🔺Mostafa Oscar: A Revert and Preacher from El Salvador

"If I were to go back in time and knew about all these difficulties, I would undoubtedly make the same decision again, and I would certainly choose to spread the message of Islam."

Rahyafte (The Guided Ones)
Part 1 🔹Muslims in My Country Still Think Like Christians According to Rahyafte (the comprehensive platform for new Muslims and preachers), Mostafa Oscar, a student from Latin America, has traveled to distant countries with his family, enduring many hardships…
Part 2

In the past decade, I have introduced dozens of people in my country to Islam, the religion of love and respect for humanity. They embraced Islam with passion and love, as it is a religion of reason and respect for all people, especially women.

Muslims in my country still think like Christians, for example, believing they need a designated place to pray and worship. There is a need for more effort to introduce them to the true principles of Islam.

Our center once had a radio station and published magazines, and our Islamic activities were conducted professionally, bringing about many blessings. However, these centers are now inactive.

I had a good job in my country, but out of love for Islam, I left everything behind to pursue knowledge so I could serve my country and the Muslims better. Whenever I returned to my country, I had good resources available to me, thanks to my academic abilities. I even had credibility in my country and was invited for interviews on television.

The first challenge foreign students face is that people's perception of them and Islam is different from the true image. We are responsible for correcting this misconception because the first image people have of Muslims is often shaped by the brutal actions of terrorist groups like ISIS.

The religious attire we wear in seminaries and universities is similar to that of clerics, but in public, we wear clothing that conforms to social norms.

In my country, as in many other Latin American and non-Latin American countries, people's views of Muslims and Shias are negative due to the image of certain so-called Muslim terrorists. Many people cannot distinguish between true Shias and others, and only a few have developed the ability to make this distinction.

Once, while walking down the street with my wife, who was wearing Islamic attire, someone yelled at her from a bus, calling her crazy. This reflects the attitude toward hijab in my country. However, the hijab of some women in my country is far better than that of Iranian women!

Publishing Islamic books in my country can only be done privately, as there is no government support. When I was in my country, I personally financed the printing of books.

🔴"If I were to go back to 12 years ago, even knowing about all these hardships, I would undoubtedly make the same decision again. I would certainly choose to preach Islam because, contrary to what is promoted in the West, Islam is not a religion of killing or oppression, especially against women. It is a religion of reason, chivalry, and respect for all people and other religions. This respect for other religions is what attracts people to Islam in the West. People in the West are tired of oppression, and if they knew the true qualities of Islam, they would be drawn to it."

🔹 Niki (Zahra) Harman – The Journey of a Dutch Revert to Islam 🔹

🔸 "This is my country, and I have chosen my faith through research and conviction."

Niki Harman, a Dutch woman who embraced Islam and later became a follower of the Shia school of thought, shares her inspiring journey:

"I was born into a secular family with no religious background. Since childhood, I was always curious about the purpose of life. Why are we here? Is life just about eating and sleeping? Does everything end with death? What is the reality of death?"

🌟 The Search for Truth
Growing up in a non-religious environment, I found no answers to my questions. Over time, my curiosity grew stronger. I kept telling myself: There must be a truth out there.

Seeing Muslims perform their rituals on TV intrigued me. I wondered:

Why do they pray so consistently?

Why do Muslim women wear hijab?

What motivates them to stay committed to their faith?

Despite the negative portrayal of Islam in Western media, I felt compelled to research it.

📖 Discovering Islam
I started studying various religions, but Christianity did not provide the answers I was seeking. The concept of the Trinity never made sense to me—how could there be three gods?

Eventually, I obtained a Dutch translation of the Qur’an. The more I read, the more peace I felt. The Qur’an answered my deepest questions, and with every page, my faith strengthened. Finally, I accepted Islam.

Alhamdulillah, my family did not oppose my decision. However, my mother was worried about the challenges Muslims face in the West. She told me: If you choose this path, you must remain committed to it. I agreed. But she strongly objected to my wearing hijab, as she had misconceptions about Islam.

🕊 Choosing Shia Islam
I was deeply moved by the life of Lady Fatima (SA). She became my role model, and her struggles inspired me to stay strong in my faith. During my studies, I came across a book by a Dutch orientalist about Islamic history. The injustices faced by Lady Fatima (SA) after the Prophet’s passing deeply affected me. It led me to research Shia Islam, and eventually, I embraced the Twelver Shia faith.

🌍 Facing Challenges as a Muslim in the West
One day, while shopping, an immigrant woman asked me:
"If you wanted to wear hijab, why did you come here? You should have stayed in your own country!"

I lifted my niqab, looked her in the eye, and firmly said:
"This is my country. I was born here. And I chose my faith after deep research, and I stand by it."

🚀 A New Journey – Moving to Iran
I always wished to connect with Shia Muslims, but they were rare in Europe. Through social media, I met an Iranian woman, and after many discussions, I was invited to visit Iran.

During my visit, I stayed with my friend's family. Eventually, her brother proposed to me. I returned to the Netherlands to consult my family. While my grandmother strongly opposed the idea—fearing Iran was unsafe—my mother, seeing how much Islam had brought peace into my life, gave her blessing. I returned to Iran and got married.

💖 Changing My Mother’s View of Islam
My mother attended my wedding in Iran. She was amazed by the hospitality and warmth of the people. During our visit to Qom, at the shrine of Lady Masoumeh (SA), she unexpectedly broke into tears and touched the sacred tomb.

A family member asked her:
"Do you understand why people pray here?"

She replied:
"Of course! Otherwise, why would I be here? But if I say this back home, people will think I'm crazy!"

She also noticed how safe Iran was. Unlike in Europe, where women avoid going out at night, she saw women in Iran freely walking outside even at 10 PM. This changed her entire perspective.

Upon returning to the Netherlands, she decided to challenge misconceptions about Islam and Iran.

🇩🇪 German Woman’s Journey to Islam: From Searching to Inner Peace

✅ “Six months after moving to Dubai, I said the Shahada and embraced Islam by wearing the hijab.”

She spent years searching for peace, trying to fill the emptiness in her life with social gatherings and friendships. But true tranquility remained elusive—until she encountered Islam.

🔹 Raised around Muslims, her older brother had already embraced Islam and married a Turkish Muslim woman. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Dubai at 30 that she began to observe the beauty of the Muslim way of life.

🔹 At first, she distanced herself from Muslims and mainly socialized with Europeans, but over time, she grew fond of the warmth, respect, and security in the Muslim community.

🔹 Facing immense pressure from her past friends and family, she remained steadfast in her faith, despite their attempts to make her renounce Islam. Reading the Qur’an became her source of strength and peace.

🔹 She vividly recalls a time when she and her friend mocked Muslims for attending Friday prayers, viewing them as a security threat. Now, looking back, she wonders: “Why did we think that way? Why did we fear their communal prayer?”

🔹 Despite a difficult year filled with rejection, one friend, Kate, stood by her side, offering unwavering support—even though she herself was not Muslim.

🔹 Now, years later, she is happily married in Dubai, living a life filled with faith, respect, and tranquility—something she had been searching for all along.

🌟 How a Young American Found Islam Through Nahj al-Balagha 🌟

📖 A Story of Guidance and Divine Light

Ayatollah Hossein Mazaheri, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Qazvin, shared an inspiring story about a young African-American man who embraced Islam after reading Nahj al-Balagha—the profound words of Imam Ali (AS).

The Turning Point
The young man, formerly Christian, was browsing his university library when a book caught his attention. As he randomly flipped through its pages, one powerful statement struck him deeply:

"By Allah, if I were given all the wealth of this world in exchange for taking a single grain from an ant, I would never do it! What does Ali have to do with these fleeting pleasures?" (Sermon 224, Nahj al-Balagha)

💫 He trembled in awe.
"Who is this man with such greatness?" he wondered. Comparing Imam Ali’s (AS) justice to the moral decay around him, he was moved to tears.

The Search for Truth
With no prior knowledge of Imam Ali (AS), he checked the book’s details—Nahj al-Balagha, by Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS).

📞 Eager to meet the author, he called the publisher:
"I read Nahj al-Balagha and want to meet its writer!"

The publisher gently explained that Imam Ali (AS) lived centuries ago—the Prophet’s (PBUH) closest companion and the first Imam of the Shia.

A Life Transformed
From that moment, he immersed himself in Nahj al-Balagha. The more he read, the more certain he became: Truth lies with Imam Ali (AS).

🔮 "If I turn away from this path, I will surely lose," he realized—and thus, he embraced Shi’a Islam.

🌹 Lessons from the Story:
✔ Divine guidance can come through a single word.
✔ Imam Ali’s (AS) justice and wisdom transcend time.
✔ Truth-seekers will always find their way.

🌸 From Rome to the Light of Imam Ali (a.s.) — The Story of Roxana, an Italian Revert to Shia Islam

📖 “My conversion to Shi‘a Islam is an indescribable blessing from God.” — Roxana

Roxana, a young woman from Rome, Italy, grew up in a Christian family and studied physiotherapy. For most of her life, she was indifferent to religion — even harboring resentment toward Islam due to the negative media portrayals around her. But destiny had a different plan. 🌙

🌿 The Turning Point

About eight years ago, Roxana embraced Islam. At first, she followed Sunni teachings for a year, but her heart was restless — full of unanswered questions. She says that whenever she tried to ask about Shi‘a Islam, she was met with anger and avoidance. “I knew this wasn’t the end of my journey,” she recalls, “I felt deep inside that I still hadn’t reached the truth.”

One night, through Facebook, she came across a newly converted Shi‘a girl. Roxana read all her posts in one sitting, crying without knowing why. That night she didn’t sleep — instead, she read, researched, and wept. It was the night she met Imam Hussein (a.s.), Imam Ali (a.s.), and the beautiful concept of Mahdism — the hope-filled belief in the awaited Imam.

💫 The Love That Changed Everything

Soon after, Roxana found herself drawn to Amir al-Mu’minin, Imam Ali (a.s.). Every time she hears his blessed name in the Adhan (call to prayer), tears stream down her cheeks. Her Iranian friend, Fatemeh Golnari, who lives in Milan, describes it beautifully:

“Roxana asks me how I feel when I hear the Adhan. I tell her it feels like light entering my heart. She smiles and says, ‘That’s the light of faith.’ Sometimes I feel she is the born Muslim and I am the new one!”
🌷 A Divine Invitation on Eid al-Ghadir

On the blessed day of Eid al-Ghadir, Roxana visited the Imam Ali (a.s.) Center in Milan without knowing it was a major Islamic celebration. She had gone there for a cultural event, but when she realized what day it was, she kept repeating “SubhanAllah” and “Alhamdulillah” in her Italian accent, overwhelmed by divine coincidence.

“God brought me here on Ghadir,” she whispered with tears of gratitude.

🕊️ Trials and Peace Behind the Hijab

Roxana decided to wear the hijab, knowing well the challenges that awaited her in Europe. “Everyone in my family and society is Christian, but I am at peace,” she says. “Hijab is my identity now. My hardships are nothing compared to the tranquility I feel inside.”

She has visited Iran twice, traveling through Tehran, Tabriz, and especially falling in love with Mashhad and Jamkaran — cities she calls “the places where my soul rests.”

📚 Spreading the Wisdom of Imam Ali (a.s.) in Italian

Today, Roxana dedicates her time to translating Nahj al-Balagha and the sayings of Imam Ali (a.s.) into Italian, so that her people can access the timeless wisdom of Islam’s greatest teacher.

“The words of Imam Ali,” she says, “belong to all humanity — Muslim or not. Everyone deserves to read them.”

🌹 Roxana’s story is a shining example of how divine love crosses borders, languages, and traditions — leading hearts to truth.

🇫🇷✨ “Love for Lady Fatimah (SA) Led Me to Islam” — A French Woman’s Journey to Faith 🌹

🕊️ “With Islam, I finally found peace,” says Annie Taxi, a French woman who recently embraced Islam. Her journey began not with books or debates, but with love — love for Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA), the noble daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“It was the love and admiration for Lady Fatimah (SA) that changed the course of my life,” Annie explains. “Through her, I discovered Islam and the path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).”

🌸 The Light of Lady Fatimah (SA)

Annie shares that the steadfastness and strength of Lady Fatimah (SA) deeply inspired her:

“When you study her life, you learn devotion to faith, true love for one’s husband, perfect motherhood, and pure love of God. She endured immense hardship during the early days of Islam, yet remained by her father’s side. The Prophet honored her as ‘Umm Abiha’ — the mother of her father.”

📖 From a Christian Home to the Qur’an

Born and raised in a Christian family in France, Annie had little direct exposure to Islam. However, after meeting her Muslim husband, she began to see a different image of Islam — one of mercy, discipline, and inner peace.

“Despite the false portrayals of Islam in Western media, I wanted to discover the truth for myself. I read the Qur’an — not once, but twice — and studied it deeply to understand its message. Then I realized why God revealed the Qur’an after the Torah and the Gospel.”

She found in the Qur’an a balance that other scriptures lacked:

“In the Torah, logic and decision-making are emphasized; in the Gospel, it’s the heart and emotions. But the Qur’an connects both — intellect and heart work together in harmony. That balance convinced me that Islam is the perfect and complete path.”

❤️ Choosing Islam with Awareness

Annie stresses that her conversion was entirely a conscious, personal choice:

“I embraced Islam not because someone forced me, but because my mind and heart both led me there. I wanted to be closer to God, to live with truth and purpose.”

Since becoming Muslim, Annie says her life has been filled with peace and joy:

“Whenever I face difficulties, I open the Qur’an — and I find the answer. It truly has guidance for every matter in life. If someone doesn’t find answers there, it’s only because they haven’t read it carefully.”

🌺 A Message to the World

She adds that many in France still know little about Islam:

“Most people here only know Islam from the news, not from experience. If they studied it sincerely, they would discover its beauty as I did.”

🕊️ Annie’s story reminds us that the love of Lady Fatimah (SA) still transforms hearts across the world — her light continues to guide seekers of truth to the path of God. 🌙
