🕊️ The Story of Martyr Edoardo Agnelli: The Billionaire Heir Who Chose Islam

🔹 Born into Italy's Wealthiest Family
On June 9, 1954, Edoardo Agnelli – the only son of Giovanni Agnelli (Italy and Europe's richest man) and Princess Marella Caracciolo – was born in New York. He inherited an empire including:

· Fiat, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Iveco
· Private banks, fashion houses, major newspapers
· Juventus Football Club
· Annual family income estimated at $60 billion (3 times Iran's oil revenue at the time)

🔹 The Divine Discovery
While studying at Princeton University, Edoardo found a Quran in the library:
"I started reading its verses in English. I felt these were luminous words that couldn't be human speech. I was deeply affected..."
Two years later, in 1976, he declared his Shahada at an Islamic center in New York, taking the name "Hisham Aziz."

🔹 Embracing Shi'ism
After watching Iranian diplomat Ghadiri Abiane's powerful TV debate in 1980, Edoardo visited him secretly on a second-hand scooter. After several meetings, he embraced Shia Islam and was renamed "Mahdi."

🔹 Meeting Imam Khomeini
During his 1981 visit to Iran, Imam Khomeini kissed his forehead – a transformative moment. Italian journalist Igormen wrote: "I think Khomeini had enchanted him!"

🔹 Activism and Persecution
He:

· Produced documentaries about Islamic countries
· Protested Israeli crimes in Palestine
· Confronted Salman Rushdie's Italian publisher
· Defended Imam Khomeini's fatwa

His family responded with:

· Economic restrictions (sometimes he couldn't afford taxi fare)
· Psychological torture
· False drug charges (framed in Kenya)
· Forced psychiatric hospitalization

🔹 The Mysterious Death
On November 15, 2000, his body was found beneath a bridge near Turin. Despite mysterious circumstances:

· No autopsy was performed
· Media immediately called it "suicide"
· Case was closed within days

He once prophesied: "They will say I fell sick, or that it was an accident... or that I committed suicide."

🌟 A Legacy of Faith Over Fortune
Edoardo Agnelli sacrificed everything – wealth, power, and ultimately his life – for the truth he found in Islam. His story remains an eternal testament that some truths are worth more than all the fortunes in the world.

🕊️ The Story of Martyr Edoardo Agnelli: The Billionaire Heir Who Chose Faith Over Fortune

🔹 Born into Italy's Wealthiest Family
On June 9, 1954, Edoardo Agnelli was born in New York—the heir to Giovanni Agnelli, a senator, industrialist, and one of Europe's wealthiest men. His mother, Princess Marella Caracciolo, was of Jewish aristocratic descent. From birth, Edoardo possessed everything many could only dream of.

🔹 A Spiritual Awakening
Though raised in a mixed Christian-Jewish household and educated in elite schools across Italy, the U.S., and England, Edoardo felt spiritually unfulfilled. While his father urged him to study industrial fields, his heart leaned toward philosophy, literature, and mysticism.

During his studies at Princeton University, he discovered the Quran in the library. He later recalled:
"As I read its verses in English, I felt these were luminous words that could not be of human origin—they had to be from God."
At just 20 years old, he embraced Islam.

🔹 A Life-Changing Encounter
In 1980, Edoardo watched a televised debate featuring Dr. Ghadiri Abiane, Iran's cultural attaché in Italy. Abiane began his speech with:
"In the name of God, who is more powerful than America’s naval fleet."
These words deeply moved Edoardo. Secretly, he visited the Iranian embassy and met Abiane—a meeting that marked the beginning of his journey toward Shia Islam.

🔹 Meeting Imam Khomeini
During a visit to Iran, Edoardo was granted an audience with Imam Khomeini. The Imam kissed his forehead—a gesture that left a profound spiritual impact on him. Italian journalist Igor Man later wrote:
"He spoke of Imam Khomeini as if enchanted by him."

🔹 Persecution and Conspiracy
Edoardo’s conversion and his vocal criticism of capitalism alarmed those around him. A systematic campaign was launched to tarnish his image:

· He was falsely accused of heroin trafficking in Kenya in 1990
· Media portrayed him as isolated, mentally unstable, and addicted
· He was gradually stripped of his inheritance rights at Fiat

🔹 A Voice of Conscience
In a 1998 interview with Manifesto, he declared:
"We live in an era of moral decay where the only idol is money. Money-worship is worse than drug addiction... Money should be a means, not an end."

🔹 A Mysterious Death
On November 15, 2000, Edoardo’s body was found beneath the Franco Romano bridge in Fossano. Officially ruled a suicide, countless inconsistencies suggest otherwise:

· No witnesses on a busy highway
· Missing CCTV footage from his home
· Rushed burial without proper investigation
· No autopsy performed

Italian journalist Giuseppe Popo later published a book detailing the suspicious circumstances, calling it a clear assassination.

🔹 Legacy: The Uncompromised Diamond
Edoardo once described himself as:
"A pure diamond—unmixed with any other element."
He chose faith over fortune, truth over privilege, and ultimately, martyrdom over compromise.

His father died in 2003, his mother in 2019—leaving behind an empire. But Edoardo left behind a legacy of faith that no wealth could ever match.

📌 Quoting the Quran:
"Is light equal to darkness?" (13:16)

♨️ Special Clip: The Martyrdom of Lady Fatima (SA) ♨️

"The grave of Fatima (SA) was made unknown, so that the worth of Ali (AS) would become known."

In the aftermath of Saqifa, a meeting held in the absence of Ali (AS), the unity of the Muslim Ummah was shattered—a division that persists to this day.
All tragedies trace back to that moment; every tear you shed connects to the stand Fatima (SA) took at her doorstep.

The victories of Ali (AS) and the rise of Fatima’s children are the fruits of her struggle.
Just as she ground wheat and barley with her own hands, she also strategized and paved the way for Ali’s leadership.

Why did Fatima (SA) remain alive after the Prophet (PBUH)?
To fulfill four vital missions:

1️⃣ She held the Fadak Sermon — a powerful courtroom of truth.
2️⃣ She stood at her door — a public protest against deviation.
3️⃣ She hosted night gatherings — awakening the faithful in secrecy.
4️⃣ She ensured Ali’s worth would be recognized — even if her own grave remained hidden.

Her hidden grave is not a sign of defeat — it is the ultimate proof of a truth too luminous to be buried.

🌹 Because sometimes, the most visible truth is the one they try hardest to hide.

🎬 The Untold Story of Edoardo Agnelli: A Documentary of Faith and Power 🎬

This is the incredible true story of a documentary that shook the foundations of power—a story of faith, wealth, and martyrdom.

📌 The Background:
Edoardo Agnelli first became familiar with the name Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri Abyaneh, former press attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Rome, after watching a television roundtable program. Intrigued by what he saw, he sought out Dr. Ghadiri, and just one week later, he arranged to meet him in person.
Born into immense privilege as the son of Gianni Agnelli—owner of Fiat and Juventus—Edoardo was raised by a Catholic father and a Zionist Jewish mother. Yet, through his conversations with Dr. Ghadiri, he found himself drawn toward a different path.

🕌 A New Path:
After several meetings, Edoardo embraced Shia Islam. He didn’t stop there.
Edoardo didn’t stop there. He traveled to Iran in 1981, met Imam Khomeini (RA), and even prayed Friday prayers behind the current Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. His conversion sent shockwaves through elite European circles.

⚰️ A Suspicious Death:
In the year 2000, Edoardo was found dead. Western media called it a suicide, but those who knew the truth understood: he was martyred for embracing the truth and challenging powerful interests.

🎥 The Documentary Is Born:
Inspired by Dr.Ghadiri’s statement declaring Edoardo a martyr, filmmaker Siavash Saramadi and producer Habibollah Kasasaz decided to produce a documentary about his life. They traveled to Turin, visited his grave—buried in a Christian cemetery despite being Muslim—and began filming.

🚨 Harassment & Arrest:
Italian authorities soon arrested the film crew, accusing them of terrorism. They were imprisoned without trial. A sham court sentenced them to expulsion from Italy and a 5-year ban from entering Europe.

🇮🇷 Censorship in Iran & Abroad:
Back in Iran, during President Khatami’s administration, the Foreign Ministry pressured IRIB not to broadcast the film. Meanwhile, Italian media imposed a total blackout on Edoardo’s story.

🛡️ Divine Support:
Despite threats—even an offer of millions of dollars to hand over the film—the creators refused. They wrote a letter to the Supreme Leader, who immediately ordered the documentary to be broadcast, preceded by a roundtable discussion to raise awareness.

🌍 A Global Impact:
The documentary was eventually translated into Arabic, English, French, German, Urdu, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, and more. It became a global phenomenon, with countless copies distributed worldwide.

🕊️ Edoardo Agnelli:
A man who left behind immense wealth for the wealth of faith—the richest Shi'a martyr in history.

🌱 Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) and Preserving the Sapling of Islam Amidst the Fire

A profound reflection shared by Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi 🕌:

During the time of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) 🤲, after many polytheist tribes were subdued, some declared Islam outwardly to protect their lives and wealth. Islamic law is concerned with the apparent; anyone who declared Islam was accepted. However, there were hypocrites who waited for an opportunity to assassinate the Prophet and eliminate true Muslims to restore idolatry.

The Prophet knew that if he pressured them excessively, they would rebel within the Islamic lands and idolatry would return. So, he applied pressure only to the point of preventing revolt, closely monitoring them. After his passing, as Dr. Beheshti’s historical research indicates, apart from Medina and parts of Mecca, many tribes apostatized.

Imam Ali (AS) ⚔️ faced a critical choice: If a conflict over leadership erupted in Medina while the outskirts had already been lost, Islam itself could have been wiped out, and idolatry would have returned. He saw two evils:

1. The most qualified leader being deprived of leadership.
2. The complete annihilation of the religion itself, erasing all the sacrifices and efforts.

He pondered: Which evil is greater? To fight and remove the unfit ruler—even if people later turn to polytheism—or to endure patiently, allowing long-term damage to Muslims but preserving the Quran and the essence of Islam?

He calculated and chose patience 🤲❤️. In Sermon of Shiqshiqiyyah, he says: "I remained patient despite having a thorn in my eye and a bone stuck in my throat." He saw people unfit to lead Islam taking charge, generation after generation. Yet, he said: "This is better than the religion being destroyed and people returning to idolatry." Would God send another Prophet with such patience, character, and strength to start again among the polytheists? If that were better, he would not have been the Seal of the Prophets.

So, he endured—but he was also vigilant 👁️. Whenever they consulted him for the benefit of Islam, he sincerely advised them. He interacted with such kindness and friendship that they would come to him for counsel without hesitation. For 25 years, he placed himself at their service, day and night, for the sake of preserving Islam.

Thus, the essence of Islam was preserved. The Islam that was once confined to Mecca and Medina, with shallow roots that could be easily uprooted by a single blow, was allowed to grow deep roots 🌳.

Imagine planting a sapling 🌱. Its initial roots are delicate; a slight shake can uproot it, and the whole plant dies. But if you wait patiently until it grows strong, you can later prune its branches, and its roots will remain firm. Early Islam was like that tender sapling. If a corrupt branch was removed hastily, the entire tree could have withered.

Imam Ali (AS) said: "We wait for now." He occasionally referenced past events in his speeches to remind people—without causing division or giving enemies an opportunity to exploit internal strife.

Even when someone like Abu Sufyan 🐍 knocked on his door during the days he was compiling the Quran, saying, "Ali, right is with you! Give me the order, and I will fill the desert with armies for you," Imam Ali (AS) recognized the plot. He replied: "O hypocrite, how long have you been Muslim?" He knew this was a scheme to incite conflict among Muslims so that hypocrites could later destroy Islam and restore idols.

He remained patient until, after 25 years, the people themselves came to him and asked him to rule.

The Journey of Edoardo Agnelli: From Italian Royalty to a Martyr for Truth 🕊️🇮🇹

On June 6, 1954, Edoardo Agnelli was born into one of Italy’s wealthiest families, often called the “royalty of Italy” 👑. His father was Senator Giovanni Agnelli, and his mother was a Jewish-born woman. Little did anyone know that this child’s insight and intuition would one day lead him from the land of disbelief and oppression to the path of Shia Islam.

He earned his doctorate in Philosophy of Religions and Eastern Civilizations from Princeton University in the United States 🎓. At the age of 20, by chance, his eyes fell upon the Holy Quran in a library 📖. With a mind full of questions, he read its translation and realized the divine nature of this book ✨.

After this life-changing moment, Edoardo went to an Islamic center in New York, where he formally announced his conversion to Islam, choosing the name Hisham Aziz 🤲. His first encounter with Shia Islam and the Islamic Revolution came through watching an interview with Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri Abyaneh, the press attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Italy 🎥.

After embracing Shia Islam, he chose the name Mahdi.

Mahdi traveled to Iran several times ✈️. His meeting with Imam Khomeini (RA) in April 1981 was a turning point in his life, strengthening his dedication to supporting the oppressed ⚖️. He openly condemned the crimes of the Zionists and even made phone calls to the Italian Prime Minister to defend the innocent people of Palestine 📞🇵🇸.

This Islamic awakening in someone from a family so globally renowned for wealth and political influence came at a high cost to the Zionists and global arrogance 💎⚡. Mahdi Agnelli himself predicted his own assassination, knowing they would kill him for embracing Islam ⚰️.

In the end, in a fabricated incident, his body was found under the Ponte Romano bridge beside a river 🌉. The Zionists did not want him to remain a living example of the radiant truth of Islam. So they killed him, thinking he would die—unaware that a martyr lives forever ☀️🕊️.

🌹 The Noble Lady of Sacrifice: Umm al-Banin (SA) 🌹

In the gardens of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), there blooms a flower of loyalty, courage, and motherly devotion: Umm al-Banin (SA), the wife of Imam Ali (AS) and the mother of the courageous Ab al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS) and his noble brothers.

She was not just a mother to her own sons—she was a mother to Imam Hussain (AS) and his family, loving them more than her own flesh and blood. Her heart was a sanctuary of faith, her loyalty a mountain of certainty.

When her four sons marched to Karbala with Imam Hussain (AS), she did not weep for their departure—she wept for Hussain (AS). And when news came of their martyrdom, her first question was: “Tell me about Hussain (AS).”

💔 Such was her love for the Imam (AS) that her own loss became secondary.

Her son, al-Abbas (AS), the flag-bearer of Karbala, the quencher of thirst, learned loyalty from her lap. She raised him not for herself, but for Hussain (AS).

📖 She teaches us:
True love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) means loving them above everything—even above our own children.
True loyalty means standing with the truth, even when it costs everything.

🌙 Today, we remember her not only as the mother of Abbas (AS), but as a symbol of faithful womanhood, unwavering loyalty, and selfless love in the path of Allah.

May peace be upon you, O Umm al-Banin, and upon your noble sons, the stars of Karbala.

🗣️ The Great Debate: How Allamah al-Hilli Led a Sultan to Shi’ism

In the court of Sultan Muhammad Khodabandeh (Öljaitü) of the Ilkhanate, a historical turning point took place—one that reshaped the religious landscape of Iran. The story is narrated by Muhammad Taqi al-Majlisi in his commentary on Man La Yahduruh al-Faqih, and echoed in works like A'yan al-Shia and Rawdat al-Jannat.

---

📖 The Background:
One day, in a fit of anger, the Sultan pronounced three divorces (ṭalāq al-thalāth) to his wife — a critical issue in Islamic law.

📌 What is “Three Divorces” (Ṭalāq al-Thalāth)?
It is a divorce pronounced by a husband three times. According to consensus among Shi‘a and Sunni jurists, a woman who has been divorced three times becomes ḥarām (forbidden) for her former husband to remarry — unless she first marries another man, and after that marriage ends (by divorce or death), she may then return to her first husband.

· Shi‘a View: A triple divorce must occur over three separate sessions — the husband must revoke (rujū‘) or remarry between each pronouncement. Pronouncing three divorces in one sitting is invalid.
· Sunni View: It is permissible to pronounce a triple divorce all at once.

The ruling is derived from Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 229-230.

After calming down, the Sultan deeply regretted his action and sought a religious solution. The Sunni scholars of the four schools were summoned, but none could offer a way to revoke the divorce.

Then, a minister mentioned a scholar who could solve the issue: Allamah al-Hilli (r.a.).

---

⚔️ The Debate Begins:
A grand assembly was held with scholars from all four Sunni schools present. When Allamah al-Hilli entered, he carried his own shoes and sat beside the Sultan.

When questioned about this unusual act, he replied humorously:
“I feared a Hanafi might steal them, just as their founder stole the Prophet’s (PBUH) sandal!”
The Hanafis protested: “Abu Hanifa wasn’t alive during the Prophet’s time!”
Allamah said: “My mistake—it must have been a Shafi’i!”
And so he repeated the jab for each school, exposing that none of the four founders lived during the Prophet’s era.

Then he turned to the Sultan and said:
“Sunni Muslims have innovated by choosing four imams after the Prophet—while we, the Shi’a, follow Ali (AS), the Prophet’s brother, successor, and the gate to the city of knowledge.”

---

⚖️ The Ruling on the Divorce:
Regarding the Sultan’s divorce, Allamah declared — based on Shi‘a jurisprudence:
“Your divorce is invalid. One condition for a valid triple divorce is the presence of two just witnesses who hear it. Did two just witnesses hear it?”
The Sultan said no.
“Then the divorce never occurred, and your wife is still lawful to you.”

---

🕯️ The Aftermath:
Allamah then engaged in deep theological debate with the Sunni scholars, answering every objection with clarity and proof. By the end, Sultan Muhammad Khodabandeh embraced Shi’ism right there in the assembly.
During his reign, he gave official recognition to the Shi’a faith, marking a pivotal moment in Iranian history.

---

🌟 Lessons from This Event:
✅ Knowledge coupled with courage can change history.
✅ Following the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) means following those directly linked to the Prophet’s legacy.
✅ Sometimes, divine guidance arrives through unexpected debates—and a pair of shoes.

🌹 Umm al-Banin (SA): The Mother of Loyalty & Sacrifice

She is the woman whose name means “Mother of Sons” — yet she raised those sons not for herself, but for Imam Husain (AS).
She is Umm al-Banin (SA), the wife of Imam Ali (AS) and mother of Abbas (AS), the flag-bearer of Karbala.

💧 Her Love Was for Husain (AS):
When her four sons left for Karbala, she did not weep for them — she wept for Husain (AS).
And when news of their martyrdom came, her first question was:
“Tell me about Husain.”

🕊️ The Mother Who Taught Loyalty:
In her lap, Abbas (AS) learned courage, loyalty, and the meaning of standing with truth until the last breath.
She raised not just sons — she raised standards of faith.

⚔️ Her Legacy in Karbala:
Her son, Abbas (AS), became the “Qamar Bani Hashim” — the moon of the Hashemites — who sacrificed his arms and life to bring water to the thirsty children of Imam Husain (AS).
That bravery was born from a mother’s heart — a heart that loved the Imam more than her own flesh and blood.

🌺 Lessons from Her Life:

· True love for the Ahl al-Bayt means putting them before everything.
· Loyalty is not just a word — it is action till the end.
· A mother’s dua can shape heroes who change history.

🕌 Her Sacred Shrine:
She is buried in Al-Baqīʿ Cemetery in Medina — a place of pilgrimage and prayers, where hearts still seek her intercession.

🌿 We Remember Her Today:
As a symbol of faithful motherhood, unwavering loyalty, and selfless love in the path of Allah.
Her story is not just history — it is a living lesson for every believer.

🤲 O Allah, send blessings upon Umm al-Banin, and grant us the loyalty and love she carried in her heart for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

🕊️ The Unknown Grave of Fatimah (AS)… To Reveal the Worth of Ali (AS) 🕌

“Her grave was hidden… so the value of Ali would be known.”

Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi (RA):

“The gathering of Saqifah was held while Ali (AS) was not there… Do you know what it brought upon the Islamic world? Muslims became divided… and remain divided to this day.
Just as Saqifah was the beginning, all sorrows trace back to it. All your tears trace back to Fatimah’s stand at the door.

💎 Ali’s victories are Fatimah’s children — they are her harvest.
Just as she ground wheat with her own hands to bake bread, she cultivated Ali’s triumph in the Battle of Jamal through her planning.

🪔 Fatimah did four things:
1️⃣ She held the Fadak assembly — to expose the truth.
2️⃣ She stood at her door — in protest.
3️⃣ She wept with such grief that they came to Ali (AS) saying: 'Tell her to cry at night and be calm by day, or cry by day and rest at night.'
4️⃣ She saw how Saqifah had overturned everything… so she told Ali:
'Wash me at night. Shroud me at night. Hold my funeral at night. Bury me at night.'

🌙 Why?
So her grave would remain unknown…
…so the worth of Ali would be known forever.”

🕯️ From Doubt to Faith: How the Martyrdom of Lady Fatimah (AS) Guided a Seeker to Truth

In a secular-dominated Turkey, where true Islamic symbols are often obscured, a young man’s spiritual journey led him from Sunni upbringing to the luminous path of the Ahlulbayt (AS).

Meet Nurullah Ahchnar — born into a Sunni family, yet from a young age, his heart was restless with questions about the Prophet’s Household, especially the tragic fate of Lady Fatimah (AS), the beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

❓ "Why was she treated with such injustice? Why is her grave hidden? Why did such silence surround her suffering?"

These questions haunted him, pushing him to search, study, and reflect deeply.

📖 Through books on Islamic history — including accounts of the Prophet’s passing and the events that followed — he began to uncover painful truths about what truly happened to the Ahlulbayt after the Prophet's departure.

🇮🇷 The 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran also deeply moved him. Hearing the sounds of Takbir from Iran on television, he felt Islam’s revival — powerful and alive.

⚡ Forced by increasing secular pressures in Turkey — where headscarves were banned and religious schools closed — he eventually migrated to Iran, where he now pursues a Master’s degree in Islamic Philosophy.

🕌 About Turkey today, he says:
"Western influence is strong, pushing a secular, European-style system. Yet, people are longing to return to their roots — to real Islam. The future will show whether those who want Islam will triumph over those trying to erase it."

📡 Regarding media propaganda against Iran:
"They tried hard to create fear and negativity toward Iran and the Islamic Revolution. But with time, Iran’s progress and resilience revealed the truth."

💎 His transformation teaches us:
Even in environments filled with distortion and distance from truth, a sincere heart, moved by the love and tragedy of Lady Fatimah (AS), can find its way to the light of true faith — the path of the Ahlulbayt.

💎 Edoardo Agnelli: The Heir Who Chose Martyrdom

✨ A Story of Radical Transformation

He was born into one of Europe’s wealthiest dynasties — heir to the FIAT empire, a life of unparalleled luxury, privilege, and worldly power set before him. But his soul yearned for a different light.

Edoardo Agnelli (1954–2000), son of Gianni Agnelli, did not follow the script written for him. Instead of embracing a destiny of corporate boards and high society, he embarked on a profound spiritual journey that led him, astonishingly, to Islam and, ultimately, to the school of Shi’a Islam and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

---

🔍 The Search for Truth

Disillusioned by the materialism surrounding him, Edoardo plunged into philosophy, religion, and mysticism. His quest was sincere and relentless. He studied:

· Christian mysticism
· Eastern philosophies
· And finally found what he described as the "complete and perfect truth" in Islam, particularly in the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) and the narrative of Imam Hussain (AS).

He reportedly said:
"In Hussain (AS), I found the true meaning of sacrifice and standing against oppression. This is a faith that demands everything, not just words."

---

☪️ A Public Declaration

His conversion was not private. He openly practiced Islam and expressed deep interest in Iran and the Islamic Revolution. He saw in it a spiritual and anti-imperialist struggle that resonated with his own rejection of Western hegemony.

This made him a figure of intrigue and, to some in his circles, a "traitor to his class."

---

⚫️ A Mysterious End

On November 15, 2000, Edoardo Agnelli was found dead at the base of a bridge in Rome. His death was officially ruled a suicide, but circumstances raised deep suspicions:

· He had expressed no depressive tendencies.
· He was a new Muslim, full of engagement.
· As a high-profile convert sympathetic to Iran, he was potentially a target.

Many believers, especially within the Muslim community, regard him not as a suicide, but as a شهید (Martyr) — a man whose search for truth and alignment with the oppressed led to his silencing.

---

💡 The Legacy of a Choice

Edoardo Agnelli’s life asks us a piercing question:
What are we willing to sacrifice for truth?

He gave up:

· A billion-euro inheritance
· Social prestige
· Familial approval

For:

· Spiritual peace
· Allegiance to divine justice
· Solidarity with the oppressed

His story is a powerful testimony that faith can reach hearts in the most unexpected palaces and that the call of Imam Hussain (AS) transcends all borders — even the gilded gates of European aristocracy.

---

🕯 May his soul be elevated among the righteous, and may his courageous choice continue to inspire those who hear the call of truth behind the noise of the world.

🌟 From Germany to Guidance: The Journey of Marcus (Abdul Mahdi) 🌟

Marcus, now Abdul Mahdi, a German revert to Islam, shares his inspiring journey from Christianity to the light of the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

🌿 Early Life & Spiritual Search
Growing up in a Christian family of Croatian descent,Marcus always believed in God but found concepts like the Trinity confusing and distant. Religion was a cultural label rather than a guiding force in his life.

🕌 First Encounters with Islam
His curiosity about Islam grew over time— from visiting a mosque during school days to hearing the Adhan in Indonesia. The discipline of Muslims during Ramadan left a deep impression on him. But it was after returning to Germany, in a more Islamic environment, that his heart truly began to incline toward faith.

📖 The Turning Point
While studying,he began reading the Quran. Surah al-Ikhlas resonated deeply with what he already believed about God’s oneness. Small moments — like giving charity to an old Arab man on the street who prayed for him in Arabic — moved his soul. Then came his first prayer experience: after joining Maghrib prayers at the university prayer room, he felt filled with energy and peace.

🕋 Choosing the Path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)
He didn’t stop at Islam— he researched further. The book Sulaym ibn Qays opened his eyes to the truth of Imam Ali (AS) and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt. He realized that even Sunni sources held proofs of Imam Ali’s rightful leadership. Attending a Shi‘a gathering commemorating Lady Fatima (AS) deepened his conviction.

💬 In His Words:

“We follow the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), who are our guides, because the Imams are like a living Quran. If we hold onto the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt, we are on the true path — as declared at Ghadeer.”

🕊️ On Tolerance & Truth
While firm in his faith,Marcus believes in respectful dialogue with other Muslims — except Wahhabi extremists, whose behavior, he notes, contradicts the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings.

📰 From Christian Journalist to Publisher of "Light of Hussein (AS)" in Cameroon

A story of faith, transformation, and dedicated media work from the heart of Africa.

🌟 A Journey from Christianity to the School of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)
Ali Bernard Ngam, a journalist from Cameroon, shares his spiritual journey. Standing at the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala, he expressed his deep affection for this land—the land of prophets and where Imam Hussain (AS) raised his cry for freedom against oppression. Each visit feels like the first, filled with profound emotion.

He states that embracing the school of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) fundamentally transformed his worldview: "I have changed a lot... After becoming a Shia, I realized my perspective on the world changed. I have become a role model in my society whom others follow, and all of this is from the blessings of the school of Ahl al-Bayt."

📖 Founding the "Noor al-Hussain" Magazine
As a journalist,he channeled his conviction into action by founding an electronic magazine, "Noor al-Hussain." Despite the challenges, he perseveres in publishing it. The magazine's content is dedicated to the teachings, life, and values of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), along with important news from the Islamic world and the holy shrines of Iraq.

He highlights that while freedom of expression is respected in Cameroon and promoting the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) faces no legal obstacles, there is a shortage of written, visual, and audio media that focuses on Imam Hussain (AS) and his noble tradition—a gap his magazine strives to fill.

🤝 Peaceful Coexistence & Growing Shia Community in Cameroon
The Shia community in Cameroon, though not having a long history, is on a growth trajectory, with estimates suggesting there are now over 50,000 Shia Muslims in the country.

He emphasizes the peaceful coexistence among followers of different religions in Cameroon, marked by significant cooperation and a sense of peace for all. There are no conflicts or disputes; all religions live together in affection and love. Interestingly, ceremonies and mourning gatherings held by followers of Ahl al-Bayt in mosques and Hussainiyahs are witnessing increasing participation from people, including Christians.

🌿 Misloun Kaj: From Venezuela to Islam

“My father was happy. He had always wished to have a daughter who wore the hijab.”

🔹 My transformation did not happen overnight; it was a gradual process. It began with developing a deeper understanding of Islam and a stronger sense of belonging to it.

🇻🇪 Misloun Kaj was born in Caracas, Venezuela, into a Lebanese-descended family. As a child, she attended a Catholic school and knew very little about religion. Her family was not particularly religious, and she struggled with many questions about Islam.

❓ Why do women have to wear hijab while men don't?
❓ Why do women stand behind men during prayer?
❓ Why can my brothers do things that I cannot?

These questions remained with her for years.

📚 Her journey toward Islam was gradual.
At university, she became increasingly interested in Islam and began researching the experiences of converts. She visited both Shia and Sunni mosques and encountered a Latin American cleric whose approach to Islam deeply impressed her.

“He didn't simply say, ‘You must pray five times a day or you will go to hell.’ Instead, he spoke about spirituality, the meaning of religion in our lives, and what religion adds to our lives.”

🌍 Her interest in Lebanon also grew, particularly during the 2006 Lebanon War. Seeing the media coverage and the response of Lebanese and Venezuelan communities led her to become politically and socially active.

❤️ She later traveled to Lebanon and spent six months there, wanting to understand the country, its people, and the roots of their dignity, resilience, and attachment to the Prophet's family.

She was particularly touched by:

✨ The strength of family relationships
✨ Love for the Ahl al-Bayt
✨ Devotion to Lady Fatima (sa) and Lady Zaynab (sa)
✨ The spirit of resistance and solidarity

🧕 Her religious transformation also changed her relationship with her family.

Her mother was unhappy with the changes and questioned why she prayed so much and had become so serious about religious practices.

But her father was different:

“My father was happy. He had always wished to have a daughter who wore the hijab. He was only somewhat unhappy that I had learned about Islam through the Shia community.”

💭 In the end, Misloun also came to rethink the relationship between religion and politics:

“I used to think that in Venezuela, religion should not become involved in politics. But later I realized that being religious does not necessarily mean that non-Muslims cannot participate, and that a political project does not have to be defined as something exclusively for Muslims.”

🌱 Her story is not one of a single moment of conversion, but of questions, research, experience, and a gradual journey toward faith.

What Is the Greatest “Good” in the Sight of God?

🔷 What does Allah Himself call the greatest “good”?

The Qur’an gives us a profound answer:

“What remains with Allah is better for you, if you are believers.”

(Qur’an 11:86)

There are countless forms of goodness in our lives. Caring for orphans is good. Praying on time is good. Helping the poor, building schools, serving others, and easing people’s difficulties are all noble deeds.

No one is saying otherwise.

But if Allah Himself tells us what is “better for you”, then we should pay attention to what He is pointing toward.

“بَقِيَّةُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ”

In the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Baqiyyatullah is associated with the divine proof and, in particular, Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him).

This does not diminish the value of other good deeds. Rather, it gives them direction.

You may feed an orphan and earn immense reward.
You may pray at the proper time and draw closer to Allah.
You may help the needy and serve humanity.

All of these are paths toward goodness.

But knowing the Imam, remaining loyal to the wilayah of Ahl al-Bayt, and helping preserve the faith of people in the age of occultation gives these efforts a greater direction and purpose.

This is why serving Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) is not merely an emotional expression of love.

It can mean guiding people toward faith, preserving the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, defending truth, protecting people from losing their connection with religion, and helping those who are being swept away by the currents of our time.

The true believer is not someone who merely waits for the Imam.

The true believer prepares people for him.

When people are being pulled away from faith, someone must reach out and bring them back. When ignorance spreads, someone must preserve knowledge. When hope disappears, someone must keep the light of wilayah alive.

That, too, is a form of serving the Imam of our time.

So let us not ask only:

“What good deed can I do?”

Let us also ask:

“Which good deed brings me closer to Allah, strengthens wilayah, and helps others remain on the path of divine guidance?”

For the believer, Baqiyyatullah is not merely a name to be spoken.

He is a direction toward which the heart, faith, and deeds must move.

اللهم عجل لوليك الفرج 🤲

🔷 A Strange Admission by Abu Bakr

One of the well-known principles of Islamic jurisprudence is:

“The admission of a sane person against himself is legally binding.”

(Al-iqrar ‘ala al-nafs)

In other words, when a mentally competent person acknowledges something against his own interests, that admission carries significant legal weight.

This principle raises an important historical question concerning Abu Bakr, the first caliph.

According to reports attributed to Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, Abu Bakr, during the final hours of his life, expressed deep regret over three matters. Among the statements attributed to him is:

“I wish I had not opened Fatimah’s house, even if it had been closed for confrontation, and I wish I had not sent men into it by force.”

If this report is accepted as authentic, its implications are profound.

It would mean that, at the end of his life, Abu Bakr himself expressed regret over actions involving the house of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her)—the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and a member of the Ahl al-Bayt.

The issue becomes even more serious when considered alongside reports concerning the use of fire as a means of punishment. The Prophetic tradition contains explicit prohibitions against punishing people by fire, reserving punishment by fire for Allah.

Therefore, the historical question remains:

If the report of Abu Bakr’s final admission is authentic, what does his own regret tell us about what happened to the household of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her)?

For those who study the history of the early Islamic period, this is not merely a question of politics.

It is a question of testimony, responsibility, and the sanctity of the household of the Prophet ﷺ.

May Allah grant us the courage to examine history with honesty, justice, and without fear.

They had turbah (prayer stones), performed qunut, and said:

“Allahu Akbar!”

I thought:

“Oh no… they're Shi'a. What am I going to do?” 😳

I remember that they would go to Masjid al-Zahra for Friday prayers. It was completely different from what I had experienced in Germany.

They performed qunut, and I did not understand what they were doing.

I stopped going to Friday prayers with my father.

He became somewhat worried. He had certain thoughts going through his mind. Perhaps he wondered whether his son might be one of those “terrorists.”

He said:

“You're Sunni. You want to kill all of us.”

I replied:

“No, no. I would love to come to the mosque, but I can't pray the way you do.”

🌟 My Brother and the Ahl al-Bayt

The first time I saw a photograph of my brother, I saw a special light in his face.

He looked like the moon—Masha'Allah. 🌕✨

I asked my father:

“Who is he?”

He told me:

“He's your brother.”

My brother was very spiritual, patient, and devoted to the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them.

Little by little, he introduced me to Shiism and the school of the Ahl al-Bayt.

He taught me Salat al-Layl (the Night Prayer).

The Night Prayer creates a powerful connection between a person and God. While everyone else is asleep, a person stands before Allah and privately speaks with Him.

🤍 “I Am With You”

One night, I was alone in my room. At that time, I felt extremely lonely.

Then I heard a voice in my soul saying:

“I am with you.”

I felt those words in my heart.

With my entire being, I experienced God's mercy and kindness.

I fell to the ground and began to cry.

I could not stop.

I truly felt God's presence with all my heart and soul. 🤲😭

When Muharram came, I began listening online to lectures about Muharram and learning about the differences between Sunni and Shi'a Islam.

Little by little, my understanding of the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) became complete.

🕊️ A journey that began with a search for a father ultimately became a journey toward God.

From Christianity → to Islam → and ultimately to the Ahl al-Bayt.

Sometimes, the search for where we come from leads us to discover where we truly belong. ❤️

Interestingly, when asked about the greatest challenge of becoming a Twelver Shia, the person did not mention learning Arabic, attending a mosque or changing their daily lifestyle.

They identified something much more fundamental:

Going from having no belief in God to having an absolute belief in God.

That is a much bigger psychological and philosophical transition than simply changing religious affiliation.

For someone raised as an atheist, the starting point is not:

“Which religion is true?”

It can be:

“Is there anything beyond the material world at all?”

Only after that question is answered does the next one become possible.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🧩 What can we actually learn from this story?

We should be careful not to turn one person's experience into a general rule.

This is a single self-reported testimony, posted anonymously on Reddit.

It cannot tell us how common this pathway is.

But it does give us a fascinating example of one possible route:

Atheism → Theism → Islam → Shi‘ism

And it shows that conversion can involve multiple separate intellectual decisions rather than one single leap.

First:

“I believe God exists.”

Then:

“I believe Islam is true.”

And finally:

“I believe Twelver Shi‘ism best explains Islam.”

Three different questions.

Three different stages of the journey.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🌱 A second recent example

Interestingly, another Reddit testimony from May 2025 describes a similar journey.

That person says they were raised by atheist parents and began searching for spiritual answers as a teenager.

After exploring several religions, they came to believe in monotheism and eventually Islam.

They then chose Twelver Shi‘ism, mentioning the stories of Sayyidah Fatimah, the Twelve Successors, Karbala, and an interest in Iranian culture among the factors that drew them toward Shi‘ism.

Again, this is an individual testimony — not statistical evidence.

But having two recent, independent personal accounts with a similar broad structure is noteworthy.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

💭 Perhaps the most interesting question isn't “Why did they become Muslim?”

It's this:

Why didn't their search end with belief in God?

For these individuals, becoming convinced that God exists was only the beginning.

They continued searching for answers about:

Who is God?
What is revelation?
Why Islam?
Who should lead the Muslim community?
What happened after the Prophet Muhammad?
What is the significance of Ghadir Khumm?
What is the role of the Ahl al-Bayt?

And eventually, their answers led them toward Twelver Shi‘ism.

Sometimes a religious journey doesn't begin with faith.

Sometimes it begins with a question.

And sometimes one question leads to another — until a person finds an answer they are willing to build their life around.
