No matter where students searched for him—be it Najaf, Kufa, Masjid Sahla, or Karbala—there was never a trace of him.

Understanding its significance, Sayyid Hassan wrote a short letter — just one page — and sent the ring along with it to Imam Khamenei, acknowledging him as the current deputy of the Imam of our era.
The ring and the letter are now preserved in the Imam Reza Shrine museum, as part of the exhibition of gifts received by Imam Khamenei throughout his life.

"If I could give my life and my years for my master and lord, His Eminence Imam Khamenei, I would do so willingly and gratefully. I present this ring, which may indeed be the actual ring, engraved with the name of Uthman ibn Saeed, to the deputy of the Imam in our time."
