🔴 Islam Answered All My Questions Sakineh shares that before embracing Islam, she had many unanswered questions about life: "I didn’t know much about life, and I spent a lot of time researching. Questions like ‘Why are we here? What is the purpose of this…
💠 My Paradise is the Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA)
Sakineh loves Iran and its kind-hearted people, but there is one place that stands out for her above all others—the two holy cities of Qom and Mashhad. "Whenever I get the chance, I travel to Qom and the shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA); it brings me a unique sense of peace." Whenever she feels down, she visits the shrine: "I love visiting Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and Imam Reza (AS). Being in their shrines gives me a sense of tranquility, as if I’m in paradise." The most significant figure in Sakineh’s spiritual life, however, is still Imam Hussein (AS).
Although she hasn’t visited Karbala yet, it’s a journey she plans to make this year. Despite not having the chance to visit Imam Hussein (AS), she feels a deep connection with the third Shia Imam, which is why she chose the name Sakineh—a name that could have easily been Rughayyah or Zainab. She explains her choice: "Sakineh is the daughter of Imam Hussein (AS). I’ve read and heard many elegies and stories about her." The loving bond between Sakineh (SA) and her father, and the suffering she endured after his martyrdom until her own death, deeply moved this newly converted Muslim woman. These reasons compelled her to take the name Sakineh, to honor the daughter of the Master of Martyrs.
In closing, Sakineh has a message for the people of Iran: "Please don’t pay attention to the Western propaganda. Iranian and Islamic traditions are incredibly valuable. The youth should strive to preserve these traditions and ignore the Western media."
