🔹 Explanation of the Eighth Day of Ramadan Supplication from the Perspective of Mahdism

In the supplication for the eighth day of Ramadan, we ask Allah for four significant blessings: mercy towards orphans, feeding the needy, spreading peace, and companionship with the righteous. These concepts are deeply connected to the true expectation of Imam Mahdi (aj) and the path of preparation for his reappearance.

1️⃣ Showing Mercy to Orphans and the Oppressed: The Duty of Awaiters of Imam Mahdi (aj)

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي فِيهِ رَحْمَةَ الْأَيْتَامِ
Allāhumma arzuqnī fīhi raḥmata al-ayyām
Imam Mahdi (aj) will be the protector of the oppressed and orphans. In his global government, justice will prevail to such an extent that no oppressed person will remain without support. During the period of occultation, orphans and the needy are in greater need of the mercy and assistance of those awaiting Imam Mahdi (aj).
📜 The Holy Quran: "And they ask you concerning the orphans. Say: improving their condition is best." (Al-Baqarah: 220)

2️⃣ Feeding the Needy: Practicing Justice for the Era of Reappearance

وَ إِطْعَامَ الطَّعَامِ
Wa iṭ‘āma al-ṭa‘ām
One of the main objectives of Imam Mahdi's (aj) uprising is to eradicate poverty and establish economic justice. It is narrated that he will distribute wealth fairly, eliminating poverty.
📜 Imam al-Baqir (as): "When Imam Mahdi (aj) appears, he will distribute wealth equally among the people to the extent that no one will be found in need of zakat." (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 390)

Awaiters must prepare for his reappearance by supporting the poor and the hungry from today.

3️⃣ Spreading Peace and Brotherhood: A Key Trait of Imam Mahdi’s (aj) Companions

وَ إِفْشَاءَ السَّلَامِ
Wa ifshā’a al-salām
The global government of Imam Mahdi (aj) will be based on peace, security, and universal brotherhood.
📜 The Holy Prophet (pbuh):
"As-Salām (peace) is one of the names of Allah, so spread it among yourselves..." (Kanz al-‘Ummāl: 25237)

In the government of Imam Mahdi (aj), global peace and security will prevail. His followers must be advocates of peace and kindness, spreading the culture of greeting and goodwill within society.

4️⃣ Companionship with the Righteous and Its Influence on the Awaiting Community

وَ صُحْبَةَ الْكِرَامِ
Wa ṣuḥbata al-kirām
A true awaiter must associate with righteous and virtuous individuals. Imam Ali (as) states:
📜 "Companionship with the righteous brings goodness, just as the wind carries the fragrance when it passes through a scented place." (Gharar al-Hikam, Vol. 2, p. 201)

Those whose hearts beat for Imam Mahdi (aj) should be influential in society and place themselves among the righteous and those who sincerely await his reappearance.
