๐น Verse 150 โ Surah An-Nisa | Wilayah & Mahdism Explained
๐ The Noble Verse
โIndeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and wish to make a distinction between Allah and His messengers, and say, โWe believe in some and reject others,โ and wish to adopt a way in between.โ
(An-Nisa, 4:150)
โ๏ธ Wilayah Narrations
โ Ali ibn Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) ๐ฌ โThis verse refers to those who believed in the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) but rejected the guardianship (wilayah) of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him). They sought to separate Allah from His messengers. These are the very people who said: โWe believe in some and disbelieve in others,โ and they tried to choose a path separate from the line of prophethood and wilayah.โ
๐ Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt (AS), vol. 3 | Al-Qummi | Al-Burhan
โ Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) ๐ฌ โWhen he was asked: โAre all Muslims part of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family)?โ he replied: โNo! The true Ummah are the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt, and whoever does not acknowledge the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt is among those who believe in some and reject others.โโ
๐ Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt (AS), vol. 3 | Daโaโim al-Islam
๐ Wilayah Perspective
๐น This verse unveils the reality of the great deviation after the Prophet (PBUH): separating the path of Tawhid from the path of Wilayah.
๐น Incomplete and selective belief is, in fact, disbelief in part of the religionโbecause the religion of God is whole and perfected through Wilayah.
๐น Whoever separates the Prophet from his Ahl al-Bayt is a โtrue disbeliever,โ and in the narrations, rejecting Wilayah is described as severing the bond between God and His Messenger.
โจ Mahdist Perspective
๐ธ In the era of occultation, this same separation persists: outward acceptance of Islam but denial of the guardianship of the Master of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
๐ธ The waiting community must guard itself against falling into the slogan: โWe believe in some and reject others.โ
๐ธ Imam Mahdi (AJ) is the perfect embodiment of the unity of Tawhid, Prophethood, and Wilayah; whoever denies his Wilayah is included in this verse.
โ Wilayah & Mahdist Conclusion
โ๏ธ The path of true faith is complete connection with Allah, His Messenger, and the infallible successors (peace be upon them).
โ๏ธ Partial belief is nothing but gradual disbelief and the path of deviation for nations.
โ๏ธ The reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AJ) will end all these divisions; the complete and united faith will be manifest in the light of his Wilayah.
