* 🧐 **Study Reveals Personality Link to Fewer Children:** Individuals with high "Openness to Experience" (imaginative, intellectually curious) tend to have fewer children due to delayed parenthood, shorter relationships, and fewer positive motivations.

* 🧑‍🔬 **Research by Milić & Međedović:** Conducted by Aleksandra Milić (University of Pavia) and Janko Međedović (Institute of Criminological and Sociological Research), the study surveyed 1,024 individuals, average age 32.3, with an even gender split.

* 💡 **Key Explanations for Trend:** Higher Openness was associated with waiting longer for the first child, shorter romantic relationships, and fewer positive reasons for wanting children, all contributing to smaller family sizes.

Sperm in space are likely to get disoriented and lost while struggling to find their way to an egg, a new study has found. When exposed to microgravity in experiments, sperm tumble around like an untethered astronaut. Read Full Article #SpaceBiology #SpermInSpace…
🚀 New study finds sperm become disoriented and struggle to navigate in microgravity, tumbling like "untethered astronauts."

🔬 Adelaide University researchers mimicked space conditions to test human, mouse, and pig sperm. Human sperm exposed to microgravity showed a ~40% reduction in reaching their target in a simulated female reproductive tract.

🌕 Research aims to understand reproduction for future human space settlements on the Moon and Mars, as well as for potential food sources.

💡 Adding progesterone showed promise in overcoming sperm disorientation in microgravity.
