6. Verse 6 of Surah An-Naba’
Verse:
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا
Translation:
Have We not made the earth a cradle [of rest]?
Brief Tafsir (Commentary):
This verse highlights God's power in creating the earth as a stable and comfortable foundation for human life. The earth is designed to be a peaceful and nurturing environment, fit for the growth and sustenance of all living beings. It serves as a reminder for humankind to recognize God's blessings and strive in accordance with His divine goals.
Wilayah Perspective:
Though implicit, this verse also hints at divine authority and governance. Just as the earth is made to provide calm and order, human society must also be guided under the leadership of God's representative on earth—the divinely appointed guardian (Wali). Peace and harmony on earth are sustained through this divinely sanctioned leadership.
Mahdavi Perspective:
From a Mahdavi viewpoint, this verse alludes to the time of the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). When he returns, the earth will truly become a place of peace and justice. Under his divinely guided leadership, the world will be transformed into a realm of tranquility and universal prosperity.
