Namaste,

We are very happy to invite you to Maghamaka Mahotsavam which is the oldest and the largest river festival of Kerala.

The festival was conducted on the banks of Bharatapuzha river in Malappuram Kerala from time immemorial , but had abruptly stopped in 1766AD due to invasion of Hyder Ali.

UgraNarasimha Charitable Trust had revived the festival in 2019 and is being conducted every year.

Date: 20,21 Jan 2022
Venue: Thirunavaya-Thavanur, Malappuram district Kerala

Various Yajnas, Homams and various other rituals will be performed as part of the festival. Goa Governor Sri PS Sreedharan Pillai will be attending the festival this year along with many other dignitaries and mathathipathis.

This year, the festival will also regain its martial character where great warriors will display their martial arts skills.

This ancient river festival will play a major role in the civilisational resurgence in Malappuram district.
