🔴 Understanding the essence of being like a diamond in Islam requires a departure from the liberal Western notion of freedom and the featureless nature of femininity. In Islam, the status of women is not defined by a superficial sense of liberation but is rather intricately woven into the fabric of a holistic and dignified existence.

Just as a diamond possesses unique qualities, brilliance, and rarity, Islam recognizes the distinct and valuable role of women in society. The beauty of a diamond lies not in its conformity to a standard mold, but in its individuality and authenticity. Similarly, in Islam, a woman's value is not determined by her adherence to societal expectations but rather by her adherence to principles that elevate her character and contributions.

Title: The Status of Women in Islam

[🌸 Mother of the Believers 🌸] Umm Salama approached the Prophet (PBUH) and expressed:

"All honors seem to be bestowed upon men; what share do unfortunate women have in these honors?"

The Prophet (PBUH) replied:
"Yes, when a woman becomes pregnant, she is equivalent to a fasting, praying, and striving warrior for the sake of Allah, with herself and her wealth. When she gives birth, her reward is beyond anyone's comprehension due to its greatness. When she breastfeeds, for every sip, it is like liberating a slave, a freed one from the offspring of Isma'il. When she completes nursing, a generous angel pats her side and says, 'Resume your actions, for your sins have been forgiven!'"

I believe (women also hold abundant honors).

🌾 When a woman is pregnant, throughout the entire period, she is akin to a fasting, praying, and striving warrior for the sake of Allah, with her life and wealth.

🥀 When she delivers, God rewards her so generously that no one can fathom its magnitude.

🌻 When she breastfeeds her child, in the face of every challenge from the child, God grants her the reward of freeing a slave from the descendants of Isma'il.

🍁 When the weaning period of the child concludes, a noble angel of God approaches her, saying, "Begin your deeds anew, for God has forgiven all your sins!" (It's as if the book of her actions is starting afresh.)

Leyla Hossein, formerly Jewish, recently converted to Islam. The first thing that inspired me was the Quran. All the evidence I found indicated that this is a true religion... Check out Leyla's inspiring journey here: https://rahyafteha.ir/69408/ #Conversion…
🌟 Embracing Islam: A Journey of Discovery and Faith 🌟

In a world filled with diverse cultures and beliefs, one woman's journey stands out as a testament to the power of faith and self-discovery. Meet Leyla Hossein, a remarkable soul who, despite her Jewish upbringing, found solace and truth in the embrace of Islam.

Leyla's story begins six years ago, in a tight-knit Jewish community where she resided. While the path to Islam may seem daunting to some, for Leyla, it was a natural progression fueled by a profound spiritual awakening. She recalls, "The first thing that inspired me was the Quran. All the evidence I found indicated that this is a true religion..."

But Leyla's journey wasn't just about a change in faith; it was a transformation of the heart and mind. Growing up, she had always admired veiled women, seeing them as symbols of purity and dignity. "I've always admired veiled women, seeing them as pure and dignified," Leyla shares. Despite societal norms and familial expectations, she knew deep within her soul that embracing Islamic hijab was her path to spiritual fulfillment.

The decision to wear hijab wasn't without its challenges. Living in France, where hijab is forbidden in many public spaces, Leyla faced criticism and opposition from her own family. Yet, she stood firm in her conviction, guided by the teachings of the Quran and the example of the Prophet Muhammad. "For me, it was important because the Quran and many traditions of the Prophet emphasize the importance of hijab and being recognized as a Muslim to gain respect," Leyla explains.

But Leyla's journey is not just about personal conviction; it's also a reflection of broader societal trends. Despite the rise of Islamophobia and anti-Islamic sentiments in Western media, statistics show a growing interest in Islam, particularly among women. The allure of hijab, with its message of modesty and inner peace, resonates deeply with many seeking spiritual fulfillment in today's chaotic world.

Indeed, interviews with newly converted Muslim women reveal a common thread: an initial attraction to veiled women followed by a curiosity about Islam and its teachings. It's a testament to the power of modesty and faith in a world that often values materialism over spirituality.

Yet, as the popularity of hijab grows, so too does resistance from certain quarters. Western states, fearful of Islam's rising influence, seek to suppress veiled women, oblivious to the fact that faith cannot be extinguished by force. For Islam is not merely a set of beliefs; it is a way of life rooted in the natural disposition of humanity.

As Leyla's journey demonstrates, true faith transcends cultural boundaries and societal norms. It's a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and spiritual enlightenment, guided by the light of truth and the wisdom of the heart.

So let Leyla's story be a beacon of hope for all who seek truth and meaning in their lives. Let it remind us that faith knows no bounds and that the path to enlightenment is open to all who dare to seek it. In a world filled with uncertainty, may Leyla's journey inspire us to embrace our own spiritual truths and walk boldly into the light of faith. 🌟🕊️

🆕 Lisa Zaynab Killinger, a new Muslim from America, says: "Islam is a religion of intellect and wisdom..." https://rahyafteha.ir/19418/ #NewMuslim #Islam #Wisdom #ConvertStory #Rahyafte 🌐 @rahyafte_en
🔸 Interesting Remarks by a Newly Converted Doctor about Women in Islam

According to Rahyafte (The Comprehensive Platform for Islamic Propagation and New Muslims), Dr. Lisa (Zaynab) Killinger, a radiologist from Davenport, Iowa, became curious about Islam after meeting people in a restaurant who refrained from eating pork. After a year of studying Islam and visiting mosques and churches, she officially embraced Islam on the first day of Ramadan in 1979. Now, she is an advocate for Islam, speaking at seminars and responding to misconceptions about the religion.

During one seminar, she discussed women’s rights in Islam, saying:

💠 “In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
Islam is a religion of intellect and wisdom. Women who embrace Islam seek chastity, higher education, social and economic involvement, and a loving relationship with God. 1,400 years ago, people buried their daughters alive, but Islam stood against this. Even today, some countries allow only one child per family, killing female children to preserve family names. Islam came with a new message: justice and truth. Women and men are brothers and sisters in Islam, and there is no superiority in race or color. If women are oppressed, it’s due to ignorance, and they must learn their rights."

🔹 *“Allah is the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them). Some people fear Muslims’ God because they associate the phrase 'Allahu Akbar' with violence they see in the media. But 'Allah' is simply the Arabic word for God, the same God worshipped in Judaism and Christianity. We believe in a merciful God who never overlooked the rights of women.”

🔸 “Islam gave women the right to vote long before America did. Until the 19th century, women here had no right to vote, and were often deprived of inheritance. Islam not only grants women these rights but also makes the pursuit of knowledge obligatory for both men and women. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘Seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim man and woman.’”

💠 “Islam began with the command 'Read': 'Read in the name of your Lord who created.' One of the first female doctors in Islam, Al-Shifa, was a healer during the Prophet’s time. She was allowed to treat the wounded in battle. Women must seek higher education to contribute to society. Modesty is also a common value across Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Orthodox Jewish women also wear headscarves. Muslim women aren’t different in this regard.”

🔹 “Both men and women must be modest, in both dress and behavior. Modesty is an internal commitment as much as an external one. Muslim men, too, must dress modestly. The Qur'an guides us to chastity, and this must come from the heart."

💠 “Islam does not prohibit women from trade, just as Khadijah (peace be upon her), the wife of the Prophet, was a businesswoman. Women are free to participate in society and share their opinions.”

🔸 “Islam has prohibited alcohol, which causes 75% of crimes in America. Islam also bans gambling, which impoverishes people. Alcohol and gambling destroy families, which is why they are forbidden in Islam. As for polygamy, Islam permits it only under strict conditions and for the sake of justice.”

🔹 “We must raise awareness about women’s rights in Islam and share this knowledge with non-Muslims. Why do more women than men convert to Islam in America? Because Islam defends women’s rights. After 9/11, I faced challenges, but I used the opportunity to engage in dialogue with non-Muslims. We should always follow the Prophet’s advice and offer a smile to others. Wise and rational conversations are the best way to introduce Islam.”

🌟 From Christianity to Islam: A Journey of Discovery 🌟

When I first encountered Islam in 1978, I was a young woman, skeptical and curious. I had always felt something was missing in my faith, and one day, a stranger handed me a newspaper saying, “Muhammad speaks.” I brought it home, and my father said, “This is the true Islam.” That was just the beginning.

After a visit to the mosque, where the imam spoke about worship and serving God, I was deeply moved. It was different from what I knew in Christianity, where Jesus was the center of everything. I realized that Islam’s concept of worship was much broader, encompassing all aspects of life. I was intrigued by the teachings, and soon after, I embraced Islam.

💫 Becoming Muslim
After becoming a Muslim, I faced challenges, especially with fasting during the hottest time of the year. But I soon learned that Islam isn’t about hardship; it’s about simplicity and peace. I struggled with wearing the hijab at first, but the more I learned, the more I embraced it, realizing it was a symbol of modesty and respect for myself and others.

🌿 The Importance of Education
My journey didn’t stop with conversion. I noticed that many Muslim women, including myself, lacked understanding of our true rights and responsibilities as women in Islam. This led me to found the "Healthy Life for Muslim Women" organization. Our goal was to educate women on the distinction between cultural practices and the true teachings of Islam.

💪 Empowering Muslim Women
We began by educating women about their rights, marriage, family, and health. Over time, the organization grew, and we reached hundreds of women across the country. Our work extended to non-Muslim women, many of whom converted to Islam after learning about its beautiful simplicity.

🌙 Islam is the Path to Peace
I learned that Islam teaches peace, balance, and fulfillment. It offers guidance in every aspect of life, from health to personal relationships. And above all, it’s about submission to God’s will. When we trust in Him, we find strength and purpose, no matter the challenges we face.

🌟 Grateful for the Journey
I am forever grateful for the guidance I received through the Quran, the community, and my journey into Islam. This is a path of knowledge, empowerment, and connection with God. It’s a path that has changed my life, and I’m proud to walk it every day. 🙏🏼

🕌 “I Am Muslim — And I Prefer to Teach with My Headscarf On”
Interview with Fatima Zibouh, a Muslim Teacher in France
📖 Source: Rahyafteha.ir
🎙️ Originally published by Matin Primeber Magazine

Fatima Zibouh is a French Muslim teacher who insists on wearing her hijab while teaching — a choice that has sparked controversy in a country where the judicial system and much of society remain deeply opposed to visible expressions of Islamic faith in public institutions.
Despite criticism and pressure, Fatima continues to stand by her values, seeing her hijab not as a symbol of division, but as one of faith, freedom, and dignity.

🧕 “My Hijab Protects and Defines Me”

“I am Muslim, and I prefer to always wear my headscarf while teaching,” Fatima said. “My hijab covers me and protects me. The recent court decision allowing me to wear it in class was unprecedented — but it’s a positive step, showing that freedom of belief and expression can coexist with professionalism.

People must understand that a teacher wearing a hijab can educate as well as anyone else. It has nothing to do with her ability or intelligence.”

⚖️ On Neutrality and Secularism

Fatima acknowledges that the concept of neutrality in France’s secular system is often misunderstood:

“Neutrality is not a fixed idea — it must evolve with society. The real challenge is to maintain professional impartiality without suppressing personal identity. I don’t believe that a headscarf prevents me from being a fair and dedicated teacher.”

👩‍🏫 Gender Equality and Education

“My appearance matters to me, but not as a form of vanity — it’s part of my womanhood. Every day I fight against gender inequality and discrimination, not only in how I dress but through my actions.

Instead of obsessing over a piece of fabric on women’s heads, we should focus on real educational challenges — the lack of classrooms, social inequality, and the quality of education.”

💬 Responding to Feminist Criticis
m

Some French feminists, like Elisabeth Badinter, claim that the hijab is oppressive to women. Fatima strongly disagrees:

“Even within feminism, there are diverse voices. The real issue is discrimination against women who wear hijab — women who are qualified but excluded from jobs and reduced to housework.

Feminism should stand for the freedom to choose what to do with one’s own body.
Whether a woman decides to cover or uncover, it must be her choice. That’s the real meaning of equality.”

🧩 On the Niqab and Religious Extremism

“Personally, I prefer the term niqab to burqa, though it’s rarely seen in Brussels. I don’t like it, because it doesn’t represent Islam — it’s a patriarchal tradition from countries like Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.

True Islam has no place for such oppression.
Freedom in public space should be preserved, but laws must not stigmatize specific communities under the pretext of security or order.”

🚫 Against Extremism and Salafism

“You only need to see my activism in anti-globalization, feminist, and anti-racist groups to know I reject Salafist ideas completely.
I am tired of people associating hijab-wearing women with fundamentalism — it’s ignorant and unfair.”

💬 Final Words

“I am proud of who I am — a Muslim, a woman, and a teacher. My hijab does not make me less capable; it simply makes me me.
France must learn that true freedom means allowing diversity, not silencing it.”

🌍 This interview with Fatima Zibouh highlights the ongoing tension between secularism and religious freedom in France — and the courage of Muslim women who stand firm in both their faith and their pro
fessions.

🌟 Maria Farasis: An Italian Woman's Journey to Islam 🌟
https://rahyafteha.ir/102934/

Maria Farasis, an Italian woman who embraced Islam, shares her inspiring story of discovering faith and finding true dignity for women in a religion she calls "complete and comprehensive."

🧕 From Curiosity to Conversion

· 20 years ago, Maria knew nothing about Islam and felt dissatisfied with her lifestyle
· Her journey began when she met her Iranian husband, who introduced her to Persian culture and Islamic civilization
· Through studying books about Iran and Islam, she discovered the connections between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism
· "Islam is a complete religion that has clear answers for all life's needs," Maria explains

💫 Why Islam? The Dignity of Women

· "One of my criteria for becoming Muslim was preserving women's dignity and self-respect"
· "While in Western culture a woman is a tool, Islam has given women status"
· "In Western countries, women who choose to not cover lose their character, modesty, and chastity"
· "In Islam, women's modesty and virtue are preserved"

🛡️ Resisting Western Cultural Invasion

Maria warns about Western efforts to undermine Islamic values:

· "The enemies are trying to impose Western lifestyle on Iranian men and women through various tools like cinema"
· "Women in the West have become instruments and tools - we must ensure this doesn't happen in Iran"
· "To stop Western influence, domestic clothing production should be strengthened and promoted"

🧭 Finding Her Path to Shiism

· Maria expresses gratitude for meeting a Shia man that facilitated her journey to Islam
· "The school of Imam Hussein (AS) played a significant role in my becoming Shia"
· Despite initial challenges with hijab in hot weather, she found joy in being respected as a person rather than being viewed as an object

⚠️ A Warning About Cultural Changes

Having visited Iran for 20 years, Maria observes:

· "In my opinion, Iran has changed - Westerners have transferred their culture to this country"
· "When I see some young girls and boys, it's like I'm facing American youth"
· "Clothing should give value to humans, not take away their value - this is important for society"

Maria's journey reminds us that Islam offers women genuine dignity in a world that often reduces them to objects. Her story is a testament to the power of Islamic values in an increasingly materialistic world.
