Maggie (Aisha) - A New American Muslim Lady: β¨ The moment I recited my first prayer... Discover the profound journey at: https://rahyafteha.ir/en/3375 π @rahyafte_en #NewMuslim #IslamicJourney #PrayerExperience #SpiritualAwakening π€²
I discovered the truth about Jesus (PBUH) through Islam, as shared on Rahyafte, the missionaries and converts website:
π Exclusive Interview with Aisha, a Revert to Islam from the USA
Rahyafte, linked to the Edoardo Agnelli Islamic Association, presents an in-depth exploration into the life of our sister, Aisha.
π Meet Maggie, now Aisha:
Baptized as a Catholic and raised in Christian churches, I am a divorced mother of 5 beautiful children, born in Southern California. Despite my Christian upbringing, I never felt I was living my true life.
How did you get familiar with Islam, and what drove you to convert?
I encountered Islam through a friend on Facebook, who recommended learning about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and watching videos of Ahmed Deedat. Discovering the alignment between my beliefs about Jesus (PBUH) and Islam filled a void, resolving doubts I had carried since childhood.
What attracted you to Islam?
Islam's portrayal of Jesus (PBUH) resonated with my beliefs, contrary to Christian teachings. It was a relief to find the truth I had always sensed in my heart.
Family's Reaction and Challenges:
Upon converting, my family and friends reacted negatively, labeling me as brainwashed and associating me with stereotypes. They viewed me through the lens of prejudice, considering me a potential threat.
Sharing the Peaceful Journey:
I share my experiences on Facebook and Instagram, showcasing the love and wisdom of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Wearing the hijab prompts questions, allowing me to discuss the peace and love inherent in Islam.
Favorite Quranic Verse:
Surah Az-Zumar (39), Ayah 53, resonates deeply with me. It emphasizes Allah's mercy, encouraging us not to despair and to seek forgiveness.
Opinion on Hijab:
I love the hijab, though it makes some around me uncomfortable. I believe both men and women should adopt modest dressing.
First Prayer and Daily Rituals:
The first prayer brought a profound sense of peace, fostering a deeper connection with Allah. Praying five times a day presented challenges due to my weak grasp of Arabic, but I am committed to learning.
Beauty of Islam:
The true beauty lies in Muslims' care and humility, following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to love everyone around us.
Inviting Others to Islam:
As a revert, I find educating others about all prophets and the real essence of Islam, beyond social media portrayals, to be the most effective way of inviting non-Muslims. #RevertStories #IslamicJourney #DiscoveringTruth π

πΆ Tahereh Lalcheh Geran (Chikako Nakata) β A Japanese Revert to Islam
π Tahereh Lalcheh Geran, a 37-year-old Japanese woman previously a Christian, embraced Islam after an inspiring journey of research and reflection. She was introduced to Islam during her interaction with an Iranian visitor to Japan, who proposed marriage on the condition that she would accept Islam after understanding it.
After a year of studying Islamic books provided by the Iranian Embassy in Japan and four months of living in Iran, she embraced Islam on May 15, 1996 (25/2/1375) and married her husband. Today, she resides in Iran, holds Iranian citizenship, and feels deeply content with her life.
π On Becoming a Muslim:
"From the moment I heard the name of Islam, I felt rebornβa rebirth marked by pride in adopting hijab, modesty, and chastity. I also took pride in choosing a beautiful name and identity that reflected this transformative journey."
π Visiting Holy Shrines:
"During my visits to sacred sites like Mashhad, Qom, and the shrine of Imam Khomeini, I first thanked God for guiding me to Islam. The grandeur of these places deeply moved me, especially in Syria, where my husband explained the oppression faced by Imam Hussein (AS) and his family. In Lebanon, I witnessed the devastation caused by the Zionist regime. These experiences made me realize the profound oppression faced by Muslims."
π The Role of Women in Islam vs. Christianity:
"In Islam, women hold an important role in religious and political matters, unlike in Christianity, where participation is often limited to attending church on Sundays. For instance, during the Islamic Revolution, women played a vital role, and even today, their fervor remains strong. This is a stark contrast to Japan, where societal engagement tends to diminish quickly."
π§ On Hijab and Modesty:
"I have fully embraced the Islamic dress code and take pride in adhering to it strictly. Covering my hands, wearing thick socks, and maintaining modesty bring me a joy I had never experienced before. However, it saddens me that some women in Iran, knowingly or unknowingly, do not observe proper hijab."
π Tahereh also highlighted the warm relationship she shares with her in-laws, contrasting it with the colder family dynamics in Japan. She plans to remain in Iran and is committed to improving her Persian language skills and deepening her understanding of Islam.
