🌍 A Critical Look at the Theorists of Racial Hypotheses
🧠 The Falsehood of Aryan, Semitic, and Turkic Race Theories
Source: JS Center (Iran)

Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, a number of European thinkers attempted to “scientifically” justify the supposed superiority of the white (Caucasian) race. By measuring physical traits—even reproductive organs—they sought to establish hierarchies among human groups. Though their theories have long been discredited, their influence still echoes in modern racial and political ideologies.

⚖️ Christoph Meiners (1747–1810)

Meiners was one of the first to apply the term “race” in historical studies. He divided humanity into two “main races”:

• The Caucasian, whom he considered intelligent, moral, and destined to rule.

• The Mongolian, viewed as intellectually and culturally inferior.
His ideas helped build the myth of a European “master race.”

🧩 Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)

Even the great philosopher Hegel reflected racial biases. He argued that only Europe represented “true history”, while Africans were “outside history” and Asians “static.”
For him, Europeans were the model of the complete human being — a view that justified colonial domination under the guise of philosophy.

🧬 Arthur de Gobineau (1816–1882)

Often called the father of modern racism, Gobineau divided humanity into three races: white, yellow, and black.
He claimed that all progress and civilization came from the “pure white Aryan blood,” and that racial mixing led to decline and corruption.
His writings inspired the racial ideology of Nazism decades later.

🧠 Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Nietzsche introduced the idea of cultivating a “master race” (Herrn Rasse)—a superior ruling class born through selective breeding. Though later distorted by extremists, his ideas were exploited by racial theorists who sought to justify domination and social hierarchy.

✡️ Theodor Herzl (1860–1904)

In the ideology of Zionism, racial concepts blended with religion and nationalism. Herzl envisioned a “Jewish state” in Palestine as a bastion of European civilization against the so-called “barbarians” of the East — a clear reflection of the same white-supremacist logic that underpinned European colonialism.

📚 Max Weber, Stewart Chamberlain, and Adolf Hitler

Later thinkers such as Weber tied racial differences to economic and psychological capacities.
Chamberlain portrayed Jesus as an “Aryan prophet” and saw the German race as chosen by God to lead humanity.
Hitler, influenced by Gobineau and Chamberlain, pushed these theories to their horrific extreme — declaring the Aryan race as divine, and others as expendable.

🩸 Aftermath

The myth of racial superiority led to wars, genocide, and colonial exploitation — from Africa to Asia, from the Holocaust to apartheid.
Even today, Zionism, Western racism, and ethnic nationalism continue to draw on these 19th-century delusions, masking exploitation and domination as “civilization” and “progress.”

🕊️ Conclusion

Any attempt to measure intelligence, morality, or cultural worth by skin color, skull shape, or geography is unscientific and inhumane.
Racial theories were never about science—they were tools for imperialism and economic exploitation.
The survival of such ideas today, in the form of ethnic superiority or nationalist extremism, reveals how deeply racism was woven into the political and intellectual fabric of modern history.

📜 The Great Lie of the “Aryan Superiority” Myth
The Falsehood of the Aryan, Semitic, and Turkic Racial Theories

🔹 The so-called “Aryan race” theory — a pillar of modern racism — was not an ancient truth but a European invention born from colonial ambitions and pseudo-scientific delusions. The term Arya, first mentioned by Herodotus in 480 B.C., simply referred to a group among many in the Persian Empire — nothing more. There is no evidence in his writings or in Achaemenid inscriptions that the Aryans were considered a “superior” or “chosen” people.

🔹 Historical inscriptions by Darius and Xerxes used “Arya” only as a linguistic or geographic term, not a racial one. Darius described himself as “a Persian, son of a Persian, Aryan, of Aryan lineage” — meaning he belonged to a community sharing the same language and culture. Scholars such as Roland Kent, Wieshofer, and Pierre Briant confirmed that the original Persian word referred to lineage or tribe, not race.

🔹 Yet, in the 18th and 19th centuries, European thinkers like Friedrich Schlegel, Ernest Renan, and Max Müller distorted the term. They turned it into a mythical origin of the “superior white race,” using linguistic studies to justify imperialism and colonial domination. These “racial scientists” ranked humanity by skull shape and skin color — creating the illusion of a divine European lineage stretching back to Asia.

🔹 Schlegel claimed that Germanic people were descendants of the ancient Aryans of Asia, giving the word “Arya” a false etymological link with “honor.” Later, Renan poetically declared the Aryans to be the torchbearers of reason and morality — conveniently ignoring the brutal crimes and genocides committed by colonial powers against Africans and Asians.

🔹 Ironically, Max Müller — one of the main architects of the Aryan myth — later retracted his own theory, warning that “there are Aryan and Semitic languages, but no Aryan or Semitic races.” His caution was ignored by the racial ideologues who later inspired Nazi Germany’s Aryan supremacy ideology.

🔹 Ancient Persian and Avestan texts themselves refute the idea of an Aryan “master race.” The Yashts speak of Aryan lands only in geographical terms — without any mention of racial superiority. As modern scholars confirm, ancient Iranians never had a racial worldview; they distinguished peoples by language and culture, not by biology or skin color.

🔹 The so-called “Aryan” myth was therefore a political fabrication, not a historical truth. It served European colonialism, fascism, and Zionist racial thought alike — turning a word that once meant “noble” or “free” into a symbol of domination and exclusion.

🕊️ True human nobility is not in race or bloodline but in virtue, justice, and wisdom — values that transcend ethnicity and geography.

✡ On November 10, 1975, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 3379 with 75 votes in favor, 35 against, and 32 abstentions, declaring that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination.

💥 However, in 1991, the same Assembly passed Resolution 46/86 with 111 votes in favor, 33 against, and 13 abstentions, revoking Resolution 3379 — effectively removing Zionism from the category of racist ideologies.
