🇩🇪 German Woman’s Journey to Islam: From Searching to Inner Peace

✅ “Six months after moving to Dubai, I said the Shahada and embraced Islam by wearing the hijab.”

She spent years searching for peace, trying to fill the emptiness in her life with social gatherings and friendships. But true tranquility remained elusive—until she encountered Islam.

🔹 Raised around Muslims, her older brother had already embraced Islam and married a Turkish Muslim woman. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Dubai at 30 that she began to observe the beauty of the Muslim way of life.

🔹 At first, she distanced herself from Muslims and mainly socialized with Europeans, but over time, she grew fond of the warmth, respect, and security in the Muslim community.

🔹 Facing immense pressure from her past friends and family, she remained steadfast in her faith, despite their attempts to make her renounce Islam. Reading the Qur’an became her source of strength and peace.

🔹 She vividly recalls a time when she and her friend mocked Muslims for attending Friday prayers, viewing them as a security threat. Now, looking back, she wonders: “Why did we think that way? Why did we fear their communal prayer?”

🔹 Despite a difficult year filled with rejection, one friend, Kate, stood by her side, offering unwavering support—even though she herself was not Muslim.

🔹 Now, years later, she is happily married in Dubai, living a life filled with faith, respect, and tranquility—something she had been searching for all along.

🔺 Christopher Mix: A Journey to Islam

I am incredibly blessed to have been guided to Islam.

According to Rahyafte (a comprehensive platform for missionaries and new Muslims), Palestinian martyr Khaled Al-Nabhan, a grandfather known for the phrase "روح الروح" (Spirit of my Soul) to describe his beloved grandchild, never imagined that his words would impact so many lives across the globe, even changing lives thousands of kilometers away. One of those whose life changed due to these words was an American named Christopher Mix.

Christopher, residing in California, shared his story with Al Jazeera Mubasher about how Khaled Al-Nabhan's words impacted him and ultimately led him to embrace Islam.

A Deep Emotional Awakening
In October 2023, Christopher became deeply aware of the daily suffering of the Palestinian people. He describes: “My heart broke again and again. I’ve never felt such deep sorrow or cried so much.”

He felt a profound sense of guilt: “Seeing bombs sent by my country to Israel and witnessing the bodies of innocent people torn apart in Gaza filled me with guilt and shame, and I felt helpless. I tried to suppress these indescribable emotions, but it only made things worse.”

Turning Point: A Profound Impact from a Painful Moment
Christopher’s life transformation occurred two months after the start of Israel’s war on Gaza, in December 2023. He recounts: “I saw an elderly man with a white beard holding the lifeless body of a small girl. He lovingly touched her face with his beard and thanked God. I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much as I did at that moment.”

He adds: “While thoughts about this great faith were forming in my mind, feelings of sorrow, anger, hatred, and guilt overwhelmed me. I wondered, what could I do to show sympathy for this man? How could I say I’m sorry?”

The First Step Towards the Mosque and Islam
To find peace, someone suggested Christopher visit the mosque and pray for Gaza. He recalls: “An internet user suggested I go to the mosque and pray for Gaza. Years ago, I stopped identifying as Christian, but I still believed in God. So, I decided to give it a try.”

His first experience at the mosque was nerve-wracking but meaningful: “I was very nervous, but I had nothing to lose. When I entered the mosque, I started praying. When I saw others prostrating, I put my head to the ground. I felt like many eyes were on me, but I didn’t care because I wasn’t there for them.”

He continues: “I clearly remember my first prayer. I started crying while praying for those I saw suffering. I immediately felt a peace I had never experienced before—a peace I had been searching for all my life in different churches and religions.”

Embracing Islam and Beginning a New Path
A few weeks later, on January 12, 2024, Christopher embraced Islam. He says: “After several weeks of daily visits to the mosque, I recited the Shahada. The brothers here embraced me with open arms. I truly feel like I belong here, and I am so fortunate to have been guided to Islam.”

He concludes his story by honoring Khaled Al-Nabhan: “It all started with Uncle Khaled. He is my ‘روح الروح.’ I pray to God that he grants him the highest ranks of paradise.”

Khaled Al-Nabhan was martyred on December 16, 2023, due to an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. His phrase “روح الروح,” which he said to his granddaughter Rima during their farewell, became famous after her martyrdom in November 2023.

Newly Converted American Muslim: Hazrat Abbas (AS) Became My Hero

Reported by Rahyafte (Comprehensive Platform for Preachers and New Muslims)

A newly converted American Muslim has expressed his deep admiration for Hazrat Abal-Fadl Al-Abbas (AS), recalling the heroism and sacrifice of the standard-bearer of Karbala. Azam Naseem Johnson, in a post on his Facebook page, shared his first encounter with the story of Karbala.

He wrote:

"I remember when I first studied the events of Karbala, the first character I came across was Abbas (AS). I read how Abbas (AS) went to fetch water and how he was ruthlessly killed, and how, until the last moment, he tried to deliver the water to his family! I don’t know what happened, but for a while, I forgot his name. However, I never forgot his loyalty to his family, nor the strength and determination he exerted for success. His sacrifice will always remain in my heart. Abbas (AS) became my hero. Please, in your prayers, ask God to grant me that same resolve and determination in His path. Subhanallah!"

This beautiful reflection of devotion and admiration for Hazrat Abbas (AS) highlights the profound impact of his character, even inspiring those from outside the Muslim world. May Allah grant all of us the courage and faith to follow in the footsteps of such noble figures.

🔺 Maryam (Nikita), the Native American Revert: "Islam has so many beautiful and astonishing teachings that I don’t even know where to begin. One of the most fascinating aspects is the Names of the Merciful God, each reflecting one of His magnificent attributes."…
As for the issue of hijab, I initially wore a simple headscarf, much like what was worn in Christian traditions. However, since the Trump administration, there have been challenges in public spaces, where I’ve been labeled as "unclean" just for wearing my hijab. I believe that more people need to be educated about the beauty and wisdom behind modesty in Islam.

In the United States, particularly in major cities, there are many Muslims, especially Native Americans who have converted. However, in smaller towns, Muslims often face discrimination or misunderstanding. The most powerful thing I have learned through my conversion is that Islam brings peace, simplicity, and a sense of purpose to life. It’s a faith that calls for unity, humility, and dedication to Allah.

Women, I believe, have the most significant role in spreading the true message of Islam, as long as they represent it with clarity, strength, and grace. Despite all the challenges ahead, Islam is a beacon of light for those who seek the truth.

May Allah guide us all in our journey, and may we always remain steadfast in our faith. 🌙

📢 "My Parents Tried to Turn Me Away from Islam"

👤 A Chinese Muslim Convert

I was born and raised in a Chinese family in Malaysia, where my parents spoke Cantonese and placed great importance on honoring our Chinese ancestors. We followed many traditional Chinese rituals and ceremonies throughout the year. However, most of my neighbors and friends were Muslims, so I grew up witnessing their faith, watching them pray, and observing their fasting during Ramadan.

By the age of 15, curiosity led me to explore the religion that surrounded me.

"I Felt Upset While Reading the Quran"

I started asking my Muslim friends questions, and they always welcomed me with open arms, patiently answering everything. One day, a friend gave me a Malay translation of the Quran.

As I began reading, I felt upset and confused—why did God say that disbelievers wouldn't enter paradise? I was a good person, I thought. Why wouldn't I be accepted?

My friend introduced me to an Islamic scholar, and after several meetings, he patiently answered all my doubts.

"Am I Not Your Lord?"

The scholar explained Allah’s mercy and how He created us. He spoke about the moment when souls were created, and Allah asked:
"Am I not your Lord?"
And the souls responded: "Yes, You are!"

This profound truth made me reflect deeply, inspiring me to continue learning about Islam. Eventually, I decided to renew my covenant with Allah and embrace Islam.

I shared my decision with my best friend, who was overjoyed. A few days later, in the presence of an imam at a mosque, I declared my shahada.

"My Parents Tried to Turn Me Away from Islam"

At first, I kept my conversion a secret, but soon I realized I had to tell my parents. They were not happy—my father was furious and accused me of betraying my Chinese identity and our ancestors.

Those months were extremely difficult. My parents tried everything to make me abandon Islam.

❌ They cooked pork every day.
❌ They encouraged me to drink alcohol.
❌ They forbade me from praying at home.
❌ They ripped off my hijab whenever I tried to wear it outside.

It was a painful struggle, but I stayed firm in my faith.

Leaving Home

I tried to be patient, respectful, and kind, as Islam teaches honoring parents. But I couldn’t trade Allah’s love for my parents' approval.

One day, I decided to leave home.

I told my best friend, and she assured me that the Muslim community would support me. Though my heart was heavy, it was also filled with light. I left home in tears but smiling, knowing Allah was guiding me.

For the next three months, I lived with different Muslim friends. Alhamdulillah, the Muslim community embraced me, even supporting me financially so I could complete my first-year university studies.

"A Family of My Own"

Years later, I tried to reconnect with my parents, but they refused to answer my calls or messages. When I finally visited them, my father simply asked:
"Why did you come back?"

He didn’t invite me inside, so I left. I continue to pray for their guidance, hoping one day, Allah will open their hearts as He did mine.

I have never regretted embracing Islam because I have found the truth.

Alhamdulillah, two years ago, I got married, and Allah blessed me with a baby boy. Now, I have a family of my own—and inshaAllah, one day, my parents will open their doors to me again.
Ameen. 🤲

🌍 From Idol Worship to the Light of Shia Islam — The Story of Sheikh Muhammad Karauma Lagza from Ghana

🕊️ Born into an idol-worshiping family in northern Ghana, Sheikh Muhammad Karauma Lagza spent his youth devoted to the rituals of ignorance — yet his heart was never at peace. He often mocked idol worship, calling it meaningless, and for that, he was beaten and ostracized. Seeking truth, he turned to Christianity, where for the first time he heard the name Muhammad (peace be upon him) — the Final Messenger of God.

📖 A Christian scholar once told him honestly:

“Christianity cannot lead you to salvation. Islam is the true religion.”

That simple sentence changed everything. He embraced Islam and became a Muslim — but soon found himself among Wahhabis. Shocked by their violence and sectarianism, he turned toward the Sufi Tijani path. Still, questions remained in his heart.

⚡ Then came 1979 — the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
While Wahhabi preachers warned, “Beware! Shia are corrupt and dangerous,” his curiosity only grew. He visited the Iranian embassy in Ghana, received books, and realized that the teachings of the Shia school were closer to the Prophet’s true message.

Yet doubts lingered — until one extraordinary night.
🌙 He dreamt of Imam Khomeini, who told him:

“Do not be afraid. The path you have chosen is right. You have sought the truth with sincerity. Even if you die on this path, God will reward you.”

He woke with peace in his heart — certain that Shia Islam was the final and complete path of faith.

📚 Determined to learn more, he traveled to India, then to Iran, where he studied Farsi in Najafabad and continued his religious education in Qom. When he returned to Ghana, he transformed his two poultry farms into seminaries and began teaching the Shia faith.

🌺 Within five years, his entire family, tribe, and several neighboring villages embraced Shia Islam.
But his success came at a cost — the Saudi ambassador in Ghana allegedly declared a $50,000 bounty on his head. Wahhabi extremists attempted to assassinate him, and only by divine grace — and a warning phone call from his wife — did he escape death.

Now living under threat, Sheikh Lagza continues his mission, carrying the message of truth and unity that once reached his heart through the light of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the guidance of Imam Khomeini.

✨ “Do not fear,” the Imam said in his dream. “You are on the right path.”
And indeed, that path led him — and hundreds of others — from darkness to divine light.

🌙 From the Gospel to the Qur’an: A Journey of Guidance and Faith

A recently converted Muslim shared her story about how her spiritual journey took her from the Gospel to the Qur’an, revealing a profound transformation in understanding, faith, and inner peace.

📖 The Initial Attraction to the Gospel

She grew up reading the Bible, fascinated by its stories of creation and the lives of prophets. She appreciated many verses and narratives, finding it easier to read than the Qur’an initially. However, she also noticed contradictions and complexities that troubled her, especially around the concept of the Trinity:

“Jesus is both fully God and fully human, yet He prays to the Father and submits… I couldn’t understand this.”

Other issues arose from verses like John 14, where Jesus refers to the Father as superior. These theological dilemmas and the complexities of interpreting law and commandments in the New Testament left her with unanswered questions.

🔹 The Qur’an: A Guiding Light

The Qur’an, she realized, is fundamentally different: it is guidance, a clear path toward Allah. Unlike the Bible, which narrates events and stories, the Qur’an speaks directly to the heart and mind, guiding readers toward truth, accountability, and spiritual growth.

She describes the experience of reading the Qur’an:

“At first it was hard to understand, especially coming from the Bible. But after spending time with Muslims, learning the context, and revisiting the text, it became clearer. Reading it carefully and reflecting on the meaning was enlightening. I felt guided and reassured by its teachings.”

The Qur’an emphasized monotheism and direct accountability:

“There is no god but Allah. No false deity exists; only one God exists… He is near, merciful, and forgiving.”

This clarity, simplicity, and depth deeply resonated with her.

💗 Lessons That Touched Her Heart

1. Repentance and God’s Nearness – Unlike some ambiguities she faced in the Gospel, the Qur’an’s teachings on Tawbah (repentance) and Allah’s closeness brought her inner peace and guidance.

2. Accountability and Justice – She realized the Qur’an’s emphasis on personal responsibility and divine justice provided a moral and spiritual framework that made sense.

3. Clarity of Faith – The Qur’an’s message of oneness and guidance simplified her understanding of God, in contrast to theological complexities she struggled with in the Trinity.

✨ The Moment of Decision

In the week before embracing Islam, she reflected deeply on the differences:

• Christianity emphasized belief in Christ’s divinity and resurrection as the sole path to salvation.

• Islam emphasized understanding the truth, following the guidance shown, and living a life of submission to Allah.

“I felt drawn to the Qur’an’s beauty, its clear path, and the certainty that God is always present, merciful, and forgiving. I realized the Qur’an guides toward the right path and Allah’s closeness.”

🌹 Final Thoughts

She concludes:

“I cannot speak much about the Qur’an yet, as I am still learning. But I feel it is immensely beautiful, and I love it. The Qur’an is different from the Gospel because it guides, shows the right way, and leads to Allah.”

🇫🇷✨ “Love for Lady Fatimah (SA) Led Me to Islam” — A French Woman’s Journey to Faith 🌹

🕊️ “With Islam, I finally found peace,” says Annie Taxi, a French woman who recently embraced Islam. Her journey began not with books or debates, but with love — love for Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA), the noble daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“It was the love and admiration for Lady Fatimah (SA) that changed the course of my life,” Annie explains. “Through her, I discovered Islam and the path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).”

🌸 The Light of Lady Fatimah (SA)

Annie shares that the steadfastness and strength of Lady Fatimah (SA) deeply inspired her:

“When you study her life, you learn devotion to faith, true love for one’s husband, perfect motherhood, and pure love of God. She endured immense hardship during the early days of Islam, yet remained by her father’s side. The Prophet honored her as ‘Umm Abiha’ — the mother of her father.”

📖 From a Christian Home to the Qur’an

Born and raised in a Christian family in France, Annie had little direct exposure to Islam. However, after meeting her Muslim husband, she began to see a different image of Islam — one of mercy, discipline, and inner peace.

“Despite the false portrayals of Islam in Western media, I wanted to discover the truth for myself. I read the Qur’an — not once, but twice — and studied it deeply to understand its message. Then I realized why God revealed the Qur’an after the Torah and the Gospel.”

She found in the Qur’an a balance that other scriptures lacked:

“In the Torah, logic and decision-making are emphasized; in the Gospel, it’s the heart and emotions. But the Qur’an connects both — intellect and heart work together in harmony. That balance convinced me that Islam is the perfect and complete path.”

❤️ Choosing Islam with Awareness

Annie stresses that her conversion was entirely a conscious, personal choice:

“I embraced Islam not because someone forced me, but because my mind and heart both led me there. I wanted to be closer to God, to live with truth and purpose.”

Since becoming Muslim, Annie says her life has been filled with peace and joy:

“Whenever I face difficulties, I open the Qur’an — and I find the answer. It truly has guidance for every matter in life. If someone doesn’t find answers there, it’s only because they haven’t read it carefully.”

🌺 A Message to the World

She adds that many in France still know little about Islam:

“Most people here only know Islam from the news, not from experience. If they studied it sincerely, they would discover its beauty as I did.”

🕊️ Annie’s story reminds us that the love of Lady Fatimah (SA) still transforms hearts across the world — her light continues to guide seekers of truth to the path of God. 🌙

🌟 Maria Farasis: An Italian Woman's Journey to Islam 🌟
https://rahyafteha.ir/102934/

Maria Farasis, an Italian woman who embraced Islam, shares her inspiring story of discovering faith and finding true dignity for women in a religion she calls "complete and comprehensive."

🧕 From Curiosity to Conversion

· 20 years ago, Maria knew nothing about Islam and felt dissatisfied with her lifestyle
· Her journey began when she met her Iranian husband, who introduced her to Persian culture and Islamic civilization
· Through studying books about Iran and Islam, she discovered the connections between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism
· "Islam is a complete religion that has clear answers for all life's needs," Maria explains

💫 Why Islam? The Dignity of Women

· "One of my criteria for becoming Muslim was preserving women's dignity and self-respect"
· "While in Western culture a woman is a tool, Islam has given women status"
· "In Western countries, women who choose to not cover lose their character, modesty, and chastity"
· "In Islam, women's modesty and virtue are preserved"

🛡️ Resisting Western Cultural Invasion

Maria warns about Western efforts to undermine Islamic values:

· "The enemies are trying to impose Western lifestyle on Iranian men and women through various tools like cinema"
· "Women in the West have become instruments and tools - we must ensure this doesn't happen in Iran"
· "To stop Western influence, domestic clothing production should be strengthened and promoted"

🧭 Finding Her Path to Shiism

· Maria expresses gratitude for meeting a Shia man that facilitated her journey to Islam
· "The school of Imam Hussein (AS) played a significant role in my becoming Shia"
· Despite initial challenges with hijab in hot weather, she found joy in being respected as a person rather than being viewed as an object

⚠️ A Warning About Cultural Changes

Having visited Iran for 20 years, Maria observes:

· "In my opinion, Iran has changed - Westerners have transferred their culture to this country"
· "When I see some young girls and boys, it's like I'm facing American youth"
· "Clothing should give value to humans, not take away their value - this is important for society"

Maria's journey reminds us that Islam offers women genuine dignity in a world that often reduces them to objects. Her story is a testament to the power of Islamic values in an increasingly materialistic world.

🌟 A Journey of Light: From Costa Rica to the Holy Shrine 🌟

Marcela Vargas-Santamaria, a 23-year-old from Limón, Costa Rica, grew up in a small Christian family. Her life took a beautiful turn when she met an Iranian student while studying in South Korea. 🌏

Through their friendship, she began learning about Islam—a faith she had never explored before. ✨

Her path led her to Iran, to the blessed city of Mashhad. Visiting the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and hearing about his miracles deepened her reflection and strengthened her heart's pull toward Islam. 🕋❤️

Despite media-fueled fears, stepping onto Iranian soil melted her worries away. She felt peace, warmth, and truth. 🤲

The Day of Hijab
The day she wore the hijab was filled with emotion. She read the Quran line by line, asked questions, and felt her heart opening wider with each verse. 📖💫

A Mourner in Muharram
During Muharram 2014, she witnessed the passionate mourning processions in Mashhad. Though initially unsure about the black chador, she respectfully wore one to enter the shrine—and was moved by the spiritual atmosphere. 🖤

Her Declaration of Faith
In a ceremony held in one of the shrine's courtyards, surrounded by devoted servants of the shrine, Marcela embraced Islam and chose the name “Reihaneh.” 🌸

In her own words:
💬 “The one whose shrine is here is a true leader who guided me and will watch over my life. We believe the Imam of Kindness protects every heart and every life illuminated by the light of faith and Islam.”

🌟 From Germany to Guidance: The Journey of Marcus (Abdul Mahdi) 🌟

Marcus, now Abdul Mahdi, a German revert to Islam, shares his inspiring journey from Christianity to the light of the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

🌿 Early Life & Spiritual Search
Growing up in a Christian family of Croatian descent,Marcus always believed in God but found concepts like the Trinity confusing and distant. Religion was a cultural label rather than a guiding force in his life.

🕌 First Encounters with Islam
His curiosity about Islam grew over time— from visiting a mosque during school days to hearing the Adhan in Indonesia. The discipline of Muslims during Ramadan left a deep impression on him. But it was after returning to Germany, in a more Islamic environment, that his heart truly began to incline toward faith.

📖 The Turning Point
While studying,he began reading the Quran. Surah al-Ikhlas resonated deeply with what he already believed about God’s oneness. Small moments — like giving charity to an old Arab man on the street who prayed for him in Arabic — moved his soul. Then came his first prayer experience: after joining Maghrib prayers at the university prayer room, he felt filled with energy and peace.

🕋 Choosing the Path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)
He didn’t stop at Islam— he researched further. The book Sulaym ibn Qays opened his eyes to the truth of Imam Ali (AS) and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt. He realized that even Sunni sources held proofs of Imam Ali’s rightful leadership. Attending a Shi‘a gathering commemorating Lady Fatima (AS) deepened his conviction.

💬 In His Words:

“We follow the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), who are our guides, because the Imams are like a living Quran. If we hold onto the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt, we are on the true path — as declared at Ghadeer.”

🕊️ On Tolerance & Truth
While firm in his faith,Marcus believes in respectful dialogue with other Muslims — except Wahhabi extremists, whose behavior, he notes, contradicts the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings.

🙏 Gratitude
He thanks Allah for guiding him directly to the truth from the very beginning— a blessing he never takes for granted.

🌟 From Hinduism & Christianity to Islam & Shiaism: A Spiritual Odyssey

🌍 The Journey of Muhammad Ali Mahdi - A New Muslim from England

"Assalamu Alaikum. My name is Muhammad Ali Mahdi. I live in Birmingham, England. When I accepted Islam, I clearly found Shiaism to be the true Islam. Shia means the lover of Ahl al-Bayt. I hope my words do not offend anyone, but I am sharing my personal discovery. I hope those who listen do not have a misconception about Shia and Ahl al-Bayt."

🛤️ The Path of Seeking
Born in Birmingham,he was sent to his Hindu grandparents in India as a baby. Raised with prayers to Vishnu and Hindu scriptures, he later converted to Christianity with his grandparents. His initial view of Islam, shaped by media, was of a violent, sword-wielding faith. At 23, back in England, a sign for a "Shia Islamic Information Centre" caught his curious eye.

📚 The Discovery of Truth
Entering the centre,he requested books to study. He returned three months later, saying: "I know of no religion other than Islam that speaks about the true God and what God wants from man. Islam teaches us how to pray, how to praise God, and what God wants from us in life."

His main struggle with Christianity was the concept of the Trinity. "I could not accept that God is God, Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God, yet we have only one God. I could not have faith in something my intellect did not accept," he explains, highlighting the pivotal role of reason in his journey.

🕌 The Light of Guidance
A pamphlet by Imam Khomeini (ra) from the centre was a turning point. "I was very shocked because I had no good conception of Islam, and now I was faced with such excellent and humane content." This led him to read George Jordac's "Imam Ali: The Voice of Human Justice" and Nahj al-Balagha.

💎 The Core of His Belief
He studied various topics from Islamic and Christian perspectives, concluding: "There is no evidence for the authenticity of the Christian Bible. Different authors wrote it, and its translations are not accurate... The historical Jesus was a human, not God."

"Islam removed doubt from me, and now I have certainty in the One God—a God who is aware of all our affairs and is the only One who grants us His forgiveness and mercy. Alhamdulillah Rabbil 'Alameen."

📖 His Call to All:
He urges everyone to study Nahj al-Balagha, the life of Imam Ali (as), the Ahl al-Bayt, and the works of Islamic scholars. "Doubt is the precursor to certainty. Allow for the possibility that you may not have understood Jesus correctly, so engage in precise study about Christianity."
