🎼 25 September 1955. Happy Birthday 🥳🍾 to Adelmo Fornaciari, worldwide known as his elementary teacher used to call him, Zucchero.
Considered the "father of Italian blues", #Zucchero has sold over 60 million records 😳 around the world throughout his 45 years solo career. His intenational duets and collaborations are uncountable, having played with the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brian May, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, B. B. King, Sting, Bono, Dolores O'Riordan, Paul Young, Peter Gabriel, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli...
I couldn't but choose one of his last videos here in Venice, during #Italy lockdown 🤟

🎼25 September 1981. 40 years ago Saxon, one of the leading bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), released their 4th studio album, Denim & Leather, which contains the usual bunch of classics of the genre: among them this Princess Of The Night, which is not dedicated to a woman as expected but... to an old locomotive 🚂 of The London, Midland and Scottish Railway 🤔...
Heavy⚡️Metal hearts ❤️‍🔥🤷‍♂😉

🎸📜 #25September 1976.

The first ever Rock concert in Venice island took place in #SanMarco Square.
#PaulMcCartney and the Wings played in front of a local and international audience on the 10th anniversary of the 1966 terrifying flood that almost destroyed the city.

The concert was the final act of a series of events organized by Unesco to raise awarness on Venice fragility and donations to preserve the city.

Fun fact: the stage was built in the usual way of the time, like they were anywhere else in the world, the day after the pavement stones in San Marco square were damaged 😬
