Victoria Norouzi: A Newly Converted Muslim Physician The beauty and lovability of the Islamic faith are so profound that I never want to be oblivious to a single moment of it. I have sought and obtained everything I desired from God and the Quran. Check…
Everything I Desired, I Have Gained from God and the Quran ✨

According to Rahyafte (Comprehensive Base of Preachers and New Muslims), as reported by Cheshmeh Barkhar website, contrary to the claims of some ideologies suggesting a diminished role of religion in human life, we witness a significant number of individuals around the globe actively choosing a superior and better faith. This trend, particularly in recent decades, has seen a remarkable inclination towards Islam among people in various parts of the world.

The following excerpt is from an interview with a woman who converted to Islam, and her greatest aspiration is to memorize the entire Quran and visit the House of God. Victoria Norouzi, born into a Christian family in Moscow and now forty years old, embraced Islam fifteen years ago. She has two children named "Anahita" and "Daniel," who speak Persian.

Victoria has been residing in the Simorgh Barkhar neighborhood in Iran for twelve years and is currently working as the head of the health center in the city of Sine. Her husband, Akbar Norouzi, is from Isfahan and is also a physician.

Having spent her early education in Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan due to her father's profession, Victoria settled in Moscow after her father's retirement in 1372 (Persian calendar). A year later, she enrolled in the Sechenov Medical Academy and graduated in medicine from the same university.

Victoria, through her husband and his guidance during their academic years, transitioned from being a Christian to being aware of Islam. She expresses her admiration for Islam, stating that the beauty of this faith is so profound that she never wants to be oblivious to a single moment of it, having sought and obtained everything she desired from God and the Quran.

Victoria's perspective on Islam is so simple and unpretentious that even for someone familiar with Islam for years, her words are engaging and fresh. When asked about the moment she first considered converting to Islam, she shared that during the last year of university, she and her classmates were invited to Mr. Norouzi's house for an Iranian dinner during Ramadan. Inquiring about Mr. Norouzi's absence during the meal, they learned that he had gone to pray. After his return and dinner, she began asking questions about Islam, and that was the first spark for her inclination towards Islam.

Brief thoughts on the following words, please:

Truth and honesty: In one sentence, I believe it's when the heart and tongue speak the same thing.
Quran: I found answers to seven or eight important questions in my life in the Quran, but since I haven't memorized it, I can't say exactly. One of them had the concept that if God wanted, everyone would believe, and everyone would speak the same language.
Anahita: Power and perseverance.
House of God: A place I aspire to go.
Iran: A country with ancient history and pleasant weather.
Isfahan: A city I love.
Ganj Village: The hardship of work and an experience that always helps me.
Moscow: One of the most beautiful cities in the world.
My parents: I love them very, very much.
My husband: Someone who has never left me alone and never will.
Medicine: A profession I would choose again if I could go back.
Deprived areas: Appreciation for the endurance of people who, despite difficult conditions, stay and work in those areas.
Memorizing the Quran: Something I really want to start; something beyond a wish.
Love: A strange feeling that I don't want to lose.
Daniel: Literate, hardworking.
Most delicious Iranian dish: Fesenjan.
The most beautiful day of your life: Meeting my husband.
Christianity: The religion of God.

Victoria Norouzi continues, stating, 'In my opinion, addressing the health and educating the population under coverage is a priority over treatment. Therefore, conducting general education is one of my goals.' 🌿📖 #VictoriaNorouzi #NewMuslim #IslamicJourney #FaithInAllah #QuranWisdom ✨

🔺 Unveiling the Profound Understanding of a Newly Embraced Muslim towards Islam

🌐 In a report by Rahyafte (Comprehensive Platform for Missionaries and New Muslims), a tale unfolds of a young Iranian student residing in America. This student shares the story of a Christian lady, Taylor, who, fueled by curiosity about the Islamic Revolution in Iran, converted to Islam. Now, she actively engages in promoting Islam and the Shiite school of thought in America.

👥 Meet Abbas, a friend I made in America. Before the Islamic Revolution, he and his elder brother Reza came to the U.S. from a prosperous family, with their father providing financial support for their education.

💔 However, their father set a condition for their financial support: to refrain from involvement in religion and politics.

🤝 Reza's Marriage to Taylor and the Beginnings of Their Journey

Reza met an American girl named Taylor, married her, and shortly afterward, the Islamic Revolution triumphed in Iran. Witnessing the Islamic Republic in the news for the first time, Taylor became curious about Iran and Islam. As Reza couldn't adequately answer her questions, she requested books about Islam to find answers. At that time, English books about Islam were scarce.

📚 Taylor's Research on Islam and Seeking a Divorce

After researching Islam for a while, Taylor sought a divorce from Reza, claiming their marriage was not legitimate in Islamic terms. Despite Reza insisting he was a Christian and not a Muslim, Taylor remained firm, stating that she, being a Muslim, couldn't live with a Christian man. With their home in disarray, Reza sought help from friends to mediate.

🤝 The Conditions for Continued Marriage: Reza's Genuine Conversion to Islam

In a mediation session, Taylor outlined three conditions for reconciliation: 1) Reza must become a Muslim and learn about Islam, 2) Reza must adhere to his religious duties, and 3) Reza must actively engage in propagating the faith. After some reluctance, Reza accepted the first and third conditions but negotiated on the second.

🗣️ Taylor insisted that she desired nothing materialistic from Reza but only those things that would bring him true happiness. Ultimately, Reza agreed, and their marriage was sanctified according to Islamic principles.

📖 The Quran as the Sole Witness to Reza's Commitment

Immediately after securing Reza's commitment, Taylor took out a Quran from her handbag and placed it on the table. She asked Reza to pledge his commitment to the Quran. Witnessing this, everyone was shocked. Before taking the oath, Taylor emphasized that only a Muslim could bind themselves to God through an oath on the Quran. Reza and Taylor both repeated the Islamic testimonies, and Reza accepted Taylor's conditions with an oath on the Quran.

🌹 From that moment on, Taylor, now known as Zahra, actively engaged in Islamic activities alongside Reza. She played a pivotal role in converting similar American spouses to Islam. Zahra, or Sister Taylor, as she was affectionately called, went on to lead diverse Islamic initiatives, including raising funds for the first Shiite mosque in California and organizing Islamic education sessions for young Shiite believers.

🤲 The historic mediation session and the profound conversion of Taylor exemplify a deep understanding of Islam, symbolizing the transformative power of faith and commitment. 🌟🕊️ #IslamicJourney #FaithCommitment #UnityInDiversity #IslamInAmerica 🌍

I discovered the truth about Jesus (PBUH) through Islam, as shared on Rahyafte, the missionaries and converts website:

🌟 Exclusive Interview with Aisha, a Revert to Islam from the USA

Rahyafte, linked to the Edoardo Agnelli Islamic Association, presents an in-depth exploration into the life of our sister, Aisha.

👉 Meet Maggie, now Aisha:
Baptized as a Catholic and raised in Christian churches, I am a divorced mother of 5 beautiful children, born in Southern California. Despite my Christian upbringing, I never felt I was living my true life.

How did you get familiar with Islam, and what drove you to convert?
I encountered Islam through a friend on Facebook, who recommended learning about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and watching videos of Ahmed Deedat. Discovering the alignment between my beliefs about Jesus (PBUH) and Islam filled a void, resolving doubts I had carried since childhood.

What attracted you to Islam?
Islam's portrayal of Jesus (PBUH) resonated with my beliefs, contrary to Christian teachings. It was a relief to find the truth I had always sensed in my heart.

Family's Reaction and Challenges:
Upon converting, my family and friends reacted negatively, labeling me as brainwashed and associating me with stereotypes. They viewed me through the lens of prejudice, considering me a potential threat.

Sharing the Peaceful Journey:
I share my experiences on Facebook and Instagram, showcasing the love and wisdom of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Wearing the hijab prompts questions, allowing me to discuss the peace and love inherent in Islam.

Favorite Quranic Verse:
Surah Az-Zumar (39), Ayah 53, resonates deeply with me. It emphasizes Allah's mercy, encouraging us not to despair and to seek forgiveness.

Opinion on Hijab:
I love the hijab, though it makes some around me uncomfortable. I believe both men and women should adopt modest dressing.

First Prayer and Daily Rituals:
The first prayer brought a profound sense of peace, fostering a deeper connection with Allah. Praying five times a day presented challenges due to my weak grasp of Arabic, but I am committed to learning.

Beauty of Islam:
The true beauty lies in Muslims' care and humility, following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to love everyone around us.

Inviting Others to Islam:
As a revert, I find educating others about all prophets and the real essence of Islam, beyond social media portrayals, to be the most effective way of inviting non-Muslims. #RevertStories #IslamicJourney #DiscoveringTruth 🌙

🔺The Kind Manners of a Shia Man Led a Young Christian to Convert to Islam

According to Rahyafte (Comprehensive Website for Missionaries and New Muslims), Guthrie was born in the city of Kroonstad, South Africa, where Islam was unfamiliar to him. He only knew shopkeepers from countries like Bangladesh who had come to Kroonstad for work, and their religion was different from the Christianity he was raised in—either tied to the Church of England or the American Church, which most locals were born into.

Guthrie vividly recalls his father's mistreatment of his mother, which eventually led to their divorce when he was just 14 years old. Though he loved his mother, he says that through Islam, he found the strength to forgive his father. This experience led him to question Christianity, as it didn’t fulfill his spiritual needs. These thoughts lingered until financial difficulties forced him to drop out of university, pushing him towards the marketplace where he met Mubarak, a man of good character and integrity.

One day during Ramadan, Guthrie noticed Mubarak suddenly stop eating and drinking. When he asked why, Mubarak explained that it was for the sake of Almighty God. Guthrie understood the meaning of 'Almighty' in his native language, and when he learned that Allah is the name God Himself chose, he became even more thoughtful. Mubarak introduced him to the Ahl al-Kisa (the Five Pure Ones) and spoke about the Prophet of Islam and his mission. Guthrie says that two factors—the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and Mubarak's beautiful manners—sparked a desire in him to learn more about Islam.

📚 On Eid al-Fitr, Guthrie learned how to embrace Islam and finally recited the Shahada at Mubarak's home. He had been told that the Shahada purifies the soul and that acts like prayer, fasting, and ablution elevate the spirit and can make up for past mistakes. Guthrie compared it to a cup of milk: "When we drink milk, it finishes, but its residue remains in the cup, and it must be washed. Acts like fasting, ablution, and prayer are like water that cleanses the soul."

After converting to Islam, Guthrie adopted the name Abdul-Rafi' Ali, and it wasn't long before his younger brother also embraced Islam.

Today, Guthrie is studying in Iran at Jamiat al-Mustafa in Qom, aiming to deepen his understanding of Islam and serve the Muslim community. He says the atmosphere in Qom, with the luminous presence of Lady Masuma (peace be upon her) and the esteemed religious scholars, is different and offers him greater access to knowledge. He praises Imam Khomeini (may God be pleased with him) as the founder of the Islamic Revolution and his leadership in the style of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). He says, “The most important thing I’ve learned from the Imam is self-purification.”

In his own words: "Upon embracing Islam, I realized what it truly means to be human… It means being mindful of the Creator who brought me into existence and respecting the rights of His creations."

🌿 Misloun Kaj: From Venezuela to Islam

“My father was happy. He had always wished to have a daughter who wore the hijab.”

🔹 My transformation did not happen overnight; it was a gradual process. It began with developing a deeper understanding of Islam and a stronger sense of belonging to it.

🇻🇪 Misloun Kaj was born in Caracas, Venezuela, into a Lebanese-descended family. As a child, she attended a Catholic school and knew very little about religion. Her family was not particularly religious, and she struggled with many questions about Islam.

❓ Why do women have to wear hijab while men don't?
❓ Why do women stand behind men during prayer?
❓ Why can my brothers do things that I cannot?

These questions remained with her for years.

📚 Her journey toward Islam was gradual.
At university, she became increasingly interested in Islam and began researching the experiences of converts. She visited both Shia and Sunni mosques and encountered a Latin American cleric whose approach to Islam deeply impressed her.

“He didn't simply say, ‘You must pray five times a day or you will go to hell.’ Instead, he spoke about spirituality, the meaning of religion in our lives, and what religion adds to our lives.”

🌍 Her interest in Lebanon also grew, particularly during the 2006 Lebanon War. Seeing the media coverage and the response of Lebanese and Venezuelan communities led her to become politically and socially active.

❤️ She later traveled to Lebanon and spent six months there, wanting to understand the country, its people, and the roots of their dignity, resilience, and attachment to the Prophet's family.

She was particularly touched by:

✨ The strength of family relationships
✨ Love for the Ahl al-Bayt
✨ Devotion to Lady Fatima (sa) and Lady Zaynab (sa)
✨ The spirit of resistance and solidarity

🧕 Her religious transformation also changed her relationship with her family.

Her mother was unhappy with the changes and questioned why she prayed so much and had become so serious about religious practices.

But her father was different:

“My father was happy. He had always wished to have a daughter who wore the hijab. He was only somewhat unhappy that I had learned about Islam through the Shia community.”

💭 In the end, Misloun also came to rethink the relationship between religion and politics:

“I used to think that in Venezuela, religion should not become involved in politics. But later I realized that being religious does not necessarily mean that non-Muslims cannot participate, and that a political project does not have to be defined as something exclusively for Muslims.”

🌱 Her story is not one of a single moment of conversion, but of questions, research, experience, and a gradual journey toward faith.
