Kal socio offline batch mein i asked a few gs questions to students and they didnโt knowโฆ a lot of them have been preparing for a couple of years.. got me thinking, bohot kuchh karna hai.. like bohot kuchh.. ke vast majority students keep preparing in an unstructured wayโฆ and saal ke saal beet jaate hainโฆ and then kuchh nahin hotaโฆ and then they wonder whyโฆ yesterday shook meโฆ those were conventional gs questions.. one from history and one from internal securityโฆ made me realise vast majority preparing on their own, is literally not able to do it right.. then i thought ke basic basic cheezein poochh kar i might be able to tell them all ke you are not doing right but, karna kya hai yeh still unnhe pataa nahin chalega kabhiโฆ iโm sorry to say but vast majority is just spending time preparing.. but not preparing ๐

I have mentioned some peaks and glaciers in the map as well.
The part of Zaskar that goes into Tibet is called Kailash Range
You have to draw these from this pic once and then you have to draw it again without seeing.
It will take 10 mins..but it will all add up in the end.

Buying 1 MLA gets them disqualified, but buying 2/3rds gets you a new government.
The Anti-Defection Law didn't stop horse trading it just made it wholesale.
Hereโs why our mandate keeps getting stolen and how we actually fix it
โ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป
โ1985 (52nd Amend):
10th Schedule introduced to curb frequent defections.
โ2003 (91st Amend): Raised the merger threshold to 2/3rds, ending the "split" loophole.
โ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐
โWholesale Defections:
Stricter rules shifted focus to engineered, large-scale defections fueled by heavy inducements.
โSpeaker Bias:
Vesting disqualification power in Presiding Officers leads to deliberate, partisan delays lasting months or years.
โJudicial Limits:
The Supreme Court notes petitions should be decided in 3 months, but this is rarely followed.
โ๐ช๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ
โAutomatic Resignation:
A law to instantly terminate an MLA's tenure the exact date they resign from their party.
โFresh Mandate:
Force defectors to immediately seek re-election.

โAn IAS officer is heading a committee to award a major highway construction contract.
The most technically sound and cost-effective bid comes from a company where the officer's brother is a silent partner.
The officer immediately recuses himself from the committee and transfers the decision to a colleague, even though it delays the project by a week.
What specific ethical principle is the officer primarily demonstrating?
