourself: Could it be that God, too, wants to have such an intimate secret with us?

π£ A short, sharp story from Ostad Qaraati β about unity, common ground, and a cheeky question
I hope this little talk finds its way into your phones β like that one minute I once spoke in Pakistan and it spread. A brief memory, but full of meaning.
Ostad Qaraati recounts: some religious leaders from several countries came to Iran β a mix of officials: a head of endowments, a capital-city imam, heads of seminariesβ¦ they met with senior scholars in Qom and Mashhad. I was invited to join one of the last-minute sessions. Iβm only a humble student, I told them, but maybe I can offer a fresh word in preaching and exegesis β so I went.
At the end we talked about Imam al-Mahdi. One guest said: βHe is the Imam of the End Times β when he comes the world will be filled with justice.β (This is a belief many Muslims share across schools β even among those who differ on many other points.)
I replied with a smile and a question:
βIf you accept that the Mahdi is the savior who will fill the earth with justice β then why wait? Why not βelectβ a Mahdi now, like we elect a president? Letβs choose someone, vote him in, and make him the Imam who establishes justice β why delay?β
They laughed. Then I asked:
βHow did you pick the first Imam? If you claim the right to appoint leaders, as you did at the start, then why not appoint the Mahdi as well? Or is there something different about that claim?β
A simple, provocative point β not to mock, but to open a door: our shared beliefs about justice, the Mahdi, prayer, pilgrimage, and many foundations of faith are stronger common ground than our disagreements. If we focus on those shared roots, perhaps the path to mutual understanding becomes clearer.
