David Bowie
📀 Low
45 years ago David Bowie released his 11th studio album Low. It's a complete change of sound in his music, reflecting a complete change in personal life! After years of drug abuse in the US #DavidBowie and his friend #IggyPop had just relocated first in France and at the end of 1976 in Berlin.
Low, recorded in France and completed in #Germany, is the first album of the so called Berlin Trilogy, where Bowie and Iggy collaborated and appeared in the respective albums and tours. In Low Bowie flirts with #ExperimentalRock and #Ambient, thanks to the work of his longtime producer #TonyVisconti and his longtime friend #BrianEno, the genius who was actually inventing ambient music at the time! 🤟
The sound is also deeply influenced by German acts such as #Neu! and #Kraftwerk.
The album contains the single "Sound And Vision", one of the biggest Bowie successes (not intended by him who did nothing to promote it) thanks to BBC usage of the song in commercials.
