During the time of Imam Ali, the people failed a divine test. As a result the commander of the faithful was martyred during worship. Ayatollah Khamenei Read More: http://english.khamenei.ir/news/4915
▪️ If one's #politics originate from morality and feed from spirituality, then it will be a tool for the people who are faced with it, to achieve perfection and paradise.

▪️But if politics become separate from morality and spirituality, then it will be demagoguery. It will be a tool for gaining power at any price, for accumulating wealth and for furthering one's own interests. This kind of politics is like a pest. It is a pest for both the politician himself and for the people who are faced with this kind of politics in their everyday life.

▪️One of the characteristics of Imam Ali's politics is that it was free of any deception and trickery.
When comparing himself with Muawiyah, he says, "I swear to #God that Muawiyah is not more clever than me" [Nahjul Balaghah, Sermon 200]. But what should #Imam_Ali do? When he is committed to #piety and #morality, then his hands and his tongue are tied. This is the method of the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.).

♦️ The Imam of one of the mosques in London shared a story: I moved to a mosque in the heart of London, away from my usual residence. Every day, I would take the bus from the mosque to my home. One day, a seemingly insignificant incident occurred on this routine journey. I boarded the bus, handed the fare to the driver, and he returned the rest to me. As I sat down, I realized the driver had given me 20 pence extra. I debated with myself whether I should return the amount. On one hand, it didn't seem like a significant sum, and I thought to myself, "Is it really necessary to return it?" ⁉️ As I pondered, I eventually decided to return the extra money to the driver because, after all, what is right is right.

When disembarking, I handed the additional amount to the driver and said, "Excuse me, you mistakenly gave me an extra 20 pence."
🚕 The driver smiled and said:
👈 "Excuse me, aren't you the new Imam who recently arrived in this area? I've been contemplating Islam for some time. I intentionally added this amount to see how a Muslim would react in such a situation!"

🧔 The Imam of the mosque replied:
When I stepped off the bus, I felt my legs could no longer support me. I leaned against the nearest traffic light pole.
Tears involuntarily streamed down my face. I looked up at the sky and said:
"Oh God! I was so close to selling my faith for 20 pence!!!"

🌺 Live in such a way that those who know you, but don't know God, get acquainted with God through their acquaintance with you.

The Harms of #Music in the Teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS)

🔴 1⃣ Sudden Death and Unanswered Prayers
Imam Sadiq (AS) states:
"A house where music and singing are present is not safe from sudden death and painful calamities. Prayers are not accepted in such a house, and angels do not enter it." (1)

🔴 2⃣ Cause of Hypocrisy
Imam Sadiq (AS) also says:
"Playing music plants the seed of hypocrisy in the heart just as water helps plants grow." (2)

🔴 3⃣ Loss of Blessings in Life
The Prophet (SAW) declares:
"Angels do not enter a house that contains gambling, alcohol, or musical instruments. The prayers of the inhabitants are not accepted, and blessings depart from that house." (3)

🔴 4⃣ Leading to Adultery
The Prophet (SAW) warns:
"Music and singing lead a person towards adultery." (4)
In another narration, it is said: "Avoid music and singing, for they erode modesty, increase sexual desires, destroy manliness, and do everything that alcohol does. If you are addicted to music, avoid women, for music and women together lead a person to adultery." (5)

🔴 5⃣ Punishment in the Hereafter
The Prophet (SAW) states:
"Whoever listens to frivolous entertainment will have molten lead poured into their ears on the Day of Judgment." (6)

🔴 6⃣ Bad Ending
A man told Imam Sadiq (AS):
"My neighbors have maidservants who sing and play the lute. Sometimes, I prolong my stay in the restroom just to listen to them." The Imam replied: "Do not do that. You will have no excuse before Allah on the Day of Judgment. Have you not read the verse that says: 'Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart—all of those will be questioned about.'?" The man said: "By Allah, it is as if I have never read or heard this verse before. I will never do it again and seek Allah's forgiveness." The Imam then said: "Rise, perform ablution, and pray as much as you can, for you were engaged in a major sin. You were in a bad state, and if you had died without repenting, you would have been ruined." (7)

🔴 7⃣ Hardening of the Heart
The Prophet (SAW) said to Imam Ali (AS):
"Three things harden the heart: listening to music and singing, hunting, and frequenting the courts of tyrants." (8)

🔴 8⃣ Loss of Modesty and Indifference
Imam Sadiq (AS) says:
"If someone plays the harp (a type of string instrument) in their house for forty days, Allah will impose a devil named 'Qafandar' upon them, who will take over every part of their body. As a result, they will lose all sense of modesty and become indifferent to what is said to them." (9)

🔷 Amir al-Mu’minin Imam Ali (peace be upon him) — Nahj al-Balaghah, Sermon 233

“You live in a time when those who speak the truth are few,
tongues are unable to utter honesty,
and seekers of truth are held in little esteem.

People of this age are immersed in sin,
their youth are ill-mannered,
their elders are corrupt,
their scholars are deceitful,
and their reciters are hypocritical.

The young show no respect for the old,
and the rich show no mercy toward the poor.”

💔 These words of the Commander of the Faithful echo the spiritual decay of many societies today — where deception prevails over sincerity, and truth becomes a stranger among people.

Let us strive to be among the truthful, the merciful, and the humble servants of God, who resist the corruption of their age through faith and sincerity. 🌿
