Edward G. Brown, the professor of Arabic & oriental studies at the University of Cambridge, praises Imam Hussain in the following passage:

🥀"… a reminder of the blood-stained field of Kerbela, where the grandson of the Apostle of God fell at length, tortured by thirst & surrounded by the bodies of his murdered kinsmen, has been at anytime since then sufficient to evoke, even in the most lukewarm & heedless, the deepest emotions, the most frantic grief, & an exaltation of spirit before which pain, danger & death shrink to unconsidered trifles.”

The late Kowsari said: "On the first day of Muharram, I left home intending to attend ceremonies and recitations. Along the way, some children insisted that I recite a few verses of elegy at their small roadside stall. Initially, I declined, but after their persistent requests, I went and recited a few verses on their humble brick platform.

After I finished, they brought me tea as a gesture of hospitality. It was not the kind of tea I would usually drink at home or elsewhere, but to avoid hurting their feelings, I discreetly poured the tea aside and thanked them before heading to the more formal ceremonies I had planned to attend.

That night, exhausted, I fell asleep. In my dream, I saw Lady Fatima Zahra. She said, 'Kowsari, the only elegy of yours that was accepted was the few verses you recited for those children. As for the tea you poured out, I had personally prepared it for you.'"

😭 A Heartbreaking Memory from Haj Mohammad Bazri

Last year, the night coincided with the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayyah (peace be upon her). I was reciting poetry and elegies in the presence of our Martyred Imam. It was also the 40th day after the martyrs of the 12-Day War.

For nearly twenty minutes, I recited verses while the Imam was engaged in the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. But when I reached the elegy of Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.), I noticed something unforgettable:

He gently embraced the Qur’an and began to weep.

I recited:

"People grieve for a father who comforts his child with kindness and affection...
But my heart breaks for the little girl to whom they brought her father's severed head."

The Imam's tears flowed.

Then I continued with the verses that always moved him deeply:

"Slowly, slowly come,
Let me place your head upon mine.
I have so many words to tell you, Father...
For several nights now, whenever I whisper your name,
All I receive are blows and lashes..."

A scene that remains forever etched in memory: the tears of a leader, mourning the sorrow of Sayyida Ruqayyah (a.s.). 💔

2️⃣ Assassination Attempt on Abdul-Muttalib:
• Jews attacked him on the road to Mecca, but he was miraculously saved

3️⃣ Assassination Attempts on Abdullah (Prophet's Father):
• Jews tried multiple times to kill him
• After marrying Amina, the prophetic light in his forehead transferred to her
• He died mysteriously in Medina (the Jewish center) while returning from Syria ⚠️

4️⃣ Attempts to Assassinate the Prophet (PBUH) Himself:
• A Jewish scholar recognized him the day after his birth, exclaiming: "This is the one who will destroy the Children of Israel!"
• 😱 He fainted from shock!

🛡️ Protective Measures for the Prophet (PBUH):

🔹 Sent Away from Mecca (to Haleemah al-Sa'diyah):
• Under pretexts (mother's lack of milk, bad climate, Arab custom) – but all are critiqueable 🧐
• Stayed 5 years (unlike the usual 2-year custom)
• When Jews identified him in that region, Haleemah returned him

🔹 Abdul-Muttalib's Constant Guard:
• Even brought the Prophet to council meetings
• In his will, he appointed Abu Talib (not his eldest son) as guardian, with the primary command to protect Muhammad (PBUH) ✍️

🔹 Abu Talib's Sacrifices:
• Gave up trade for 4 years to protect the Prophet
• Ate before the Prophet to check for poison ☠️
• Slept next to him at night
• On a trip to Syria, Bahira (a Christian monk) warned: "Return him to Mecca quickly, lest the Jews get to him" ✝️⚠️

🔴 7 Jews came near Bahira to assassinate the Prophet (PBUH) – but they failed

🔷 Traps and Pitfalls Before the Reappearance

"The formula for salvation at the time of the Reappearance is remarkably simple: Whoever has learned their religion from the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) will not fail to recognize Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him). That is all.

If your religion comes from celebrities, satellite media, personal speculation, or deviant movements, then when the Reappearance comes... you will be left behind.

Do not be deceived by those who claim, 'We stand with the truth.' History has repeatedly shown that the majority of those who claimed to be religious ultimately stood against the rightful Imam when the moment of trial arrived.

For that difficult day, you have only one true shield: profound knowledge of, and complete obedience to, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)."

They had turbah (prayer stones), performed qunut, and said:

“Allahu Akbar!”

I thought:

“Oh no… they're Shi'a. What am I going to do?” 😳

I remember that they would go to Masjid al-Zahra for Friday prayers. It was completely different from what I had experienced in Germany.

They performed qunut, and I did not understand what they were doing.

I stopped going to Friday prayers with my father.

He became somewhat worried. He had certain thoughts going through his mind. Perhaps he wondered whether his son might be one of those “terrorists.”

He said:

“You're Sunni. You want to kill all of us.”

I replied:

“No, no. I would love to come to the mosque, but I can't pray the way you do.”

🌟 My Brother and the Ahl al-Bayt

The first time I saw a photograph of my brother, I saw a special light in his face.

He looked like the moon—Masha'Allah. 🌕✨

I asked my father:

“Who is he?”

He told me:

“He's your brother.”

My brother was very spiritual, patient, and devoted to the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them.

Little by little, he introduced me to Shiism and the school of the Ahl al-Bayt.

He taught me Salat al-Layl (the Night Prayer).

The Night Prayer creates a powerful connection between a person and God. While everyone else is asleep, a person stands before Allah and privately speaks with Him.

🤍 “I Am With You”

One night, I was alone in my room. At that time, I felt extremely lonely.

Then I heard a voice in my soul saying:

“I am with you.”

I felt those words in my heart.

With my entire being, I experienced God's mercy and kindness.

I fell to the ground and began to cry.

I could not stop.

I truly felt God's presence with all my heart and soul. 🤲😭

When Muharram came, I began listening online to lectures about Muharram and learning about the differences between Sunni and Shi'a Islam.

Little by little, my understanding of the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) became complete.

🕊️ A journey that began with a search for a father ultimately became a journey toward God.

From Christianity → to Islam → and ultimately to the Ahl al-Bayt.

Sometimes, the search for where we come from leads us to discover where we truly belong. ❤️
